the sidebags stem from UK gangwear. it used to be used for two phones, a gun or a knife, and drugs. Can easily be hidden under a jacket, is out of pocket so less bait to spot, and grew big when grime went worldwide, as a lot of grime MCs used to sling drugs at the very least. All these designers have been making them for time, sure, but they never used to sell well, as in the UK, other than gucci belts and expensive watches and Nike air shoes, most road wear was dirt cheap sports direct tracksuits. I agree with a lot of your opinions, but as someone who grew up around Nirvana fans/underground hip hop heads, I've seen way too many Cobain shades in my short 23 years. It's cornier than any style of shades I can think of.
