The track makers have only just started to scratch the surface with the potential of rally tracks. I can't wait to see the more involved tracks that come out in the future, pushing the limits and going all out. It's going to be amazing.

A codriver mode would be nice, where the codriver can see the next few checkpoints on the minimap so that he can give instructions to the driver. I think this would lead to a whole new level of immersion.

i dont see this being used outside of the first time to showcase it plus i imagine people rather join the rally _to race_ than to be a co-driver :/ for an event it's possible but i doubt there'll be effort put into coding it

They have that mode on retail and out of all races hosted less than 2% are rally races which is essentially codriver mode, so it's not something i can see implemented.

@@haydenb3532 I guess the rally mode has never been widely used since you effectively need a player you know to be your codriver, since almost noone uses voice chat in events, which would be different on a dedicated racing server. On the other hand: The fact that the only responses to this comment were objections shows that you are probably right.

If there's one thing about rally that I can recommend, is to use your handbrake on tight corners. There is plenty of room for improvement on your entry speed and exit on these tight corners specially the hairpin ones. Love your content and your contribution to the GTA racing community, keep it up!

Yup, I see awesome liveries all the time and it would be cool to do your own too. On forza you can just make them right there you don't have to go online and mess around with that. Most of the liveries on gta suck. The cool ones aren't even on the best actual rally cars.

You should do a track where it uses the construction site and it’s off road And there’s a cool transition from the mountain to the site

@@Johnny362000 why. In many moments he would have turned quicker and accelerated by just hand braking instead of braking-turning-accelerating since braking and turning at the same time causes under steer or brake lock

@@Capt_Sid you still talking about gta or real life? even if he used the handbrake and essentially drifted around these corners, he'd lose so much speed since drifting is never quicker in gta, driving the track normally is quicker in almost every scenario

that's how I feel even with track racing in GTA. the cars have insane amounts of grip, so far from reality. I wish Project Homecoming would have opted for a more realistic approach, as well as not requiring every car to be fully tuned. Why does every car need a turbo?

@@HazewinDog the goal of Project Homecoming was to make an improved version of the vanilla GTA experience. Plus, GTA's physics engine makes more "realistic" handling very awkward and abusable. On the matter of tuning, that's simply because it makes life easier from a programming and "anti-cheat" perspective to have everything be fully upgraded

Attempting to get more "realistic" physics makes kerb-boosting, brake-boosting and other such techniques infinitely more effective, it makes the effect of spoilers silly and unrealistic, it breaks the collision of certain props, I could go on. The game simply is not designed with realism in mind and if you try to force it to be realistic then you run into problems.

not in this entirety no, since there's too many checkpoints, and the starting grid is custom-- someone could try recreating it but it would need around 2-3 jobs so you won't get the entire route

no they can't, it requires too many checkpoints and probably too many props as well

like it does for IRL rallies: drivers are released in 10 second intervals and at the end those with the shortest time wins the race. the position counter updates every checkpoint against those who started in front, since those are the only people who has reached that checkpoint at that point

the handbrake isn't really useful in GTA rally. It's not used much in real life rally either

@@zenrising3314 rallys are treated like a "individual time trial" so to speak, the race isint for positions or the amount of cars you pass, its the lowest time you can set from start to finish. all cars each have a 10 second gap to spread themselves out in the field and if a faster car approaches a slower car, the slow one must give way.
