Read the description says 45KM/H. I would check the instructions and see if there is a missed setting on the controller. It sure planes the water amazingly well! Love your content.

Loved your review so much that I bought that boat for our 9 y.o. great-nephew who is visiting on vacation. We took it out today on Lake Michigan (in a shipping channel protected from the open lake) and we couldn't be more impressed! Wow! The included 3S 1200mah battery lasted nearly 15 minutes. Very speedy, awesomely stable! It always up righted itself. Couldn't sink it if he tried. Thanks for sharing your video review!

I remember that other one, thought it was cool how the 'motor' turned with the rudder. I was impressed how quick it self righted. The family was at the clubhouse for Memorial Day and my Great Nephew enjoyed driving my Deadbolt around, expecially through the tunnel (we replaced a culvert and have half sitting in the yard).

Looks might be deceiving, but this boat seemed slow. Also would've liked to have seen a tighter turning radius. The previous $40 boat looked more entertaining...

Wow.. have I been watching you guys that long? lol - yeah I remember the 1st one being faster and handling tight turns like a champ.. this one keeps dipping the rear outside corner and maybe a better battery might help speed.. but yeah the 1st one had a big ole rooster tail behind it 😉

I used to be an IMPBA champion in outboard tunnel hull boats in the .21 and .40 size back in the early 90's. So fun!

Love the boat and video

I bought one of the originals about two years ago after 'finding' your video. Great boat. Really looks scale. The water internal issue can create problems if you get enough as when it flips it lays in the upper (now lower) deck void and prevents it rolling back!!!! Tried double seal etc with limited success. I upped the speed of mine with a metal prop. Much faster. Thank you for the super content and the 'old' end screen. Love that!!!! Stay safe and lucky.

There is a knob on the controller that can put it in ‘child’ mode. Probably it’s turned to the left. Turn it fully to the right for max speed. The controller is the same as for e.g. wltoys 124018 rc car. The knob sits a bit to the right from the steering wheel.

If you like that, try building the old Dumas kit. They are still for sale at Dumas. Nitro power outboard, quick and fun.

Is it possible that when you turned the knob that you thought was the trim was actually the thottle rate and you turned it down making it slower then normal?

I have this same boat, and it goes a lot quicker than this one. Accelerating from still, it pretty much leaps out of the water. Mines the WL toys version.

You might me thinking of the Bancroft F1 tunnel hull boat that looks exactly the same but is s 24" long hull. I own it and it moves out, I got mine going 42mph with a 35mm octura prop. This one looks like a knock-off of it but shorter. Do you know what the hull length is?

The Joysway version is also considerably faster, capable of low 30s (mph) but porpoising is the most annoying thing about them and it's very difficult to trim that out.

Believe it or not there is a low battery alert built into the ESC and the receiver. When the battery gets low the ESC will cut the power and the hand held receiver will start to beep. Like your product reviews, keep up the fantastic work.

This looks way slower than the old model. Does this one handle 4 and 5s batteries like I did with my wl915 😎 (videos on my page). I still have mine and will make new 5s runs this summer!! Love the old wl915

I re-watch it was 2 years ago and that wltoys version seems faster than this one. Abby and nate you guys should re-watch that video to see it again. But just letting you know.. maybe if you still have that wltoys boat and have you guys race each other with both boats. But it's seems like the wltoys boat was just little faster than this one.

I bought that speedboat thanks to you .. But I got bored ... and it was my first speedboat and I didn't even know what I was buying ... You praised it .. and I bought it ... What's wrong with him? Well maybe everything :-) It fills up so fast with water and then it becomes bad to steer, it doesn't suffer waves at all, there is no reverse !, it goes so fast that it overturns .. it doesn't spray water behind it :-( .. it can't be driven slowly because it leans to one side. .. There are more negative sides, but I forgot ... Now the speedboat is standing on the rack and it just looks nice .. Ever since I bought the UDI Arrow 005 ... I've learned that I don't need anything anymore ... because he can do anything ... and he's fun ...
