Ok, I get choked up talking about thinning hair. I’ve always had such thick hair, curly hair, age, hormones, menopause has caused my hair and it scares me. I am currently trying some new products to see if they help - it seems some help for a while and then suddenly they stop working ?? If these work then I will share . We are blessed living in the cities we live in NYC & Los Angeles- I think we have more options - but nonetheless, it’s a scary thing to go through - as I hear your voice seem to choke back when you talk about this- it always chokes back some tears- thanks for sharing ! I will definitely look into these 💝have a wonderful weekend - thanks for all the hard work you put into these videos💝
I eat one to two brazil nuts every day for the selenium, which helps with collagen production. I find it helps. I haven’t owned a blow dryer in decades or any appliances that cause wear and tear on ny hair. I am careful with hair items that pull on my hair such as elastics or clips. I also go a few days between washes. I always had oily hair but as I’ve aged I no longer have that problem. Good luck on your journey and keep us all posted!!
100% agree with all that! Good for you for figuring out the heat is our hair's enemy! Only those with very thick textured hair can handle the heat devices. The rest of us must avoid at all costs.
I dont have fine and thin hair, but thank you so much for creating this video to help others. Social media is flooded with thick, beautiful hair, and it makes a lot of people feel insecure. As someone with a thicker hair texture, some of your recommendations will also work for me. Thank you ❤.
Taylor I have very very fine textured hair like you and it took me YEARS to figure out that heat of any kind was making it hard for me to grow my hair. My hair, like yours, is also very wavy and that makes your hair even more fragile because of how the hair grows out of the shaft, making it even more prone to breakage. Even after 3 kids and having no time to curl and blow dry, I continued these things until one day it occurred to me (in my 40s) that my hair actually looked GOOD when I left it alone. I wash my hair at night and let it air dry and the next day I spray with a continuous fine mist of water to rehydrate and then apply a cream for curly hair (Iles formula, Loreal Curl Expression, etc), scrunch it up and I'm on my way. I have been able to grow my hair to a very long length and very healthy. I also limit my highlights to once every 6 months with touch ups on my gray areas with a demi-permanent (Redken Shades EQ) color that I apply myself just in the small areas I need them. Complete game changer. No heat whatsoever and my hair actually looks better than when I did all that stuff to it, blow outs, curling, etc. I decided going with what I have naturally is easier, cheaper and I'm not fighting against what my hair wants to do. ❤❤❤
omg thank you so much for making this video!!! My hair has always been very fine and after being diagnosed with a hormonal disorder, my hair got very thin as well. I've been trying to figure out what can work with my hair, it's so frustrating! Thanks for taking the time to list your recommendations, I really trust your opinion! Yay!
Thank you for posting this! It’s comforting to know others have this problem. I often feel like it’s just me!! Some of the products I love: Kitsch rice protein shampoo and conditioner bars (rice protein is supposed to be great for hair growth and these leave my hair feeling clean and conditioned but not weighed down) I also like the kerastase blond absolu shampoo I always use a mask on my hair. Although it seems counter productive, I think it’s really important to keep fine fragile hair hydrated - especially if it’s coloured. My favourite masks are Davines Oi hair butter and Christoph Robin prickly pear mask For bond builder I really like the Goldwell pro bond minute mask - again leaves hair feeling great and not weighed down. I sometimes use Ouai leave in conditioner but also really like the Aveda cherry blossom leave in conditioner. It actually adds a bit of volume. It feels strange at first - like you have too much product in your hair but this goes away once hair is dry. For styling/heat protection my favourites are the colour wow blow dry doray or the kerastase l’incroyable blow dry cream. I’ve also hair good results from the Champoo scalp serum (available at Harrods) and can see baby hairs growing on my scalp and areas where my hair has receded. I know you’ve probably done this, but have you had blood tests? You could be lacking something or have hormone or thyroid issues. I take a multi vitamin, B12, biotin and collagen. Also, I hear recently that it’s so important to eat a high protein breakfast, as protein consumed later in the day tends to get used for muscle growth as your moving/exercising so it’s really important to get protein first thing so your hair can benefit. I’ve never been a breakfast eater and am vegan so getting enough protein - especially first thing is something I just don’t do, and I’ll be making some changes to see if it helps!! Good luck 🙂 x
You are so beautiful taylor ❤ i hope you know that. I too have very thin hair although its getting better. My issue is that most hair products break me out which makes it hard to care for it. I do my best.
There is a new line called Seen developed specifically for this issue by a derm. I tried sample packs and it left my fine hair feeling and looking really nice! I prefer a bit of scent but not the fake fragrance so I use Innersense. I don’t have a problem with breakouts.
You are a gorgeous girl and I like your style and personality! Honestly I have an impression that your hair became thinner after you got an extensions. I don’t know maybe I’m wrong. Have you ever considered to try scalp mesotherapy for new hair growth? The stress that hair follicles get makes them stronger and awake the old one. Anyway love your channel and rooting for for you 😊
@@elenakoss189 it totally did get thinner after! Before I got extensions if you ever saw my hair down I had clip in extensions though, so it was only a little bit thicker but not much. I haven’t heard of that scalp therapy! Does it work?
@@TaylorMorello it’s basically micro needles puncture your scalp but it does not hurt! The special serums and meso cocktails are applied so when the micro needle puncture your skin it brings all the ingredients to the root which makes it very effective. Usually this type of treatments are done at Beaty clinics that are doing Botox and lip fillers. I’m sure further research and consultation at trichologist can help you more🌷
I have fine thin hair and appreciate you sharing your fave products. You don’t add volumizing products? I like Living Proof after shampoo volumizer and Puff texturizer(pink can). You have such a pretty face, you look lovely with your hair back. So enjoyed your wedding video series!
You are so pretty and you look so nice with your hair pulled back. You can always put the hairpiece like you used in your wedding for a special night. Better to have a pretty face and not much hair than the other way around.💖
Very good video and helpful. As you get older for some it does get thinner. Thankful extensions were invented and once in awhile a great wig for a different hairstyle. Also a great selection of hats in the winter, I'm a hat lady!
Hi, I have the same problem, but I am 46 years old and my hair is wavy, so I think it is easier to conceal my lack of hair. Regarding the K18, I think it is supposed to apply 6 or 8 times continuously when you are beginning to use it . The products that have worked for me are: Kundal scalp tonic (Korean skin care), Aromatica Rosemary shampoo and conditioner (Korean skin care), Vichy anti hair loss shampoo (derma French skincare) and a good mousse to hair volume to style like Ref ones. Good luck!
I bought act+acre serum and their scalp exfoliant both great for my oily thin hair 🙂I actually started wearing my hair down as it looks much healthier now and has more volume. Thank you for recommendation
Thank you so much for making content for us thin haired girls! I personally like the amika intense moisture leave in since my hair is extremely dry, curly and thin.
I have very thin and fine hair too. So happy I found your channel and this video in particular. A big thank you to you for sharing what products you like to use. For shampoos I like Oribe Hair Alchemy Resilience Shampoo , Kerastase Resistance Shampoo and Herbal Glo Advanced Thinning Hair Shampoo. I really love the Guerlain Abeille Royale Scalp and Hair Youth Oil in Serum. Sadly it's super expensive but it's the best hair oil I've tried so far on my thin and fine hair. ❤
I've been using the Iles Formula ever since you told us about it. I love it. They also have it in a small travel size and there's another Iles product I love, love, love, the 'Finishing Serum'❤
R and Co hair products are really good as well. I have fine hair and have noticed improvement using the Dallas shampoo and conditioner. Also the R and Co Bleu line has some great serums and leave in treatments. All clean and cruelty free. 😊
Thank you for sharing 🤗 I also struggle with with fine thin hair. I found volum shampoo and balsam that works for my hairtype and hydrationmask once a week. Leave-inn conditioner and Olaplex oil on the ends and that has been a gamechanger for me. My hair is not thicker but it does not break easily any more.
Thank you for your video. My toddler has the fine/thin combo. I have fine hair but a lot of it. So far care seems to be the same but styling is very different, I need to research!
Aww same girl!! I’m sooo glad to know you did see a dr..hopefully a derm too? I’m sure there must be something? Usually ( i heard from a dr) it’s a two prong approach! 😅I’m having issues as well.. I was always fine hair but lots of it! Now it’s just fine ha! I lean more towards listening to the dr..but that’s because the alllll the serums etc seem like money grab! Sadly i will probably need a hormone of some sort? But im too scared to start that…yet 😅 I HAVE started taking Forrest leaf collagen and hyaluronic acid supplements! And ive noticed a difference. I dont do biotin supplements as it can mess with medical tests that I have to have done. What a journey and I know it’s a sensitive topic for you Taylor! But we are with you on this!! 💕
I wish I could give you some of mine.... have you ever tried on a pixie cut wig to see how you would look in short hair ? ❤ I think I asked you before, have you tried Divi ?
Have you tried dry shampoo so you don't have to wash every day? I love the one from bumble and bumble. I am able to stretch my hair washing a little bit. Also, before I had kids, my hair was also super greasy. After the kids, I can easily go 4 days between washings.
I have the opposite hair to yours, mine is thick and wavy/curly and most of the time I can't do a thing with it! I think it is rare that you will find a woman who is happy with the hair she has. It's always been my biggest problem. 😥
Act and Acre is solid although their shampoo and conditioner didn’t work for me. I’m using the Divi serum now and will rotate back and forth. The Divi shampoo and conditioner is amazing after yard work because it’s so cooling lol. It leaves my hair nice. I have been using Innersense since 2018 religiously and if you haven’t tried their Detox mask it is amazing!!! Dry shampoo is my best friend but never the aerosols. I can’t do anything with synthetic fragrance with the exception of Paul Mitchell original products. Super Clean line hair sprays are 👌We have the exact same hair. I’ve been making and wearing extensions for a decade. I’ll probably wear them for life lol.
I dont use Kerastase for my fine hair, it does not work for me. I like Tigi. I buy it for my colour hair. I also wash my hair once every other day and not every day so that it does not tire it off
My mom had curly thin hair. My sister has curly thickish hair and I have thick straight hair. Due to chemo I was bald which finally growing back. It’s short curly hair which I love. I hope it will stay curly. It’s thick and curly. I have always been lazy in the care of my hair. My husband complains that I need to wash my hair more often. He washes his every day and has a drawer full of hair products. He even sprays his hair. I feel for you when you explain all that you go through in caring for your hair. We are not all perfect -just make the best of what we have. I love your classic look with porcelain skin and blue eyes. And with your hair pulled back. So gorgeous. ❤❤❤❤
hi i follow dr sheeren idriss and she says the only proven product to help out with hair growth etc is rogain . maybe watch her videos about the subject :)
Hey Taylor! Love your vids 😊. I actually work in influencer marketing for the new haircare brand, The Rootist at Sephora and we have a new line coming out next week for fine/thin hair. Would love to add you to our gifting list and get you some product 💫.
Nice presentation, Taylor, thank you!. I just want to mention though that Olaplex Bond No. 5 conditioner is not a protein based conditioner and can be used every day just like Olaplex shampoo. Olaplex No. 3 is the product that should only be used 2-3 times a week, especially for those with compromised hair..
I don't know what a doctor might say but it always amazes me how many products some people use on their hair from dry shampoos to masks and oils and hair treatments. It seems like a more simplified approach would make for healthier hair and scalp.
Any heat, Dyson or anything is damaging for the hair. There's no miracle product that will protect your hair from the heat but using one of the protectants is better than using nothing at all, of course. The best is avoiding the heat altogether .😂🔥
