I recently went from the Note 20 Ultra to the regular, "small" S22. I like that it doesn't weigh so much my pants fall down lol. Anyway, I agree that taking pics with the camera you have with you is the way to go, and modern phones are so good that a lot of my favorite wide-angle shots are from my phone.

I've got the s22 ultra and played around with different cases and my darker nd filters with generic clip on let light leak in but found the original Samsung silicone case seals off each individual camera lens and made it easier for the clip to sit flush and not allow light leak if that helps anyone out

Hello Brent Im wondering what filters You prefer to use for s22 Ultra ? I wanted to buy moment case for it, but there is only for s21 ultra, should i use something with clip or is there any other company that manufactures cases to which filters can be attached for s22 ultra? :)

I had the same problem. Unfortunately I don't think moment will make cases for anymore Samsung phones moving forward. They do have a universal filter mount, but I've found it to be not a great fit. I've just been holding my big regular lens filters over the phone with my hand when I need them. It kind of sucks, but I don't know of any other decent phone filter mounts for the Newer Samsung phones.

Hoping for you that the fire gets put out. Also, thanks for the video. I also own the s22 ultra + moment lens collection & found that with the dbrand grip case it would sit flush when you it with the lens clip.

glad I found your channel earlier, still checking out more of your content. I checked out Moments site just cus, why did they just skip over the S22 lol...anyways I know you have a S24 cus I just watched a video earlier where you used it for astrophotography, did you go back to Moment or you stick to the PeakDesign? How do you feel about the phone cages and lenses out there, like Beastgrip for example? are the lenses a scam? I was thinking about a cage but IDK if its worth it if im aiming towards tripods, and ND filters seem useful...

I haven't went back to moment, or tried any of their new stuff, so I couldn't comment on how that is. I've stayed with the PD mobile ecosystem for everyday stuff, because I got their car mount, desk mount, tripod mount, and little tabletop tripod thing and like them all. For photo stuff I've pretty much switched over to the Freewell system. I got their case and filters, and they had also sent me some lenses to try out. I made a couple of videos about that stuff, which are in my S24 playlist I think. I think their lenses are pretty high quality. As to whether or not they're necessary, that depends on what you need. This is gonna take me a min to explain, so I think I'll just make a video on the rest, so hang tight and make sure you're subbed and I'll try to get it out soon.

@@BrentHall lol Thank you, and yeh the Freewell stuff looks nice also, I definitely want the case and lenses, but they too skipped S22 it seems, I wanted to try and hang on to my S22 as the S24 isnt a huge upgrade despite how much I want it, I wanted to hold out for S25 and have the S22 as a secondary until I can get a nice Canon. Also wondering how your experience with the PD "complications" has been, if any, due to the magsafe, I see people have some issues, at least with the S22, hoping once I get the S24 or 25 in the future that it wont be a thing. I live in San Leon TX (Galveston) theres alot of photo opportunity here, I just gotta get to it. Anyways I really like your approach to things man I find myself able to learn from you so Ive definitely subbed and my inspirations have sort of been refreshed lately, hoping to find my way into digital creation and change my life. Thank you for your efforts.

Well that's weird? Because I just looked and they're almost all there, except the gimbal, idk where that one went, but the PD case and accessories link is there, the tripod, the lights. Did I miss something else? Edit: okay the Lume Cube light links were broken, I'll have to fix that when I get home.

@@BrentHall after clicking each of your links individually I see now that SOME of them are there. Obviously the PD stuff, but everything else is just listed as "my favorite this" or "my favorite that" You didn't list anything by it's name, so I had to click each link to find out what it actually was. (ANNOYING) and also, you don't have the Ulanzi linked at all. Don't even mention it. Since I'm not in the PD lineup, something like the Ulanzi is more appealing to me since it's universal, and honestly that's the link I was looking for. In the video you don't say what it is other than "this one is made by Ulanzi" so I had to actually pause the video and ZOOM IN to see that it was the Ulanzi ST-03. I WAS able to find it on Amazon, but it would have been a LOT easier if you had each item you went over, listed out by it's name, and then a direct link to that item.

I'm extremely disappointed in moment I've been talking so much shit to them over not doing a case for the galaxy s22+....Got a moment anamorphic lens can't use it greattttt....I'm fed up man....It's time for Samsung to start building anamorphic lens options into the galaxies itself..Now I gotta shoot my short film without a lens....

I picked up the PD case but had to return it since you can't use the SPen on Galaxy S22 Ultra with case installed due to the magnetic clip on the back. Did you notice this?

Yeah, it's an unfortunate downside of the magsafe stuff for the S22U. I'm pretty sure they have a disclaimer about it on their product page. Personally, I almost never use the S pen, so for the very rare occasion I might use it, I just pop the case off for a minute, but I can definitely see how that will be a deal-breaker for avid S pen users.

I just returned from a week in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. I shot several times in the outer ranges of the Tonto National Forest, and noticed a lot of fire damage. I learned later of a series of wildfires over the last decade or two that really damaged a lot of the forest, the worst being in the interior where I didn't shoot. Most of the fires were human-caused; one was intentional arson. On the one hand, nature rebounds. On the other, it's still a damn shame and largely preventable. People just don't think, it seems. Imagine someone coming into your home and just tossing lit matches and cigarettes around.

@@chilodaone the strength of the magnets cause dead spots when using the S pen, but if you remove the case it works fine. Hopefully they will find a way to fix that. I heard Mous cases work fine

We're alright. The fire is still ongoing and growing. It's at like 250K acres now and is the second largest fire in state history. They are making some headway on containment though. It's about 27 miles from Silver City.

I don't know, I don't really ever use gimbals for my phone. The only one I've used was the smooth X one a while back. It did fine, but it was only a 2 axis.

Do you need a gimball? I'm surprised how good the image stabilization is. When I get my phone holder and mounted to a tripod walking I'll bet will be smooth enough. I have a large unit for my dslr but can only hold it a few minutes.

Hey there nice video!! Just had a question, would it be more feasible to have a Gorilla Pod rather than a full tripod for S22 Ultra? as I am not full time photographer like yourself and don't own any other professional grade DSLRs too. Please suggest ☺️

Of course, you can use whatever tripod works for you. I don't have any gorilla pods though, so I couldn't say as to their specific performance.
