I agree, I got a Pentel Pocket Brush and it's got a lot of dry brush effect (when you don't mean to) and it's very hard to control! I recently got a Zebra firm tip brush pen and I'm in LOVE. I read on JetPens they are very similar to the Tombow.

How do you refill and with what ink?

@@bnp2bnp pretty easy. With the cap on you bend it to the point where a little gap appears between the Grip piece and the barrel of the pen. Slide your fingernail (ire something else) in the gap and bend the pen in the opposite direction, this will pop the barrels off the grip. Now you have access to the cartridge. Be careful removing it, maybe cover everything with a papertowl because iit will probably splatter. I use Platinum Carbon Black, but you can use whatever ink you like. Just make sure to flush everything clean before switching from one ink to an other, since they might react with each other and clog everything up

Rotring ink is good for brush pen refills

@@teohyc Teoh,..are you saying you are filling your brush pens with the Rotring Permanent black inks and diluting with water in the pen? I like the Rotring Rapidograph Ultra Draw 3085-F.BLA but never thought to dilute it. Think that would work in these brush pens? I have a few of those exact Brush pens laying around. I also have used Blick Black Cat Waterproof India Inke and of course the classic Deleter Black inks.

@@ToddDolce For the black, I use Roting. For the gray, I use Noodlers Lexington Gray. Blacks may dilute to brown, gray or cool gray so you have to find out which one you prefer.
