The eyelets on my Toadfish rod rusted out very quickly, which was quite disappointing given I really liked the rod. Also the eyelet at the tip of the rod is very small which even causes issues w a FG leader knot.
That's too bad man, my eyelets are still doing well on all of my rods. And the top one is definitely small but my double-uni knot goes through just fine for me. Sorry it didn't work out for you though
I'm thinking about buying the toadfish travel rods, the 4 in 1 set or whatever. I've seen some people say that the guides are very small on these rods, does a uni to uni fit through them okay, and what about bobber stoppers?
I actually don't have the travel set but the guides are on the smaller side. My double uni goes through just fine as do store bought bobber stops. When I've tied my own using single uni knots they occasionally get stuck but they are pretty big it's hard to trim the tag ends down enough. Hope that helps!
Where can I physically go to check out rods made by Toad Fish? Have considered replacing a few old Terra Mar's but don't want to go thru the hassle of online ordering just to realize I don't like it.
