If removing wireless charging helps achieve the $99, then I don't really mind. The battery in the case lasts long enough for you to plug it in at least once during the week. I don't really see it as a compromise.

Just got the 2 Pros and while I absolutely love the ANC and fantastic improvement to sound, the change in design from the Buds+ was a major step back. That design gives you a large pad around the entire bud to grab, hold, and adjust without activating the touch controls. I had to disable touch controls on the 2 Pros because there is just no way to touch them without hitting the touch pads.

I also got recently the 2 Pros, after losing my Buds+ case. The connection is a lot worse, the pass-through ambient sound is a lot worse, the base EQ has too much bass, battery life is a lot worse (4-5h vs 11h), sound quality is better (but tbh not a lot, despite me using .FLAC), I prefer the design, except for the in ear tips.

Earbud controls are something that seems to be neglected by a lot of earbud manufacturers despite being one of the most important parts of the user experience. The original Galaxy buds were my first pair of truely wireless earbuds ever and I have been consistently reminded of just how good the original's (and that of the buds +) design was in this regard. It seems to be a bit of a tug of war, trying to find the right size/shape of an earbud while combining the right size/shape touch area for ergonomics but then the arguement of making the entire package larger/smaller for better audio quality/comfort comes into play. I'd like to try some of those

I loved my Buds+ and never in my wildest dreams expected them to make a come back... I do prefer the old case as they were considerably slimmer, but happy to see this nonetheless.

My first ever wireless earbuds were the original Galaxy Buds. They were phenomenal. The sound was amazing, I did not care about noise cancelation, the price was good, it worked seamlessly with my Galaxy phone, and they were VERY comfortable on/in my ears. A few months ago those earbuds finally died on me after over 4 years of constant use. I ended up buying myself some Galaxy Buds Pro when I upgraded my Galaxy phone last year, since they came for free with my phone. I am not going to lie, although they are significantly better earbuds via sound and actually have noise cancelation, I genuinely do not like them because they are not as comfortable in my ears as other earbuds were. I have very sensitive ears, and any form of discomfort really affects me a lot. To see those original Galaxy Bud earbuds coming back, regardless if they aren't as good quality as my current buds, I am very excited for and happy to purchase a pair. Might sell or gift my current buds. Comfort over anything for me. Which is funny, because I am a sound snob, but if I really care about sound, I rather wear my headphones (and have them hardwired), which provide significantly better sounds than any earbuds can produce.

I'm in the same boat! I've had the Galaxy Buds for years and they're starting to die on me. For me they were the best earbuds for everyday use. I've been hesitant to buy the new Samsung offerings bc of the shape. Good to hear your experience!

Listening to this video on my 4 year old original galaxy bud, that being only the left one because the right one dies within 2 minutes of using it, but that's understandable considering I've been using them at max volume daily in the gym, running, at home CONSTANTLY for those for years. The Galaxy Buds+ were my first pair of TWS. The fit was great (ANC not required) and they were comfortable. I do wonder if they will retain the Edge Control feature. If they are anything like the original Buds+ then they would be an easy top pick to recommend to anyone.

Buds+ fit is so good. No wing tips needed (they hurt). Buds Pro 2 always feel like they are coming out and end up accidentally pausing music, adjusting them all the time.

My first buds were the buds plus because of your recommendation. I loved them. I later switch to the AirPods and while they have a bunch of ease of use features since I’m an iPhone user, they didn’t stay in my ears nearly as much, the battery life was dismal, but the active noise cancellation was very nice. Might need to get these!

I just received mines today I have a IPhone 14 pro max and my I pods just stop working , plus they hurt my ears so bad I couldn’t take it. These fit very well no discomfort and stay’s in place , the noise cancellation must work really good because I was on the phone with my husband and he kept asking. Are you still there? It’s so quiet I can’t hear nothing in the background and I had the TV and the fan on. Very satisfied with my purchase 🔥❤️💯

I love the tuch pads and wish I had them on my Buds 2 Pro. I want to be able to adjust my headphones and not accidentally change the song or pause it and not have to turn touch controls off to do that

So nice wings are back because they're so important for long lasting comfortable wear. It seems to be same case size, which is also very nice , as there are a lot really beautiful covers out there fitting from Buds Live to Buds 2 Pro. But of course sound quality has to be good ..

In, my personal opinion. Samsung should not have made the outside white and inside black. Its quite aesthetically unpleasing and they should just make it full black like the buds pro or buds 2 pro

I have the first buds, plus, pro, and live. All black. My original pair and the plus dont hold a charge as much anymore after using them almost daily since they came out, but i do prefer them so im glad to see this style coming back. But genuinly put off with the white outter case. Every other pair i have are all black. It matches. This is technically unimportant and not a big deal, but its big enough for me personally that it makes me question if getting the fit i prefer with a battery that isnt worn out is worth it or if i should just stick with my live and pro as my dailys.

Bought a set of Buds+ a couple months ago from eBay as "new old stock". They were so comfortable when i tried them but the buds were DOA. So moved on. So glad these have released. Just got mine today and they're great. The wireless charging is no issue for me and they sound amazing. Just sent back my more expensive Denon Perl Pro's cos these are rendering them pointless.

Recently bought the Buds 2 Pro so I wouldn't be buying these in a hurry but I do still use my buds+ exclusively for exercise due the awesome wing tips so maybe if they stop working I'll consider these. Good job Samsung bringing the wing tips back. Needs wireless charging though even buds sub £100 have it.

Buds+ were my first buds without the cable. Bought them to listen my music during fatbike rides. This means it had to took some wild stuff- sweat, weather, sometimes dropping etc. Buds+ were the WILD ones for me, due to those wing tips actually. They changed the game for me, fitted like custom made. Though, had a warranty case with those, the main sensor quit working... And they managed to lose my buds😪. Got my money back, but lose them too. After that, have had both, the Buds Pros and now the Pro2-s. Great great set of buds, but cause of the ridiculous lasting battery, still miss the original Buds+... Now, while having 2 sets of Pro2( one still not even opened), I really look forward to get the pair with those wing tips aswell👍🏻. Are they like old good Buds+ in terms of feeling? Is it true, that the IP rating is only down to ipx2😨? Thats a shame...with higher ip and wingtips, Samsung could have hit the jackpot easy💥👊...

My buds plus on the left side has gotten quieter since its the one I use the most after a daith piercing on my right won't allow me to. I was just searching for a replacement and am so happy to see this new lineup. I have the buds 2 and I still prefer the plus after having it for a year.

I had my right side get quieter (this is the side I use the most as well) it turned out that, over time there was buildup of wax🤢 I carefully disassembled the earbud and cleaned/unclogged it. Sounds like new!

Same. Left got very low. Take the tips off and give the grills a little scrub with some isopropyl alcohol. Good as new 👍

You just need to clean them with alcohol. All earbuds get quieter over time due to ear wax buildup.

I have bought old stock of the Buds+ off ebay as I use them for sleep. It will be interesting to find out if they have the battery life of the Buds+. If so, load me up with a couple of sets. If not, I have the Buds+.

I just got Buds 2 Pro yesterday to replace my Buds+ (decided to upgrade because I got a hugh discount from my local phone shop and got this Buds 2 Pro for only 90$). I actually prefer the Buds 2 Pro smaller size due to my big ears it pretty easy to just slot the buds in my ear compare to the Buds+ but well the fit is different for everyone depend on shape of their ears. And Battery life on Buds 2 Pro for me actually better than my Buds+ (but well I've been using Buds+ for many years so it battery might degraded already) I also like the matte finish on Buds 2 Pro cause the Buds+ glossy finish was a finger print magnet. But ngl tho Buds+ is a damn good ear buds for it price and I probably wouldn't upgrade if not for the hugh discount I got , I would probably give the Buds+ a good clean and hand it over to my little brother who using cheap chinese buds atm.

The aftermarket company that makes a wireless charging case will make bank. The noise canceling is better than an older pair of bose headphones I have. I wish I could somehow makes them more water resistant with silicone or something.

@marcusmason1718 the FE pair is a slightly different shape and they fit my ears better, they feel lighter too. The start & pause function is quicker too plus pairing was super quick (assume as the Bluetooth is more modern). Audio sound on both are similar and also both similar mic quality. Price wise I would go FE, fresher battery too

I'd guess the FEs will be just fine in most wet conditions. Water ingress is funny that way, a little of it is actually a fairly simple ordeal. You can dunk a plastic/paper cup with a flimsy lid under water and, despite full immersion, the cup would only see a drop or two through the straw slot. Get down to the size of these earbuds with glues/adhesives and fairly tight tollerances between plastic housing components and you can kinda guess that these will be just fine. Why the lower rating then? Well, afaik, the certification itself costs a sizeable amount of money. To a company like Samsung, it may not be much (I remember seeing someone mention a number on a forum to the tune of 5 digits USD) but they are also trying to keep the price down to sell a ton of these. More products in more frugal consumer's ears/hands/pockets sounds like a recipe for a bunch of warrantee repair requests if the rating were to be IPX7+. Chlorinated pools, salt water, chemically treated water, etc are all grey areas that would be more costly to prove than they'd be to send out a brand new pair as a replacement, so I kinda get why lower end earbuds get a lower rating. It's almost like an enhanced warrantee for the $250 pros or any other earbud pair with better a IPX certification. That's how I think of it, at least.

Those FE buds are badass. I have air pod pros and they sound good too but when I put in my samsungs and the noise canceling kicks in it actually makes my body feel weird lmao😂😂😂 like where the sound drowns out it k8nda feels like I got a buzz for a secomd or 2. And then I start jamming

Would definitely get them but lack of wireless charging is a deal-breaker for me. Being able to charge earbuds from my phone and in general leaving the case on the charger for some time is so much more comfortable than looking for a usb every time.

I miss the wingtip a lot, my Pro 2s slip throughout the day and I'm a UPS Driver so i get sweaty and sometimes don't have a free hand to adjust them. I love them other than the fit, but don't have the money to keep trying buds until I find the perfect ones 😅

Just got me buds fe. There are 3 things of note. They sound a little flatter then the bud2 pros. Not as crisp. The base is actually better on the buds fe. I was actually surprised. When you get the buds fe set the touch and hold to volume up and down. With just the phone volume toggle you will think bud volume is to low. Fit and comfort goes to fe. I still give overall sound quality to the pros but for 99 dollars these buds are the best you will find. They beat the 150 dollar buds2 imo. They lack the ear tap for volume which saddens me.

Please when testing ANC, test for sound quality with ANC on and off. One huge issue with the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro is the sound quality when ANC is on and it SUCKS. Please please test this and let us know. Love the content ❤

I preferred the sound of the buds pro. I preferred the comfort of the buds plus. The pros were so uncomfortable but sounded way better. I just got these from Best Buy for $50 because they are refurbished with the same warranty time will tell.

I love them. Seriously, I am in the bus every day and I can faintly hear the rumbling of the engine. In a café, I can't hear the music they play nor the people talk. I use them for an hour on the ANC and it spends 6% battery only. I also have the Sony WH-1000MX 5 headphones, and the ANC is slighty better than the buds. That is to be expected since they have headphones, but the buds' ANC are nearly as good ! The only bummer for the Buds FE is that there seems to be no options for volume control. The one-tap, two-tap, and hold, are only for pause music, next song, accept/decline call, and switch to ANC/Ambiant. There are no controls for volume up or down, you have to change it manually on your phone.

Hey got this ear buds a few days ago and I love them but wished I saw your video before I got them to be aware the gates for apple weren’t completely open. I’m one of those cases who got an iPad and Samsung galaxy phone so it became a little headache. there is not Samsung wearables app for Apple. Still I’m super happy with my buds got them in black to get lost when I put them in bed for a little while sometimes 😂😂 My huawei earbuds were white and huge mistake. Now I’m so happy I got these black ones. Everything for me it’s perfect except the transition between Apple and Samsung devices but it’s not the end of the world.

Finally optional ear wings. My ears cant hold earbuds without stems for a long time unless they have an airpods/airpods pro like design. To date though my most favourite wing design is the one on the beats fit pro but any kind of wings for me are welcome on stemless earbuds.

I used the Galaxy buds plus and i loved it mainly for the fit and the battery. Using other stuff now makes me realize how bad the battery life is.

No wireless charging?! Ooo, that's a big downer for me. There's nothing like coming in from a long day and slapping your Buds case down on a wireless charger while your phone goes on USB-C. Thanks for mentioning that. I wonder if these Buds FE could fit into a Galaxy Buds case that does have wireless charging, and then I could just use that. I still have the very first Galaxy Buds in black and still use them to this day. I haven't changed to any other Galaxy Buds because, as you said, the design is so damn good. Nor did I upgrade to the Buds+ because that's just not necessary. Plus I prefer the matte finish of the original Buds.

I still use my 2 pairs of buds+ I use them every day. I'm very happy about these fe ones because even though I replaced the batteries I can't get a full 8 hours when new I could get over 10. I could not care less about the ANC as I have buds pro 2 and wf1000xm4. I sleep with th buds+ so over 8 hours is the most important thing. The original buds pro suckes ass fit wise and they just sat on my shelf. Even the buds pro 2 aren't great buds are usable. No wireless charging is a bummer though.

I was super excited when I first heard about these but now knowing they won't have wireless charging is a huge bummer. I use wireless charging pads quite frequently to charge my current pair of buds plus (3/4th pair now), phone and watch all in one place. Battery life on the plus' has held up well so that shouldn't be too much of an issue and I can definitely see how that decision was made to make the higher end buds more appealing. Still really unfortunate the the buds plus had wireless charging back in 2019 and these don't. Perhapds there'll be a new market for adapters of some kind maybe integrated into a case?

Same. Was really looking forward to the wingtips along with ANC but I'm in the habit of throwing the case on a wireless charger and this is a deal breaker.

I have an S23 ultra and I stopped using wireless charging. The wireless chargers were not reliable, took too long to charge. I would set my phone on the wireless charger and my phone wouldn't be charged the next morning. So I stopped doing wireless charging all together. So that part doesn't bother me at all

@jasongage Is that an issue with the 23 ultra? I have a watch 4 and Note 20 Ultra that I have set on a Samsung Duo pad every night around 9 until I wake up at 5 for a little over 2 years now. I've never had an issue happen with wireless charging

@@dakotawallace1156 it's probably not an issue with the s23 ultra as it was the wireless charging pads. This phone charges so fast anyway, and my charge last the whole day so I don't mind plugging it in. I actually prefer it

I got a free set of galaxy buds plus with my galaxy s20 FE, and they are still going strong nearly 3 years later! So if anything happens to them, I will probably get these!

Aleays had the original buds not even the buds+ and i loved them, got the buds pro and they hurt mt ears and fell out so i sold them and continued to use my original buds, then got the buds2 and thought finally i can upgrade... But nope they sucked, they fall out and not enough bass so o returned to my trusty original buds, after seeing these im totally giving them a try! Have a feeling these are exactly what ive been needing.

I wish for nothing more then for samsung to someday make a stemstyle earbuds like iphone has , stemstyle are so much easier take out and put back in and much easier to get in the right position , wish there was a top of the line stemstyle earbuds that was as good as iPods and sony xw5

Imma justify the 2 "major" drawbacks: 1. No wireless charging - personally I've never been a fan of wireless charging even for phones because it's slow as hell and is conducting more heat than normal charging, and it overall looks weird if you charge your earbuds on top of your phone, what for? To produce more hear for your phone and not be able to use it because you're charging the case of your earbuds? 2. IPX2 water resistance rating - seriously who even walks under the rain with earbuds on? I personally haven't seen one, also, sweat is rarely produced around the ear and if there is, it's minimal, and it's not even close as to being splashed with water. I'm getting this buds for Christmas ❤️ love it Samsung, thanks for considering us budget conscious consumers.

I had the original Galaxy buds and I loved the form factor. I wish these had wireless charging. I currently have the buds 2 pro and I am not that happy with the fit.

Love my buds+. Theres literally nothing worth upgrading to. They have better batter life than all the new models and honestly sound better. So good I bought another pair bnib off classifieds.
