The one thing I always noticed in the show is how no matter how the producers tried to portray the relationships amongst you all, *most* of the moms seemed genuinely happy for all of the girls not just their own and it was always nice to see.
yes! there was so many times multiple moms celebrated victory’s even if if wasn’t their own kid! for example when Nia got the scholarship for most improved dancer melissa and holly hugged
@@ryanwwolfe Melissa only really cared about the girls she didn’t see as a threat to Maddie. Melissa was lowkey mean to Chloe a number of times and was also nasty to Brynn. People always bring up her crying for Paige as an example of her caring for the other girls but we really don’t even know for sure what she was crying about and she only cared for girls that weren’t a threat to Maddie.
Christi truly was/is that mom who looked out for all the girls. She never looked out just for her daughter as many others did. In the end that backfired which wasn’t her fault.
Most of the drama she got into was because she was pointing out the favoritism (Wich affected every girl and not only Chloe) or she was looking out for the sake of the girls Like when she said that Mackenzie and Maddie were spending too much time in the studio and didn't had time to be normal kids

I just love how you talk about all the girls like they’re your own. You can see the amount of love you have for them and I think it’s so sweet!! I’m so glad that all of you managed to get out of such a toxic environment and let your relationships flourish without the constant stress and tension of the show.
Remember Christi screamed at Melissa talking shit about her in front of her daughters, Maddie and Kenzie were crying, Melissa told Christi her girls were crying, but Christi didn't listen 😂 she acted like a bully in front of 2 little girls
@@MasonHuckabone my point is Christi is not what most people think she is. Iconic? LOL. She also once yelled at Paige screaming shit about Kelly until Paige cried. No other dance moms did that to Chloe.
I honestly think Nia's solos as she got older became so much better because she was growing into herself. And I always enjoyed watching Brook just because she made everything look so easy.
I love how you talk about Kenzie’s CRY solo. In that episode YOU say my favourite quote of DanceMoms, “you don’t have to be maddie, you can be mackenzie, Kenzie is just as special” .. it not only was the most empowering to say to Kenzie right there, it’s so beautiful to hear someone tell a kid that they are perfect how they are and they don’t have to be someone else. Just like you I always love to see how confident Kenzie went onto that stage and did that solo which was putting here straight up against her own sister, and Kenzie killed that solo, even with major stress and sacredness that came with it.

LOLOL... right, cause she liked a dance she did, she wasn't jealous? Go back and watch all the old episodes, where she would roll her eyes and complain "Oh Maddie gets better choreography, oh Abby set it up so the talent scout saw Maddie." Anyone who is not on the Chloe and Christy pity train saw that Maddie was 100 times better, even talent scouts and music executives saw it. She was in the studio in the off season working her butt off while the Lusuckiacs were off at meet n greets trying to further sell their victim story, and most of you buy it. Then Christi undermines the teacher right infront of Chloe and instills in her mind that she is a victim, and you wonder why Chloe wasn't motivated to dance? and that's exactly why she peaked talent wise when she was 9. sad but true.
@@BIGBOYMATD harsh but true. I like Christi for the most part but it did start to irritate me how she constantly made excuses. Favoritism in the studio is not the reason Maddie is still a successful working dancer. She was given the favoritism because they saw how dedicated and passionate she was. Chloe was still given many opportunities to shine. Next to Maddie she was easily the child with the most solos. The broadway agent in s1 saw both Maddie and Chloe perform individually and he chose Maddie. Sia watched the show and obviously saw something in Maddie, not Chloe, despite the show being edited in Christi and Chloe’s favor to make them look like the sympathetic underdogs. At a certain point you have to get real and just admit that your kid doesn’t want it as bad or simply doesn’t perform well under pressure. But she never will of course.
Honestly the only enemies are the producers, lifetime and Abby herself being a terrible person even before the show. All the other moms and kids have defended each other saying that Christi wasn’t jealous, Maddie was not even close to being a brat, Brooke wasn’t a moody teen and Jill wasn’t a crazy mom who was just “my little Kendall” 24/7 This show did more bad than good to everyone’s reputation so I honestly feel bad for them.
@@BIGBOYMATD y’all realize she wasn’t jealous of Maddie but the way ABBY was treating Maddie in comparison to the other girls. She always made sure to tell Maddie how proud she was and to go a good job. Plus, the producers told them to say/do certain things as well as cut/edit to make things worse for the seaman element of the show.
@@goldrush18x true, you can’t really pinpoint who is the victim and who is the villain because everyone’s perspective is valid. Abby did set Chloe up very often, but at the same time Maddie simply was the harder worker. Of course we can take into account the reason why Chloe wasn’t as much of a hard worker, since Abby tried to tear her down every week. But Abby mainly did that because she didn’t like Christi, and projected that onto Chloe. There were just some times when Christi would victimize Chloe and herself too much that of course Chloe would use that as an excuse to not improve. Maddie worked even harder because naturally she wanted it and her skills were praised (unlike the others). So there’s just so many things that go into it, that you can’t really just pick one side and act like it’s 100% correct

When you were talking about how cool Brooke was with the girls when they were itty bitty even though she didnt have to be I immediately thought of the episode where Brooke got on the cheerleading squad and the girls came over to celebrate and how Kenzie literally launched herself into Brookes arms and the rest of the girls piled on. A 13/14 year old could be totally annoyed by that but you could see she was genuinely glad they were there
That scene was so cute, when Chloe hugged her and Mackenzie kissed her and said they missed her so much. It’s so sweet and Brooke was so sweet to them. It’s almost like Brooke knew that she was that cool older sister that the little ones wanted to be bc they thought she was cool and she loved them for it and didn’t push them away.
The Producers didn't show enough of the friendship and support the girls did have. Hanging out outside the show and comforting each other. And laughing and being juveniles.
Just watched a Q and A on Melissa's channel that she recently did with Brooke. They talk about how when Kenzie was tiny, she was aaaalways attached to Brooke's hip like a little doll. So so sweet and endearing that they had that relationship. I'm glad they all still keep in touch.
I love that she never once compared them to Chloe and just tallied great things about each girl! I fell like if Jill tried to do this she would say “But my Kendall…” after every compliment.
I love how she’s not ashamed to talk about her experience on dance moms. I feel like all the other girls and moms try avoiding It now but she actually tells us about her time there which I rlly appreciate as a massive dance moms fan.
Christi was NEVER jealous of maddie, she was angry because it was so obvious that abby gave maddie better coreo and more time/attention, and also who wouldn't be upset when abby treated chloe so bad and set her up to fail so often and even refused to call her by her name )?
I could tell that VooDoo Doll Choreography was geared towards Chloé. Kendall’s dance would’ve had a front aerial at the time if was geared towards her. I 1000% believe that Chloé would’ve won the national title if she performed VooDoo Doll.
I love how you ranked both solos Chloe did recently and solos the other girls did. I think you and Kelly should do a video of both of your favorite solos both Brooke and Paige did. I think that would be interesting and really fun
I recently got to to see "home again" and it is my favorite group dance now. Stunning. I wish they show the whole number, even when Maddie was last off stage and gave it that extra emotion.
My favorite solo from Chloe is always Soaring. I loved Maddie's solo happiness. I love purple Rain for Brooke. Paige's favorite solo of mine was the one on the gym floor and she had the orange outfit. My favorite Kendall solo was battled feet. Kalanis is always fragile forest or Say Something. I love all the girls from the show!
I've been binge watching dance moms and you were my favorite dance mom. You never took any crap and stood up for what was right. I just hate to know producers were the one making most of the problems! I danced for 14 years and watching the show brings back so many memories.

I agree Disappear was my favorite Maddie performance cause it was just something nobody else would create and Maddie pulled it off like a professional. As for Brooke. The Apple (Eve) number. My mom watched it and just gasped. I think we both watched it multiple times before we could talk and be like Dang! That was great! So ya, I agree with you on most :)

My favorite Chloe solo was the last one she did when the irreplaceables won with survivor at nationals. It made me cry knowing what Chloe went through. I still rewatch it to this day. In that episode too I also really love Nias solo

I think a lot of mine were after season 4 when you left. Kendall's DOA solo is my favourite for her. The concept was very clever and she KIIIILLED it. I remember once I worked out the story I was like whooooa and had to rewatch it because it was just so cool! Mackenzie I loved Sink or Swim, not because of the win against Maddie, that was a huge achievement, I just remember watching it with my jaw down the whole time then she did that front handspring to pike stretch (no idea if that's what it's called) and I was just like HOW?!?! Nia I actually can't remember the name of it, and it's one of thise ones with some ouch feelings behind it, but the one where she was in this little princess outfit and Kendall moved to Candy Apples and the producers (or whoever) made then go against each other and ruined the whole day but the SOLO itself was so gorgeous. Her passion in it was so loud you could feel it through the tv and I just loved that dance. (Again, once you focus solely on the dance and not the drama). Paige I agree, make some noise was AWESOME. She was amazing and you could tell she knew it as she was dancing and it was a great moment for her. Vivi there's only two and yeah, Honeybee was better. Those runs at the end are so damn cute. Kalani was another one I don't remember the name of. The one where her old teacher came in and worked with her and did this solo that involved so much emotional movement rather than this pretty, lyrics dance with a bunch of acro in it which we'd seen over and over by this point. I remember watching it just like whoa we are being shown Kalani as this beautiful, incredible dancer but she's even more incredible than any of us thought or knew. I know she was after season 4 but Jojo I loved her improv electricity. It was so cool to see just how incredible this kid was at totally making something up on the spot, yet it showed the accents in the music and all this emotion that usually gets masked by the 'what comes next?' expression when dancing but Jojo had none of that confusion because she was too good at improv. Brynn, also after s4, I loved she's magic. I just remember thinking it was so well done and, similar to Kalani, showed us this whole other dancer to the pretty, lyrical dancer box she was put into. Asia I liked her AUDC dances better than dance moms. I loved both her lion one and the one from the finale where she used the same music as Glam the zombie dance. Her performance skills were next level for a 6/7 year old!! Minis I loved the contemporary dance Lilly did that everyone kept saying was supposed to be for Kalani but she was an irreplaceable by then. She was so small but pulled off these mature, contemporary movements and I remember being so wowed by this tiny little human. Elli I think got ripped off by choreography a lot in her solos, so I'm actually jumping to a group dance when I think of her and remember that one where she was the only mini in with the older kids and she was a fairie or something. I remember thinking she did incredibly with that and it actually showed just how good she was rather than putting her in some weird themed costume with no story which a lot of her solos were (idk about s8, I didn't watch s8) And shout out to that girl who did that stunning dance for her older brother. I can't remember her name right now but that dance was STUNNING and it showed so much maturity to get through it. Brooke I LOVED diary of Anne Frank. The ending where she slides the book away gives me chills every time. The Kelly comments about Anne Frank also crack me up. This is actually my fav Dance Moms solo fullstop. Maddie has so many it's hard to remember!! Honestly can I say Chandelier??? Nothing to do with the show but it was another breaking out of this 'pretty, lyrical dancer' box and it showed what a good performer she was and how she COULD do these perfectly placed steps but she could also run heel-toe and drag her arm behind her like it was falling off and still look just as impressive. Chloe I'm including because she isn't my kid either lol. Dream on a star. hands down. The moment where she's literally standing there blinking and the expression on her face was just so perfect and even the camera angle was perfect for the moment. Too precious. I loved it. Another one where you could feel passion through your tv. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk. Xx

This is me realizing the Brooke was in high school while all the other girls were in like elementary school and they were still all so close and nice to each other, it very much reminds me of my old studio and I miss that vibe

Honestly Christy is the best dance mom ever because she is one of the parent that acts correctly and she stands up for any child at any time and she never try’s to boost Chloe with a gift or anything.

Christi you’re so nice and kind towards the girls and you had every right to be angry, not that you are angry. I remember when miss Abby was comparing Kenz to Maddie and you were just like I don’t exactly know what you said but you said something and it was like “you go out there and me Mackenzie you don’t need to be maddie kenzie is just as good.” You look out for all the other girls and no shade to Melissa but when Melissa was standing up for Abby and not kenz or maddie you always not to Abby you just talked to them and made sure they were okay and I loved when you hugged Paige after Abby threw the chair at her (or didn’t idk) and Kelly went to stand up for her and stand up for her daughter I just loved you by far you are definitely and always will be my fave dance moms and I know you would get in there and fight for the girls again today if you needed to!!! They should make an elderly category for dance competitions lmao. On another note: Christi was the main mom that stood up for each and every single girl on the show, even Maddie. Christi was literally the only one who stood up for Maddie and called out how Abby’s treatment had a negative impact on Maddie too. Yet Christi was always accused of “being jealous” which is so stupid because anyone with a some sense can see that Christi was never jealous. She was just fair. She had strong morals and she wanted everyone else to be fair. She was honest and real and never stood by quietly while all the BS was happening and they hated and gaslighted her for it because she always spoke the uncomfortable truths and exposed the snakes. 🐍 and even when Christi may have stepped out of line, she always apologized and owned up to her mistakes. Something you rarely ever saw anyone else do. Christi was the realest and bravest mom on that show idc what anyone says. 💯 I will always respect her the most out of anyone else.
i agree with this but i would like to add tho that Maddie and Mackenzie has said multiple times that they used to beg Melissa before, during and after shoots to never say anything or to never defend them and just let it be.
@@Heeyitsmika yes that’s very true even on the show they hated when melissa would say something to abby because they knew abby didn’t care what you said and would just make it worse for the girls. i love that christi did it but i also can see why melissa never did in respect for her kids cuz in the case of this show the moms never won

Idk how ppl say she was jealous of Maddie. Like she cared so deeply about Maddie she helped her out and treated her very well. In one episode she gave her like a mommy hug and it was so sweet. I really hate whenever people try to call her jealous
