Thank you for showing us your lovely granny square blanket, one of my favourite projects to relax with and I make lots of pet blankets and lap blankets for the elderly using this stitch. Sometimes I’ll make a variation by adding chains for a second row then granny stitch and so on but I like to just keep it simple using beautiful yarns like Cookie yarn and not think, just crochet. Currently I’m using a wool blend variegated yarn making a square. Granny stitch is like the humble graphite pencil I love for drawing, it’s simple but timeless. Crocheting from a freezing Tasmania in minus temperatures. 🥶❄️ 🧶 🌙 ❤
@jacquicleijne9525 hello Jacqueline Thank you for watching 💜 Yes indeed the granny is so beautiful and timeless .I find it calming like therapy 😌 Blessings 💜 to you Stay warm
Such a beautiful blanket. Love the yarn. I have always wanted to make a granny square blanket. Never thought of doing a large granny square. I just love it
I love too crochet granny square triangle shawls large ones with no stitches to count and also I love to make granny squares with variegated yarn so I don’t have to change colours any every square is different and depending on how big I make a scarf or shawl your blanket is so beautiful god bless love Barbara 💚👋🏼
I started my first rectangular granny square ever!! It’s so fast and enjoyable and it feels so good!! I enjoy crocheting with you!!! Blessed be!! Aww I love that!!

Hi Deborah Brilliant where are you in Ireland.. Great to hear you love granny square I haven't tried corner to corner yet. I will in near future Happy New year Create with love ❤
@MarciaB12 good morning I don't actually But if you look up how to crochet a granny square there are lots of tutorials From different youtubers Try @Jadeinstitchs I think that's spelt right She is fabulous 👌 Thank you for watching Blessings 💜
Beautiful blanket. I’m currently in a use up my yarn that I have mode, and am making a v-stitch scarf with some yarn colour sets I found in my stash. I tend to be a slow crocheter and put it down a lot, but this is going quickly and is pretty mindless. Which means I probably won’t put it to the side, never to finish.
Your channel popped up this morning and I’m currently working my way through your old videos now . Your projects are beautiful and you seem like a lovely person. Happy to subscribe to support someone who obviously loves what they do.😊
Hi Mama I would love to know what part of Ireland you are from as l am sure that you have an Irish accent. I am from Wicklow myself. Love listening to you. I am crocheting a granny square blanket atm. Sending peace and 💚
Thank you for your reply! Your clusters look so nice and close together. Do you use a chain 1 or no chains between the clusters? Is there a pattern or do you just keep making a big square? Thanks again! X
Hi Shannon There isn't a pattern. I just continue for a big square. I don't chain in between clusters. I only chain 2 in the corners . Thanks again hope you are well ❤
Hi Annette Thank you for watching 💜 I'm not sure what you mean by swirling. If you mean like buckling. I find if I put 2 or 3 chains in each corner the buckling stops. Also if you maybe go up half a hook size stitches are a little looser no buckling. Hope this helps ❤
When I go on the link, it doesn't show how to buy, shows video ect. Thank you. I've found the yarn, not that color. Where are you, I'm uk. How many grams in each ball please. Thank you . Love your blanket xx.
Hi Melody I used a 4mm hook For 2 reasons One I'm a loose Crocheter. So I tend to go down half Size or full size depending on the drape I want.. Cookie yarn recommends 4.5mm to a 5mm And 2 I wanted a tighter stitch. Depending on the yarn you are using. ..try go by what's on the label. Hope thus helps ❤
