Excellent video. Definitely among my favorite farms as well! A couple thoughts: 1) Bearger will not harvest wood from trees if he walks over them. He's only harvesting if he's swiping, charging, or pounding the ground. 2) Gekkos will only spawn if there are no other gekkos within a five-tile radius, so grass planted around a pen will not spawn more. You'll want to plant your grass at least five tiles away. They also have a 20-day cooldown between spawns for a single patch of grass.
My favourite farm is many Houndius Shootius surrounded on three sides by a pig farm, a bunnymen farm and a merm farm. Three in one, more if you count spiders and moonrock
It's hard to pinpoint where I learned this farms, or from who. I know at least 2:04 and 4:40 is from @Lakhnish Monster. Here's the link for his channel: ru-vid.comvideos Moon Rock Farm: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3q9AY79z8EI.html Volt Goat Farm: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xAtcFVhD8VQ.html
Really useful video I didn’t knew about the volt goat and the spider farm. Plus the design is very sick. I love it. EDIT: please keep the good work and make more videos
Im actually like make butter farm by raccoon cat spawn with flowers, because flower some times spawning butterfly. And then raccoon cat kill them, if he see butter, he not be eat them, but he eat butterfly wing. (bad english)
i tried the werepig farm, and when i was going to pick one off, it immediately attacked me. And no, he didnt attack me after my strike, he attacked me DURING me strike, making it virtually impossible to react and dodge. Not sure if it was just glitching out, and my internet isnt really an issue, but ye it was sad cuz that cost me the game and i had a lot of good items and a good setup in between all biomes. Basically the pig made me super low on health, then hounds came and killed me, to which then i revived with touchstone that was rt next to my base, but during my travel to it the hounds found my rabbit farm, broke thru it, and then when i killed them they fkin COMBUSTED. After the hounds killed my rabbits and destroyed the farm meat with their fire, they locked onto me and combusted the thouchstone which made all my birch trees and bushes and items to fkin burn. My game was literally ruined So ye im a bit discouraged to try these other farms. Idk maybe update it cuz there are prob some glitches now or something
It a mod called ActionQueue Reborn, here's a link for it: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1608191708 It has A LOT of uses, collecting stuff, planting trees, mining, choppping and more. Check it's description for detailed information.
hey man i got a question about the pig farm, when you kill them will new ones spawn in the same homes where the previous ones lived or do i have to bring more pigs?
Ty! There's a very detailed guide from Dst Nevoart specific about farming pigs with fire: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BPYhioOfFPY.html
Yes. A little bit after Wanda was released they changed the AI for most mobs and bosses and unfortunately werepigs started fighting back after that update :(
@@CatPersonDST Thanks that’s good to know. They have the same sort of behaviour in single player, where they will randomly have a swipe at you every now and then.
If you set a monster into fire, yes, the loot will be ashes. But the pigs are not on fire, the broken wooden walls and grass underneath them are. You can notice how different those two things are by setting a tree on fire and standing on top of it. You won't catch on fire, but you will get hurt from it. And as soon as you walk away, the damage stops (considering that you are not overheating, which is another different type of damage.)
Any merm vs pig farms? Im trying to think of ideas for pig farms as Wurt. I was thinking of making like a battle areana with pig houses and merm house in a cage. Have them fight constantly. Idk if it would work tho.
I have a graveyard set piece in my world, so I’m interested in setting up an automatic werepig farm there. However, the set piece incredibly far away from my base. Someone else told me that if I set an anemone nearby, that area will always be loaded and I can go to the graveyard late and still collect the loot. Is this true?
If you set it correctly (as shown on the video), yes! :) The mechanic behind it is kinda weird to explain, tho. By moving one goat of the herd somewhere else and leaving the other (last) one on the anenemy pen, the spawner was manipulated to be on the exact spot where that goat died (from the anenemy). And since anenemies deals damage offscreen, you don't even need to be close for this farm to work.
My pen has 42 Gekkos in it. I haven't seen an scapist in a really long time. I always do as I said in the video, I keep adding more until they start scaping. :) imgur.com/a/ssV9D0T
Bruh I made a grass gecko farm with wood fences and every single time I get new geckos a fence breaks and I lose them. After the 4th time with no evidence of destruction from other mobs I figured that fences just break naturally. Is this really the case? If so do stone walls also break? It just seems so unlikely given that it renders farms completely useless, so maybe spiders or hounds are damaging the fences...
Walls and fences don't break for no reason. There's definitely something else breaking the walls. Could be penguls during winter, mactusk and it's hounds if there are some nearby, random hounds from a hound wave, if it's close to sea it could even be skittersquids, etc. Try moving the farm somewhere else. I suggest you making a long wall between the old and the new farm so you can just scare the gekkos all at once to the new pen. It's also suggested to make multiple walls, 3 should enough.
As far as I know, there's only single player for mobile. I believe they are working on a multiplayer version for mobile, but there's not even a release date yet. It's called don't Starve newhome, if you want to look it up
@Levi Chicwown yeah lmao I never solokilled dragon fly, I cheated a bit and asked my friend to join as Maxwell and help me duo it lmao. Yeah seasonal bosses are enough for me xD
One more farm idea- Feed rocks to a few stonecrabs Lure them to a spider location near your base They kill the spiders every day and you can collect the meat without worrying for the meat in your inventory You can also use them to fight off other monsters Try this and if you like it then pls make a video on it
Excelente video!
ActionQueue Reborn. It lets you queue actions like collect grass, mine rocks, planting trees... steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1608191708
