clearing some things up: i made this video for fellow nandor + guillermo shipers and so you can have scenes of them for edits, i don't want any homophobic or negative comments about the ship bc i don't need that negativity rn. hateful comments will be deleted for mine and others sake (︶^︶)
I don't really get shipping - most of the time I think they don't make sense or would ruin the narrative, BUT this is honestly one of the most realistic ships ever and there's a lot of interesting story potential. I think people are crazy if they absolutely deny that this ship is possible.
@@user-ih4fd9sf8x An isn’t just singular. Since there are many accents in the USA, it’s perfectly correct to refer to one of those accents as ‘an American’ accent
@@user-ih4fd9sf8x Energy of someone who says "Americans don't have a culture" because you don't realize we've replaced your culture with our own through all the media we export and you consume.
So when nador had all that glitter all over himself could we assume that it being for the baron was an excuse for the glitter portrait that he was making??
What about at the start of episode 8 season 3 when Guillermo is decorating Nandors room and says “his favourite- creepy paper” i think its such a cute reference to the first creepy paper scene
@@maxfitz8577 According to an interview at the ComicCon panel, all the duplicate Nandor voices were Kayvan. He's a voice actor, so he knows how to mimic.
season 1 hinted that the power dynamic was slowly changing and even though he only recently found out he was a "vampire hunter" he's definitely had the power inside gim for longer
I want something more to happen between them because it feels like there is a lot between them, but also I have no idea how they would do it without sacrificing comedy. like sincere emotional moments are great but they're few and far between in this show, any kind of sincere love declaration would stick out tonally. they'd need to be clever to make it not seem like a departure from the spirit of the show. also I'm conflicted on whether Guillermo should become a vampire. I feel like in terms of character growth the most obvious path is for him to learn he doesn't need/want to be one after all. on the other hand he's worked so hard at this lmao
the scene where laszlo tells everyone why he actually doesn't want to go back to england was very sweet and heartfelt though and it didn't feel out of place at all to me so i'm not too worried
Tbh though, have faith because Taika just proved that a show can be funny and have romantic and somewhat serious tone to it as well. I understand that this show is a lot different from Our Flag Means Death, but he also knows what he's doing and how to kind of change things up while still keeping a show interesting and good for its' original viewers.
@@beebear44 oh yeah taika is a genius. having watched both of those shows recently, i can confirm they're incredible, and if wwdits takes a similar approach to tenderness as ofmd then i know it won't feel out of place at all. wwdits has done a great job so far at working the gentle moments into the comedy, so i'm optimistic ^^
i just realized that when guillermo went to rescue nandor, nandor didn't do a damn thing to stop him from beating every vampire in there to get him out. uh, sir??? why can't you just communicate what you want with this man???? 👀 please season 4 put us out of our misery.
"Does not an anniversary deserve a reward, recognising your years of service?" "I'm ready master." "It's a glitter portrait. It's a portrait made from glitter."
Guillermo deserves so much more. The vampire 80s cult was the weirdest episode and sooooo sad. Like she's killing so many vampires on a regular basis and no one does anything about it. 😭
I hope they don't get together cos I find strong platonic relationships much more interesting and meaningful in fiction than romantic ones, BUT that's just me.
they definitely need to grow some more and really understand each other but i think two poc men would be great representation for queer people everywhere
Eh, actor is saying he's playing it romantic, though. Romantic is romantic, and to me it's very clearly that way. Also, go comment that on a straight video too- just to even it out ;P
We do have great platonic relationships in this show too, between Laszlo and Colin, Laszlo with Saun or Nadja and Nandor. And Guillermo with the other members of the house. Nandor and Guillermo could become a couple and still have those nice platonic connections with other characters, too!
Waaay back in s01 I had a suspicion that Nandor didn't wanna turn Guillermo bc he sees vampirism as a curse and wants to protect Guillermo. And after s02 & s03 I'm thinking he's afraid that Guillermo will leave him once he's a vampire. Typing that out made me re-sad. ; A ;
And Guillermo says "why do you think I've been living with you this whole time?" right before Nandor tells him he won't turn him, now he has all the more reason to believe he would leave. The whole turning Gail into a vampire thing shows he's okay with turning people, so they can be together. But Gail also left. The poor man has just been abandoned way too many times 😭
Nandor also keeps casually calling Guillermo ‘sweet’, ‘boyish’ and ‘little rascal’, wich sort of indicates that he thinks of Guillermo as someone pure and innocent, who would never do anything truly evil. It also shows that he’s clearly extremely fond of Guillermo. So at first he probably didin’t want to turn him because he didin’t want him to become corrupted (and maybe also because he thought Guillermo would be an awful Vampire), sort of like you secretly wish for a puppy never to grow out of it’s adorable playful phase. But it shifted into Guillermo also becoming a genuine source of Joy for Nandor and he didin’t want him to leave, so he decides to string him along. It’s when their power dynamic started shifting that Nandor is suddenly throwing himself into romance and looking for a mate (who are all either emotionally unavailable and decidedly less ‘innocent’ than Guillermo or flat out entirely romantically unavailable for Nandor), despite being relatively uninterested in that previously. He’s pre-emptively trying to replace Guillermo, so that he won’t be as hurt when Guillermo inevitably leaves him once he’s turned. While he was clearly bullshitting about testing Guillermo with the fight, what he said after - about Guillermo being ready to be turned - was probably genuine. He sees that Guillermo is fine without him and doesn’t need his protection anymore and so he decides to have some fun last moments of travel together and then let him go. I have a hunch that even if Nandor does have romantic feelings towards Guillermo, he probably keeps himself from acting on them, because he doesn’t think of himself as deserving of someone ‘pure’ like Guillermo. Wich is ironic cause I find season 3 Guillermo sort of terrifying.
I just realised that vampires don't like making their familiars into vampires because it would mean that they would stop serving them. Especially Nandor, who literally cannot live properly without Guillermo. All Guillermo would have to do is swear to continue serving Nandor as a vampire of his own accord, ensuring that giving him eternal life would allow them to be together for longer and I'm sure Nandor would do it in a heartbeat.
I feel like that was the initial thought but the more he liked Guillermo's company the more he wished to not give him the actual burden that is to be a vampire- but I feel like in this latter season they are completely ignoring the problematic cause Guillermo's not bugging Nandor about it (cause he is one now) and Nandor is in peace with that- although a little jealous (at first) for Guillermo's lack of attentions BUT WHY AREN'T THEY INTERACTING MORE? I can't wait for the big finale of the season
my favorite scene is when Guillermo comes back to the house after being in Europe with Nadja and when he falls through the floor and Nandor immediately dives down to rescue him 😂❤
Oh my god yes I thought that was so out of character of him but thinking about it he actually was surely pining after a year being alone without Guillermo
