Hey everyone, I'm back! I've been working like a crazy man for the past five months and it is great to do another video! Finally! Yeah! If you are a fan of Hamilton watches, especially those used by the military during world war 2, this watch is fantastic. Its quality is by far, the best to come out of American Watch Manufacturers up until that time, and I believe its quality is as good as most modern Rolex movements. Check it out...
I'm using a new camera, so I'm still getting used to it. Thanks again, and take care.

Loved your video, very informative. The Hamilton 992b was a great movement which was developed for the US rail road industry. Have a Ball 999b which uses the movement from the 1940’s and it still keeps excellent rail road time which is like COSC and predates that standard by decades.

Thank you. You are an outstanding teacher. Editing is also flawless. I really enjoy your videos and have learned a lot from you. Everyone that I have introduced to your channel loves your content, even those that are not into watches. As a matter of fact you have turned a couple of my friends into watch nerds like me. Thank You.👍🤜🤛

I have the white faced version with the seconds hand sweep. I traded 2 hours of work for it. He offered me cash or the watch. Easy choice for me to make.

Ey Peter, very much enjoyed your video. I own a G.C.T 4992B manufactured back in 1941. As well one of my favorite. Your video wil certainly help me to service it by myself..

It's interesting that you compare this watch's quality to Rolex because I was thinking it looked like a big Rolex as you were working on it.

A watch built like that today, would cost a small fortune, excellent quality!

Amazing video thanks for showing how to disassemble and oil the watch. I to have one in my possession and when I checked it on the timegrapher the beat error needs to be adjusted. Can you tell me where and how to make the adjustment? Is it on the balance wheel screws? Thanks

Love the video! Would you say other late-year models (e.g. late-40’s, 1950’s) were of similar quality, or is this excellence specific to this model in particular?

I looked on your website, I don’t see a list of prices on this kind of service. How can I get an estimate for this model of watch?

Peter--- always an interesting video. What would you consider a fair price to pay for one of these in good running condition?

I’ve seen ones like this one sell for somewhere between 350.00 and 450.00 at watch meetups. And 400 to 600 online. In lesser condition, 250.00 to 400.00. Depends on availability.

Your favorite ? Mine also. I have 9. 8 are complete, run and keep accurate time. 1 is incomplete (needs hands) and does not run (possible broken balance pivot). I have one wooden shock box. I have one watch with a matching numbers cardboard box. I know the name/rank of the airman who flew with it in the Italian campaign. I have 14 original print ads from 1943, large and small formats, and both varieties (Jimmy Doolittle, and tank commander). 3 were serviced when I bought them. I have had 2 professionally serviced ($550 with new mainspring and new crystal) What do you charge for comparable service?

Wow. You have the complete package. 16 years ago, I bought 14 in an auction on eBay for 1100.00. Got 8 working in a week. Took a lot of time to get the others running. They all had bad cases however.
