Honestly, her performance of Alfie is was really made me appreciate Cynthia. She was amazing doing I'm Here and it made me cry. But that's also an extremely emotional song. But I wept with Alfie too, and it made me realize that it's not just the song. It's her.

For your enjoyment, you would love a podcast Erivo did with Terrel where she played a game involving getting a word and choosing a song to sing acapella. Not only does sitting next to her unadorned voice at close range nearly kill the host, she is thoughtful, amusing, and compelling as a human. Also the whole Proms concert at the Royal Albert Hall is a masterclass of building a concert.
