LOL ... no mate - you did the video because they paid you to do it. If you wanted to do the video because you used it and liked it - you already would have done the video. The more I watch you the more I realize you are full of it. =(
FINALLY!!! I've run through and tried so many templates, trying to make them work for me, as a sophomore taking IT Certs simultaneously. This is perfect for both! With very minor tweaks, I'll be able to use this as an all in one dash for both my Certs and Degree classes. Thank you, Chuck!
I respect your coffee intake. If I take more than 2cups per day then I'm getting ready for chest pain and headaches. Not only that. I love to watch your vids. They give hope
Many thanks, Chuck! 👏 I have been studying for the CompTIA Security+, on and off, for around a year, and the biggest wake up call from your video was the schedule the exam. My boss is back in January, so I'll ask for a day in early March to take this exam from home. Thanks for the Notion template, as well. I have a lot of web dev experience, so if I think of any "bells and whistles" to add to the template, I'll let you know. 😃
I'm a huge photography nerd, I'm a coffee fanatic (barista for 5 years), and I'm getting into Cyber Security with the Air Force so just found your channel. So I'm always getting major Peter McKinnon vibes with this channel with all the coffee. Absolutely LOVE it. I feel right at home here! Just had to say, your channel is incredible.
Thank yooooooou !! lots of love NetworkChuck you make learning feel easier, possible even. I can't tell you the number of times I have come across your community and content in Discord and RU-vid and I just want to learn right now! 😄
Tools like these are pretty nice; but often feel a bit overwhelming for basic notes. Feels like Microsoft OneNote where it can do all kinds of stuff but you end up spending more time building forms and databases and trying to organize it all to be presentable/readable/usable. Maybe I'm just old but I prefer to keep it pretty simple with Apple Notes or an old-school basic Word doc. Cool stuff though I could see it helping a lot of people.
I am looking for a way to organize my study habbit in IT. I have just started, but I have never had any organizing technique before. I have been hearing about notion for some times now. Today is the day I am switching to notion. I have tried it several times before but hated it because I was too lazy to watch tutorials and tried to just jump in and I got confused. I’m glad I found an example of someone using Notion that related IT stuff so the example wouldn’t be to far fetch for me to follow. By the way, your IT studying template looks promising. I love since seeing it on video. I definitely going to use it. “-“
Hey guys recently I switched from notion to gitbook. I like the markdown manner & easy to export like an book so help for us. Even most people prepare for oscp use gitbook with flameshot ( screen capture tool).
Chuck, I appreciate your videos! I started with the idea of becoming a network engineer and looked for reasons to be motivated. I came across your videos and they have helped me so much and allowed me to be interested in so many topics relating to computers. Thank you and keep up the work for us out here learning👌🏽
Hiiii Chuck! I'm Very Young And You Have Supported Me So Much And Motivated Me And Now I'm Learning CCNA And More From You! Thank You So Much!! Love From Dubai!! Also No Views And 18 Likes! ❤️🇦🇪❤️
Hey thank you so much for this tool. Currently studying for A+ certification and this tool is dope. Currently using your template, but I added my own database to correlate the exam objectives to the specific chapter of the book I'm studying which is Mike Meyers's book. He has an appendix in the back which charts the exam objectives and correlates them to the specific chapter he goes over it in his book. That way, when I go to the database I made for each chapter and say "oh I'm studying chapter 3 today", I can see which exam objectives are covered in that specific chapter and for which exam (220-1001 or 220-1002), and I'll still be able to keep track of my overall progress for both exams (which I put in my domains tab). Taking a bit of time to set this up but I love it. And there's plenty of space to take notes on any of the pages or pages in the pages. Thank you so so much for introducing this to me.
Really good content.. But Can you please tell me about the " privacy aspect " how notion handles it.. Since you're putting most of your life on there.. I am very new to this and Thanks in advanced.. ❤
Amazing video as always! I love notion and it’s crazy all you can do with it I still have so much to learn. Have no clue how you got the weather on your dashboard but that is awesome
You just did EVERYTHING I ever wanted to do on Notion but just never took the time to actually organize, instead, I kept jumping from template to template until I settled with an Excel Spreadsheet. Old School. But now I find this. Going back to Notion right now! Thanks a million man, this is freaking awesome and has got everything one needs to thrive in their studies/exams
I’ve been using Cherry Tree pretty religiously because it’s one of the best hierarchical note taking programs. After seeing Notion I think it’s definitely worth a try, it could possibly be a replacement:
NO wait up, notion is going to give u hard time if you're from cherry tree like me. for hierarchy based note taking check out obsidian, Its amazing! for pentest note taking, to studies, u can do anything with it. trust me mate try it out it has cool features also
This video is so fire!! I used OneNote to organize and track my progress for preparing for MS-900. I started strong, spent a whole lot of time typing out the exam topics but I eventually just stopped tracking because it was just so much overhead to stay on top of. This looks awesome though. Looks more intuitive and has some very powerful features. I just started studying for the CCNA and Ill be trying out Notion for the first time. Thanks for putting me on Chuck.
Hi @NetworkChuck, thank you for the structure that you explained there. I took some good ideas from it, and I am converting the ideas to Joplin + my calendar due me not using Notion. Notion has some points in their privacy policy that I don't agree with.
Oh gosh, notion please fix performance of your app, this product placement in every youtubers blog is kind a annoying, same timeline, arguments etc. PS thanks for your content dude, love your tutorials on linux, networks 👍🙏
Helo ! I'm from Brazil and I love your videos, I don't speak English very well, in fact I speak very little and understand very little, but I can learn a lot from your content. Thanks for this !!
now i know how you are able to learn so much thing simultaneously , you put in work before even start preparing for exam so cool man , just became your fan
One of my Favorite quotes for something like this is “If I only had an hour to chop down a tree, I would spend the first 45 minutes sharpening my axe.” - Abraham Lincoln.
Always new stuff but it is not relitive till you get to the point for some people it will be unrelitive untill then any learning new stuff is like how much i DONT CARE ABOUT the new windows wether it be the HIGH RESolution or what ever ya i can agree i dont like the new windows them best one i liked was i think be more like windows 98 but ya i dont know how to explain it all in the LONG! run. well i can think of one but not same objective like if a person realy needs to finish like high school or lame university #For posibility to get a job! #UNIVERCITY! And NO I AM NOT MUCH ONE TO TYPE BECAUSE my butter fingers putting in uneeded letters some times BUT YA!
Hey chuck , you use the tool which are already made like Osintgram or sherlock , what we are doing is just running python files , it's ok but you should made the videos in which you should taught us to write our own script , ya there are many videos on RU-vid for these but your teaching skill is much better than them , so try to make videos in which you write your own script , it would be helpful for us .
Chuck, thanks for the tutorial, I’ve been looking at Notion for awhile, thanks for the step by step. I create SOP Docs for my Company and i must say you did a great job young man. Notion is so powerful that it can be overwhelming but your enthusiasm has helped me gain courage to go after it and have fun doing it. Thanks again and take care of your lovely family. God Bless You and your Family and Happy Easter!
In my linux terminal (not kali) version 2.6, code- natty, . When i try to download packages like git python jdk it is showing*E: unable to locate package.* If anybody knows how to solve this please say.... I cant use my terminal.. 😣😥
You don’t have to buy another laptop. You can just download virtualbox or VMware. After that download the operating system that you need in ISO format, whether it’s Kali Linux, Ubuntu, Red Hat Server, or even Windows 10. That’s all you need, virtualbox or VMware and an ISO.
Yo man just wanted to let you know I'm going about 5 months strong on learning it/hacking. Got signed up to take my A+ certification in a couple weeks. You inspired me to do all this man. I just stumbled on one of your videos 5 months ago and I've been studying ever since. Thanks man for real.
This is really awesome! NetworkChuck is currently my favorite RU-vidr. P.S. If your classes have videos, you can even link the video URL or the documents that may be stored in a cloud provider such as Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox. They will preview in place and you can simply click them to open then up.
Hey Network Chuck, has notion said anything to you regarding their outages? It’s so hard using the system for the most important things since when the service is out i have no access.... :*( makes me scared to really devote my time to the app
I've been using Trello for tracking my exam topics but it's pretty lacking when it comes to taking notes. I'll definitely try this out and I really appreciate the template!
@@BelowAverageRazzleDazzle I agree! Atlassian products really are nice, and confluence is definitely better for making nice looking pages (I really love it for kb purposes). But, honestly as a study tool I think Notion is more focused and personally I really like it for studying certs. The template NetworkChuck made is pretty nice and it helps me stay accountable for my goals.
Chuck, just wanted to comment and say, thank you! You have been a breath of fresh air on my IT self-taught path. This template is absolutely amazing! Much love!
Sir, pls make a video on the problem of the black screen of the death of windows10. How to fix it permanently?? pls sir it is very important for me pls sir ......
Would love to set up Notion to track my Tasks at work. Right now, I use Microsoft OneNote, which works ok, but I would love to use Notion for linked databases. If anyone has a template for work, especially related to SAP ABAP, do share
Got a question...can I get a laptop with 8 GB of ram or even 12.. 500 SSD and a dedicated graphics card, but do video editing in an external hard drive. And later on use it for Python. And I see you say I'll need to study Python, Linux and CCNA at the same time. I've got to look at that video. I think I'll need notion to keep all of this knowledge lol...thanks Chuck...
I accidentally uninstalled Microsoft office and all my resumes and families resume and important documents cannot be accessed. Please, PLEASE help me undo it. I'm begging you, or anyone to help me fix this HUGE mistake. I'm sorry to ask like this but I really am out of luck and I know you are extremely knowledgeable about these kinds of things. I will be eternally grateful to you.
Nah! It is not that nerdy. Emacs (orgmode, org-roam, zetteldeft, notdeft, et.al.) is way better and the real nerdy tool. You spend too much time pointing-and-clicking with this notion thing... Go, grab doom-Emacs, for example, and conquer the world...
Hey N/W chuck I've CCNA R&S, CCIE Enterprise infrastructure and an engineering degree I've about 18 months of experience as a n/w support engineer and 2 years of experience as a freelance software developer but it doesn't pay very much here in India. How do I get a job there in the US ??
