And deciding to break free of that persona/programming, because this time Freddy is sentient and free of Glitchtrap and his programs.

I think the biggest problem with the five nights at Freddy's theory community is that too many of the fan base is so willing and always wanting some person to link back to someone else. It gets to the point where we really cannot even have a new character without someone trying to say that it's actually someone else in disguise. Like Mrs. Afton, I guarantee you no one to remember she was a thing and to say that she's actually the secret CEO of Fazbear I think is such a big stretch that it's impossible

One of the problems FNAF has is how overly vague it is, the fans looking into every little thing, FNAF lore and story being vague and more questions then answers but at the same time we're told not to look into every little thing. Not knowing more about William,Henry and the MCI/how the whole story came about is frustrating so i hope they give William and older lore questions some actual answers that aren't just more questions.
If FNaF ever ends, I hope the last game they make will be an absolute treasure trove of lore. Answering every question that's not been answered, clarifying assumptions and answers we thought were right, maybe even giving us a timeline? Just wishful thinking, but if Scott is still involved by the time FNaF is over, I'd imagine that he'd want to give us all the answers. FNaF is an absolute cash cow right now, so no telling when it'll end. We've already entered the futuristic era, so there's not really anything left to do except explore the past (Fredbear's, Fallfest, first Freddy Fazbear's Pizza location, etc). I genuinely don't know what they're supposed to do after Security Breach, maybe Freddy in Space will be come a reality...? Anyways, yeah, the games are extremely vague. We're STILL arguing about things from the first seven games, despite being in the SB era. Really hope they give us more answers than questions in the next game.

It wouldn’t matter anymore if we just knew the full story and every detail. The whole reason people love fnaf is trying to figure out the lore and coming up with THEIR own timelines. Without that, fnaf would NEVER have gotten this popular. It’s also why MatPat blew up the franchise..because of the lore. It being vague is why it’s popular in the first place. Taking that away…you’re just losing the charm of the series. Not to mention, people were literally upset at how ‘old’ the lore of Help Wanted 2 was. No joke. People were upset that it didn’t add any new lore, but confirmed stuff we already knew. Like how people already knew Glitchtrap being the Mimic…which we didn’t fully know that, but alright. Something interesting to note about the point you made about the Glam Endos being mimics: in the endo warehouse, RUIN and HW2's endo minigame, we only ever see one body type for the endos, matching Monty and Freddy's. This implies that the endos for Chica and Roxy had to essentially change its shape to fit the glamrock shells. Mimics are able to - as shown by the books and RUIN - change its shape to fit into costumes
On the broken vs bleeding line: like, I get it, sure, Occam's Razor and whatnot, but why go for "I sense you are broken" when "I sense you are hurt" or " I sense you are injured" would have worked better in that instance? There are a million and one ways to tap dance around the fact that blood exists and sometimes makes unscheduled exits from the body. I just find it a bit off that they opted for "broken" when another word would have worked fine and set off no theory bells. Especially since we've heard that specific phrasing before with the robot kid implications affixed to it.

What I don’t like about it just being a dumb greedy CEO is… it’s so boring. Can every decision that leads to Afton, ghosty, robot stuff just be bad decisions? I know in some part that’s always been part of FNAF but to some part there’s been William behind some of it. It does *feel* like there’s something malicious before Vanny/Glitchtrap and not a CEO.

I disagree with the CEO being no one because in the books Mr. Burrows is the chairman of the board, not CEO. The CEO and chairman usaly are separate in companies. Also, Fazbear ent somehow has CIA levels of resources and cover-ups, especially in the books story of Help wanted.
My theory is that Fazbear is basically Umbrella Corp. from Resident Evil. They have the backing of the government who wants access to their advanced robotics instead of REs bioweapon. FNAF 2 the toys are connected to a criminal database and have facial recognition in the 80s. Plus who is talking to Afton in Sisters location? To me it sounds like a government agent/handler

I have a small alternative to your theory about how Molten MCI came about. It could be that, rather than him trying to get more remnant and dying causing Michael to go down to the bunker, it’s the other way around, where Michael goes down to the bunker and leaves with all the funtimes in his belly, and then William does follow me to try and get remnant for replacement animatronics to keep doing experiments, but dies in the process. I think this does a better job explaining Molten MCI because it means follow me can all happen in one night, without William having to go back later for some reason after he’s already put the remnant in the funtimes. I believe this because it solves a contradiction between two other things about sister location. 1. The line “right where you said she would be” implies that Will directly told Michael about the SL bunker, rather than Mike just going there after Will dies. If this is true, it means Follow Me can’t happen before SL. 2. Will has to get springlocked before Michael barfs up Ennard, or else Mike would just immediately find Will and try to kill him (“I’m going to come find you”). Both of these can be true if Follow Me takes place over a single day shortly after Mike getting scooped and before him barfing up Ennard.
I've been thinking the same thing! It's an interesting alternative to consider, because it would be so cool if William ever met/saw/knew about the Ennard-Michael amalgym.
I think Gregory's eyes glitching when Vanny is close is due to the transponder still being on his head and it has that function of detecting Vanny's transponder signal and it warps Gregory's mind/vision because of that!

@ha-vj2pg Actually, it is likely that Princess Questis is the only ending, not cannon. We also had with SB that Princess Quest is the only 3 star ending. Which is why we thought it could have been the true ending before RUIN. Princess Quest and Dismantly Vanny endings also have a cuts ene before the comic ending.

I've worked in customer service my whole working life (nearly 10 years now) I fully believe that the CEO of Fazbear in the new timeline just sucks cuz they often do. They're rarely there due to pure intelligence, it's mostly just they got money and even if they did work their way up to the top, that was 20+ years ago and everything has changed
It would be cool if Sammy (Charlie's twin in the books) is the CEO. He is blood related, so it's not going to someone who married in the family. (That's why I disagreed with Mrs Afton being the CEO because she isn't blood related, so why would it go to her out of anyone else?) Also he could be actually important and not just a plot point vs how the books treated him. Henry kinda forgets and neglected Sammy in the books, so him doing the opposite from his father by making a giant mega-pizza plex would be a cool screw you moment. WHY HENRY AND WILLIAM BOTH STARTED FALL FEST ALONG WITH HOW THEY MET THEORY My theory on how william and henry met and why fall that's so important. Not only do I believe fall fest was a forced collaboration by a city council or mayor. It's the reason why Afton hates Henry so much. If he had a part to creating those animatronics. Like sun and moon and all those circus things ones. It could be looked as jealousy by Afton. Saying that Henry is trying to overshadow him again. By them being forced to do this joint venture. Which would make it the first event of this timeline. By showing us that the fnaf corporation was truly accidental. The only reason why it came to be. Is because it was a forced venture by the towns or cities. Mayor city council maybe even some people in the city themselves. Seeing the potential of this type of amusement park type festival. I think this makes sense because it explains everything. The hatred for Henry the sudden Moon circus type. Why fall fest even matters in the first place. It's the origin but it's an accidental origin. Fazbear entertainment was never supposed to be. But due to fate it did through the people around them.
For miss Anton’s age, she could also be using remnant to prolong her own life, like we saw with Michael. Also could Michael have become the CEO? Maybe he needs remnant to stay alive. It would explain his room hidden in the pizzaplex.
20+ year gaps are still common even today. It's less about women being treated as property and older men being veiwed as sexy/a better partner to woman. there actualy a few studies showing men are veiwed as more desirable in the late 40s early 50s, with Women in the early to mid 20s(for women it also comes down to the ability to have kids and early 20s are the best time for the women, physically and fertility wise). which is also why there's always been a tend to date 20-something women while most women tend to date older guys. Women also dating older men is an evelution development, as older men have proven the can survive the dangers the world can throw at them and provide for a family.
My issue with a greedy CEO cutting corners being the head of Fazbear is the VANNI masks. Both Ruin and Help Wanted 2 imply these masks were actually used by technicians to repair the pizzaplex, but the tech is far too advanced from what we’ve already seen in the series to have been just leftovers lying around while also being too advanced and most likely pricey for if your goal is cutting corners to make a profit.
i always will love just the "company bad" theories in why some things in fazbear entertainment are just shoddy & weird. it's not always a ghost or evil presence. it's corporate greed ON TOP OF all the supernatural stuff. so it's just bad on top of bad. & similar stuff happens irl. companies love making gross, inhumane, & dangerous risks just to cut corners to make money. it's a surreal, meta type of horror & i love it

About Gregbot, while I do acknowledge that there's a lack of specific, direct, and CONCRETE evidence pointing to Gregory being a robot, I just think there's a lot of robot people stuff being implied throughout this franchise right now. More than him being a direct robotic recreation of the crying child, I suspect he's a real kid that was vetted for some level of similarity to CC (if CC is involved at all. It feels like there's narrative threads connecting both Vanessa and Gregory to Elizabeth and the crying child, but I could just be stupid), kidnapped, killed, and then replaced with a robotic recreation of himself that was programmed to be loyal to glitch trap. Honestly, I suspect that may be how becoming a servant to glitch trap may work in general. They're not brainwashed perse, more just "stuffed into a robot" that can be manipulated by glitch trap. Not too dissimilar to the control displayed by Afton over the animatronics (and by extension souls) in the fnaf movie and over the glamrocks in security breach during the burn trap fight. I think he may just be able to control things that are within the mimic network, and beating the arcade machines might just separate you from the main network. All of this is of course just conjecture, but it's an idea nonetheless
I don't think "broken" was chosen to describe Gregory due to censorship. I've always found that theory kinda silly. They could have said "hurt" or "injured". Make no mistake, it's still not necessarily a hint toward Gregory being a robot. Could be a meaningless callback in the same vein as the Mr. Hippo magnet. Not really meant to be clue for anything just a little 'hehe it's the thing from before. I remember the thing.' Or like Rye said, they may have just done it as a cute thing for Freddy to say. I'm going to be honest saying "glamrock Freddy over time became sentient" is a fairly out there take. its more an illusion that have become more life like in the same vain of chat GPT. Glamrock Freddy simply has much more data that in can pull from to make more appropriate decisions making him more life like.
The idea they took parts from the og characters to repair the toys is like what!!??!! did they not notice any dead bodies when they were taking parts or did someone find the bodies, not say anything and remove and dispose of them?
So we know that Cassie gets implanted with a chip from the vannie mask when she goes to try and save Gregory and it makes it so that you get a heads up display even without the mask. What if Gregory's glitching vision comes from that chip and he had attempted to damage or remove it, hence Freddy telling him in the beginning "your hurt" he only partially succeeded

I suspect that Gregory's backstory wasn't set in stone in Security Breech. That there was a few options with potential hints and "Gregory is a robbot" was one of them that was scraped based the backlash to the theory. Scot Coffing's there is only one recon statement only makes sense to me if he leaves options open (because alot of people don't see that as a recon) and picks one later because the games sure seem to have pivoted more than once.
MY FNAF FALL FESTIVAL THEORY I have one theory about fall fest the first one is it's a prequel game. That shows us the real startup date of fazbear entertainment. Along with showing us the first death in the series. My theory is that Fall fest was a joint venture. It wasn't fazbear entertainment just yet. It was the blueprint of how a mostly animatronic. restaurant amventure could be for the future. I believe the designs of baby and the fun time animatronics sun and moon. Along with the balloon boy variants. Were williams actual first designs for this concept. That got put on shelf along with the cloth costumes. After fall fest burnt down due to one of Henry's animatronics. My theory is that this was one of the straws. That broke the camel's back in William. He already didn't like Henry. Along with now their first big venture into this fazbear idea blows up. Probably causing distrust in the community. For this type of restaurant an idea. which I also believe may prove that fazbear entertainment. Wasn't Henry's idea in the beginning. I believe it was actually afton's initial concept and ideas. That peaked Henry's interest into doing this first experiment. With fall fest or another part of this idea. could be fall fest with a side project idea. That was tested in 1977 to see if the concert worked. Either or gets you to the same result. William remembering from all those years in the past. Pushes him to kill Henry's daughter out of revenge. Of the recent and past failures underneath the fazbear brand throughout the years. You wouldn't just explain the slaughter it would explain his whole motive. In the earlier timeline of fazbear entertainment. It could also show that William thought Henry was vain. think about after the first set of murders. The suspension of William killing them. Henry taking it into his hands to push acting out. May have pushed him even further. Because he's saying I started this idea and brought you on. It's not the other way around showing us. That William never thought of this venture as a 50/50 split. He always thought of it being his own alone and he didn't really want Henry there. So he just allowed him to be there to think he important
Personally until it’s officially confirmed who’s in charge I’m just gonna say that phone dude is the current CEO of fazbear entertainment, my main reason for this is because in fnaf 3 phone dude seems very enthusiastic and passionate about the fazbear frights horror attraction and he seems to like finding old memorabilia belonging to the company, and maybe after his horror attraction burned down he wanted a way to start over so maybe after the fnaf 6 fire at some point phone dude managed to restart/rebrand the company and become CEO, perhaps at some point he also learned about the mimic1 programming and glitchtrap and decided to help him out in his plan, he may have even been the one to send the old crust board and animatronic parts to silver parasol to make the Freddy fazbear virtual experience, so that would make them a sinister follower of glitchtrap and a greedy businessman. I also agree with Mrs Afton not being the CEO, mainly because I feel like she would be someone who’s trying to stop the company and put the past behind her and just move on.
My biggest gripe with the whole “Mrs afton theory” is plain and simple: if they are divorced, why would she get his stuff? Why would she receive letters and bills *if they are divorced*?!? That’s the whole point of it! You could argue that they maybe were just separated but on what basis? It has always bugged me that they dragged this woman, who never played an active role in either the games nor the books (and not even the movie!), into this position, while even if you want to put your tinfoil hat on, Michael who mysteriously survived, or Charlie’s twin whose name I forgot would be more likely. True personality and being similar to Voldemort and Harry Potter. The problem that happened. Is that each one of these components became self-aware. Which took at part of Williams real life soul with them. I believe burnt traps original plan. What's the combine his soul in essence with the AI of glitch trap. Then the body of the mimic. To come back into reality in the real world. My other idea is that he was supposed to come up with. A human body which we see and help wanted. But it didn't pan out due to that body killing itself. Which made it harder to finish his plan which is to come back into our world. Now the problem is there are three Williams. Who have their own agendas and goals from the original one. This would make all the inconsistencies. In these modern stories make sense. There's three Williams with three ideas. Merging onto one others idea then the next ones idea. Because each one of them is trying to do what they believe. William would do in that position.
A scary/dark thought I had of the ggy story is what if Gregory was just naturally evil and free willed through the story and the patient 46 therapy sessions, and what if he was the one in control of everything, but he somehow loses his memory and that’s why he turns good.
A lot of people accept that Clara is analogous of Mrs. Afton. There's a pronounced age gap between her and Vlad. We also don't know that she was the *first* Mrs. Afton... And that's all I'll say about that.
My one problem with “Corrupted corporate” is the fact that he sent the hard-rive to the game studio but some one who we still don’t know who or why they took it, and it is yet to resurface at this point in time. But it is a logical thought process. And sadly all my suspects for this piece of evidence can’t line up. Jeremy: where would Glitchtrap even hide the circuit boards and why? Gregory: at this point in time glitchtrap should be contained, how does Gregory become a follower before the missing circuit boards? Vanessa: the circuit boards went missing before she was beta testing. Tape girl: iffy but it was not under her own militia if so and thus falls into the same problem as Jeremy. Fazbear entertainment: ok their shady but will they legit just sneak into a game studio and steal their own property rather then requesting it back? Why not steal the entire game, why only the circuit boards? Just a bit of food for thought when it comes to the corrupted corporate.
I never really disliked the whole Mrs afton theory, buts that’s all it should’ve been: a theory for an individual video. I don’t think matpat should’ve included such an unsubstantiated theory in what he labeled as the “ultimate timeline” which was meant to be definitive. The fact that he threw in such a speculative theory in when most of the timeline was supposed to be close to being objective just felt wrong.

One of the basic rules of storytelling is "don't judge your characters". Whatever a character does, no matter how messed up, has to make sense to them. If your reasoning is "they're just crazy" then you're doing it wrong. That's why I think William needs a motivation. He doesn't need to be sympathetic, but he can't start killing only because the plot demands it. That's bad writing.
WHY THE MISSING CHILDREN INCIDENT HAPPEN THEORY My theory is simple William hates fazbear entertainment now. My reasoning on why people do what he do. It's simply out of spite for Henry and everybody who helped create that legacy. He's outshine and outsmarted by a man he hates. His life starts to fall apart because of the restaurant. People start looking at the restaurant not because of him but because of Henry. The reason why he kills the children is to taint Henry's name. That joint restaurant wasn't his idea. It was a Henry idea with Henry's ideas. It brought up inadequacies within himself. It brought up pain due to losing his son his daughter to it. It takes his life eventually it makes him lose his wife. Williams story in my opinion is a man who was decent in the beginning. Maybe even good to a certain point. to a spiteful jealous psychotic science driven monster. Because he can't accept his inadequacies. That he's not the smartest person at the restaurant. That he's not really good at the restaurant business. But he can't accept that failure after failure. Push this man further and further to the darkness. Problem after problem push them further and further. He hates that restaurant because he wasn't the one. To make it successful to make it work. That half of it was him but the other half had to be Henry. The man he hates the man who stole his ideas. Is now his partner in this restaurant business. not just that has the nerve to have a living daughter at the time. While his son is fighting for his life in a hospital why does he deserve all these things. Henry doesn't deserve to be happy he's a deserves misery. William is trying to bring back his family and get revenge on the men he believes. Help take all that away from him.
Another point against the idea of age being an issue for mrs. afton is the regenerative properties of remnant - immortality was the goal, so it's not unreasonable for lifespan extension to be found along the way.
I wouldn't watch a Shipwrecked64 video for the sole reason that I think it's amazing and want to play/find lore myself when I actually have the time to do so.

For the MoltenMCI dilemma, is possible that the Ghost and the Remnant are separeted, where the Ghosts after Follow Me are freed and the Remnent remain in the Funtimes. Like, we know from the first trilogy that Circus Baby is possessed by the Remnant of Elisabeth but don't have her Ghost.

While I don't personally love the idea of Glamrock Freddy being possessed, it's too difficult for me to deny at least at this point. I have yet to think of another reasonable interpretation of the line "My friends are here. They are so angry. But I can protect you." (I may not have quoted it perfectly but you know what I'm talking about.) That line is right before you can descend down the hole, which you can only do without being killed by the tangle if you are in Freddy. The ones Freddy can protect you from are the tangle so the tangle are the friends he refers to.
You could say that Gregory gets that visual infection because he's worn the vanity mask before and has it messing with his vision like the little chip that Cassie gets at the beginning of ruin from the mask which we know for a fact can mess with ones sight

Though now he's likely seen the holy Grail of lore 😂 Mrs. Afton also doesn't make sense if willy was kicked out of fazent since somewhere between the mci and right before fnaf2. Unless he was pulling some weird undercover boss, planting himself as a night guard and then day guard doesn't really scream that he's still in a high position :V

How many things are the spirits able to possess? Like is there a certain number that their soul can take? I can't think of an example of a spirit possessing a completely new entity after the original animatronic. Like ennard and scrap baby still have parts of the original baby right? And if Michael is already possessing himself after being scooped then would he be able to possess glamrock freddy? Unless they scooped him again and stuffed the possession parts into freddy somhow? Idk. It's just a thing that's just always bothered me about that whole theory.
Hey RyeToast, my email isn't working so I'm going to have to put my question on here and hope you see it as I'm either being daft or I've noticed something no one else has spoken about yet. In FNAF 4, we see Elizabeth's bedroom and she has a BED not a crib. Meaning she would have to have been at least over the age of 18 months or older, so would be present during this time and it may even explain her absence and help with the ordering of the timeline. What are your thoughts on this?
I think the first GT vid I watched was this really boring one about why the pipes in Mario are green, regardless I checked out his channel to find Significantly more entertaining videos. It’s just always stuck in my head the first vid I watched of his for some reason despite the video being kinda old when I watched it. But he sold like 11 year old me on some algae causing the pipes to be green or something. 😂😂
WHY HENRY AND WILLIAM BOTH STARTED FALL FEST ALONG WITH HOW THEY MET THEORY My theory on how william and henry met and why fall that's so important. Not only do I believe fall fest was a forced collaboration by a city council or mayor. It's the reason why Afton hates Henry so much. If he had a part to creating those animatronics. Like sun and moon and all those circus things ones. It could be looked as jealousy by Afton. Saying that Henry is trying to overshadow him again. By them being forced to do this joint venture. Which would make it the first event of this timeline. By showing us that the fnaf corporation was truly accidental. The only reason why it came to be. Is because it was a forced venture by the towns or cities. Mayor city council maybe even some people in the city themselves. Seeing the potential of this type of amusement park type festival. I think this makes sense because it explains everything. The hatred for Henry the sudden Moon circus type. Why fall fest even matters in the first place. It's the origin but it's an accidental origin. Fazbear entertainment was never supposed to be. But due to fate it did through the people around them.
The one part for me personally that makes me 1000% disagree with the Ms. Afton theory is that Michael is in his teens, he might be adopted but i dunno.
