My only complaint is that it wasn't longer. Tom may be well known but he is vastly underrated and he doesn't pretend to be anything he isn't which was made evident multiple times in this video.

I love Tom cause you can tell just how passionate he is when he talks about his gear or his playing. You can tell that he's genuinely excited to share his knowledge and he loves his craft.

You could hear Nikki’s heart break when Tom said “I didn’t want drugs and groupies I wanted to be a real musician”

I love the thought of Nikki Sixx watching RU-vid guitar tutorial videos. That's just fantastic.

This is the guy that made me ask for a shitty Yamaha guitar beginner pack in 7th grade, and started a guitar obsession I've been in since then. He wasn't the best shredder, and he didn't pretend to be. He just wanted to give people something they haven't heard, and have it be damn good. No single guitarist has been more influential to me in terms of ethos about music. Thanks for being real, Tom.

probably the most underrated guitarist ever. he reminded me of a hendrix of the 90s. no one was making the guitar sing/talk like he did his insane riffs for rage or his legendarily scary lines for audioslave, this man is complete

Tom is such a visionary. I have read several articles where he's said he abandoned his search for the ultimate tone and settled on working with what he's got. I took that to heart and did the same thing. I have written more and enjoyed playing more than ever. I'm not a huge Tom Morello follower, but he has always made sense. Awesome guy.

What he said around the 5 minute mark , " I don't wanna run that race " , was how I felt too. Call me lazy but it was a huge relief to NOT have to practise a zillion hours every day just to sound like a zillion other guitar players

I don’t agree with Tom Morello politically very much. However, who can deny this mans skill level with the guitar. He pretty much revolutionized the toggle switch. Just listening to him talk, he comes across as a hell of a cool guy. Love to watch videos like this. Helps to gain respect for someone you might not see eye to eye with.

I have never even heard him speak before, but Tom seems like an amazing guy. I love how he comes on and plays his own rifts - and not in a conceited way - but because he's genuinely proud of what he has accomplished and is having an awful lot of fun doing it all these years later. I'd give anything to hang out with the guy for a day!

Tom's solo off that Rage track from the Crow soundtrack is one of the most beautiful solos of all time. I like hearing a little bit of it in that demo he did.

Not really the biggest fan of his style, but Tom Morello is probably the nicest, most humble “famous” person I’ve ever seen.

So awesome to see how Tom & Nikki are still ao passionate about playing music after all these years, like two young teens excited about seeing their favorite band in town.

This series reminds me of when I first saw Lars doing his show on Beats, and I thought "wow, what a great interviewer!". The whole series has really blown us away because of the way Nikki is so engrossed in what the guests have to say, something that, being honest, I never would have thought of given the whole rock star persona, rather than the musician behind it. A wonderful series! Tom Morello is just superb, love the attitude he has to be doing something different from the crowd, and to go from Rage to Springsteen shows the versatility he has as a musician.

Morello is always great to watch! Definitely one of the greatest! I could listen and watch him play for hours! Sixx is very humble and honorable to bring some of these guitar virtuoso’s on his show. Hats off to him.

Ill always remember when RATM self titled album came out looking in the inlay card and it said something along the lines that no other instruments other than guitar bass drums are used on this album. That blew my mind coz I thought there was a bunch more on my 1st few listens. Tom is such an innovative gutairst. So experimental and that album is mindblowing. A start to finish album and more relevant in todays world than ever before.

So playing Know Your Enemy's intro is somehow like playing the Guitar Hero game LOL

This was special his RATM and Audioslave work is timeless and to hear him talk about how he got there his Bruce Springsteen experience learning 250 songs and the technical aspects of his playing like a 12 year old who just learned how to play his guitar is infectious.

Tom Morello is a creative genius. I can remember being in awe seeing him play stood at the front row of my first Rage concert. I still had the same sense of awe the second time I saw them.

I wonder how many toggle switches Tom Morello's guitar techs had to replace in his career.

I remember when I heard Know Your Enemy on the first Rage album. I must of played that song ten times in a row. It’s the sickest most evil riff on a whole album full of evil riffs. So nasty with so much attitude and basically a classic rock guitar tone which was very unique for the time.
