Remember, just because you don't enjoy my favorite movies that doesn’t mean you have the right to attack my character or my video :) I'm simply sharing my favorite films, and there's no reason to leave hate on a video like that. The movie community can be rough and rude sometimes, especially to women because we have different tastes. Please, be kind in the comments. Thanks ! 💕
Great selections, quite a few of these are also in my top 100. I will check out Clue as "Cluedo" (as it's called in South Africa) is one of my favorite board-games.

I love your movie taste!! watched and loved all of these, I loved shutter island its got one of my favourite movie quotes which is "Which would be worse - to live as a monster? Or to die as a good man? " that line on the steps really gets to me and its just feels so impactactful in the movie and Teddy. Also love Inception with the scene near the end with Fisher and his dad in the dream landscape. One of my favourite actors is Cillian Murphy and he just makes me cry buckets. I love reading movie essays about the ending, but when I actually watch, I just act like its all real, because I want him to be happy and I want fisher to know he is important.

I love that someone so young appreciates the classics!!!! Casablanca is one of the best movies ever filmed. It’s just beautiful. Casablanca and Singin in the Rain are 2 of the greatest films I have ever seen. Excellent choices! YES!!! Another Clue fan!!!! Clue is one of the greatest movies of all time and in my eyes Tim Curry's best film.
Oh my goodness I absolutely LOVE this video! Its so great to see a fellow booktuber talk about films and hearing you talking about everything was so lovely! I have the same feelings for Inception and Shutter Island!! Ex Machina is one of my all time favorite movies too because it blew my minddddd and it was just filmed so beautifully! I took a film class in college and I learned the techniques directors use to create a sci-fi setting. I have a good understanding of your taste in films and I adore how much you love movies that make you THINK! Those are the ones that keep you wondering and staying on the edge ^_^ Roman Holiday seems like such a fun movie and I recommend picking up Before Sunrise since its a similar tone! &I would like to recommend for you to watch Baby Driver if you haven't already cause that is a movie I love very very much. Also, Arrival with Amy Adams is phenomenal Sci-Fi movie that I think you'd like! Lovely video :,)
oooo I have to look up Before Sunrise then! We have a similar movie taste! I love finding someone who loves the same kinds of movies as I do because then we can bounce recommendations back and forth to one another
honestly i love that you have such a wide variety of different types of movies on your favorites list. there's old classics and superhero movies and cutesy romcoms and animation and the grinch!!
Did you know that Lehane also adapted Shutter Island to graphic novel which came out in 2009, a the year before Scorsese's film was released. *My All-Time Favorites:* Wonder Woman (Patty Jenkins, 2017) The Life of Oharu (Kenji Mizoguchi, 1952) The Passion of Joan of Arc (Carl Dreyer, 1928) Persona (Ingmar Bergman, 1966) Three Colours: Blue (Krzysztof Kieślowski, 1993) Koyaanisqatsi (Godfrey Reggio, 1982) Spirited Away (Hayao Miyazaki, 2001) City Lights (Charles Chaplin, 1931) Late Spring (Yasujirō Ozu, 1949) Ugetsu Monogatari (Kenji Mizoguchi, 1953) The Circus (Charles Chaplin, 1928) Dawn of Justice (Zack Snyder, 2016) Modern Times (Charles Chaplin, 1936) Holubice (František Vláčil, 1960)
The reason I can't get behind any of the modern adaptations of Dr. Seuss books is because Theodor Geisel himself said he didn't want any made after he died, but his widow continues to license the characters out to make toys and films out of, which goes against his wish for his stories to not become fetishized commodities.
I've seen 9 movies from your list! Yay! I love Inglourious Basterds, too! I was actually waiting for La La Land.. 😊 Well, there's just a lot of great movies. You should see No Country for Old Men!
@@Kittikee10 the movie follows the Greek hero and gods and takes place in ancient Greece. The fact that it's not called Heracles in the English version ain't my fault
My top ten favorite movies in alphabetical order are: Braveheart Bringing Up Baby Dolores Claiborne Forrest Gump Innerspace Magnolia Maltese Falcon Psycho Purple Rose of Cairo Singin in the Rain
this was so interesting to watch, since I've barely seen any of these movies and I feel like a got a lot of recommendations, and it's really fun watching people talk about what they love :)
My Top 20 Best/Dream/Forever Favorite Movies of All-Time 1. Kung Fu Panda 2. Kung Fu Panda 3 3. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 4. Sonic the Hedgehog 5. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1990 Movie 6. Shrek 7. My favorite movie of all time is Children of Heaven (Iranian Movie /1997), just amazing! A movie about pure and innocent love. A movie that puts smile on my face. A movie that grabs my deepest and most sincere emotions and brings them out to the surface. It makes me feel like purified. One of the best moments of my life as i can say without doubt.
Such a great video Liv! 💕About Inception, I saw once that there is also a ring theory?? Like when he has his ring he is in reality, or vice versa... Anyway, look it up if you want, you can probably find it somewhere but for what I remember it made sense and blew my mind! ☺️
YES that’s my FAVORITE theory since the top is his wife’s totem, from what I remember, and the ring is actually his totem

Casablanca is that movie I know I need to watch but keep forgetting about until someone else mentions it. And I know that Nightmare Before Christmas gets love but it's not even nearly enough for how good it is tbh.
YES I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS! 🧡OMG YES I ADORE CHRISTOPHER NOALN MOVIES! Inception and Dark Night are my two favourite movies ever! The Dark Night really made me love Batman. It's so true - without Heath Ledger, we wouldn't have The Dark Night!
Omg I watched dirty dancing at least 20 times my best friend and I were so obsessed with it that we watched it every time we had a chance Also my favourite disney movie is mulan I watched that almost every day with my brother when we were young
Absolutely watch moving mind fuck movies that need multiple watches. Some of my favs are inception, shutter island, se7en, inglorious basterds and also looove Roman holiday 💕💕I enjoy Tarantino’s movies a lot but in my opinion it’s his best.
So I just watched Shutter Island and I love it. My mom doesn't want to watch it again, because she's already seen it, which is ridiculous. It has become a thing in my family and every time I suggest we watch Shutter Island again my mom bursts out laughing. (But I will convince her to watch it again!)
this list is helll yeah. my film professor last year AND my ta talked about how much they hate inception and how overrated it is and it took everything in me to not start yelling.
I've seen all of these films except To All The Boys I've Loved Before! You have a good mix of different films! Some of my favorite films are Plein Soleil (Purple Noon) (my favorite film), The Graduate, Harold & Maude, Belle De Jour, The Royal Tenenbaums (now I sound like a typical film fan), Masculin Feminin, Zodiac, Persona, Picnic At Hanging Rock, any David Lynch film pretty much, and I could go on, but that's an even 10 so I'll stop there. Casablanca is one of the reasons I got into film. I WISH there was a cinema or film class I could have taken at my high school! My English teacher one year had a cardboard cutout of Rick Blaine in his classroom and one day someone finally asked who it was and once my teacher realized we didn't know Humphrey Bogart or Casablanca he told us we had to watch it and we would have a quiz on it. I went to Blockbuster after school, rented it and watched it. We never did have that quiz. But it's not like I wasn't going to watch a movie if that's what a teacher assigns. That's the best assignment! I saw an interview with Michael Cane and he said that Christopher Nolan told him it's reality if his character is in the scene. I don't remember the ending exactly but according to Michael Cane, if he's in the scene it's not a dream. I actually have an unpopular opinion on Leonardo DiCaprio. I think he's overrated. I find a lot of his characters to be similar and I'm constantly mixing up scenes from Inception and Shutter Island. He's an actor, though, that I knew his name before I had seen any of his films, so I'm too aware that it's him. It's hard for me to see the characters instead of Leonardo DiCaprio playing a character. I've seen all but 4 Audrey Hepburn films and Roman Holiday was my favorite for a long time. I watched it all the time. I remember when I babysat in high school and I'd bring some films from home to watch after the kids went to bed, I tried to make sure they were still kid-friendly, and I grabbed Roman Holiday 90% of the time.
ooo i like what you said about Leo! I always see his characters as Leonardo's, so I'm like, "Oh, Leo is going to Shutter Island in this movie," but I kind of don't mind it because I just love his expressions and his voice soothes me in a way I can't describe
lolol the mask V wears is based on Guy Fawkes but it's actually a graphic novel set in a dystopian England where V tries to expose the corruption in the totalitarian government and gain back the freedom from those in society
