Those 310s made my hand sore today, which never happens (I use my #2 all day a lot of days). Don't use WD-40 for preserving tools. 3-in-1 is good & cheap. Good saw & bit cleaner at Menards cleans the sap off super well. Or Goop.
Is the blade replaceable on the 300s and if not what’s it holding up like in terms of wear? Nice to see the virtues of the cheaper Felcos being shared for a change … 👏🏻
Hi David, thanks for your question. I don't believe they make replacement blades, they are so inexpensive (by Felco standards at least), that replacement blades would cost similar to the whole piece. They are quite thin blades and need regular sharpening, so they will have a limited life, maybe 2 years of average usage?
Hi thanks for your question. I clean them with WD40 before putting them away. And now and then dismantle them to do a thorough job. I carry a Felco 903 Diamond sharpener which is small enough to fit nicely in the pocket, and does a great job of sharpening on the go. Hope this helps.
