@@lilyoquendo3485 Would it be better to travel and stay at casa particular? So the money goes directly to the people?
@lilyoquendo3485
@lilyoquendo3485 Год назад
Hello. You asked whether it was better to stay en una casa particular. Honestly, no. We need international advocates condemning the human rights abuses. We need absolutely no money going into Cuba. Because every bit of your dollars goes back to the state. There has been some gains as the tourism has dropped in the las year especially since July 11, 2021 when almost all Cubans came out in mass to shout for Liberty and democracy. What works, and gets us a little closer to getting rid of these criminals in power is to squeeze them more. So, no travel to Cuba please.
@ififif2022
@ififif2022 Год назад
@@carolinecoxfilm The only market existing in Cuba belongs to the Cuban Communist Party. All the money spent at that market serves only to enrich the PCC paying them with many times the real value of the products. Casa particular buys there too. This does not contribute to the development of the country but rather to finance the repression against the Cuban people and to maintain the dictatorship. If someone wishes to help Cubans, I do not recommend them traveling to Cuba now, when there are more than 1000 political prisoners. Casa particular will not do better either if the dictatorship continues. Everyone is free to decide whether to go or not to go, for sure, but it's always wiser to really know what this tourism means.

The US need to end the blockade.
@Matthew-gz4oh
@Matthew-gz4oh 2 года назад
The blockade is great! We have the same on N. Korea, Iran, and Venezuela and now Russia to some degree. The USA is not the world, as Cuba does have the entire world less USA
@Zenopsis
@Zenopsis Год назад
@Matthew the blockade is bad mostly because it gives the Cuban regime an excuse for the poverty it imposes on its own people. By blaming any and all problems on "American imperialism", Cuba can de-legitimize any calls for liberalization, and also provides an easily repeatable piece of propaganda that foreign apologists can use to deflect criticisms of human rights violations in Cuba by framing Cuba as an innocent victim of aggression
@Matthew-gz4oh
@Matthew-gz4oh Год назад
@@Zenopsis There is no blockade on Cuba. There is a law preventing American business or citizens from doing business there. They can trade freely with the rest of the world. Blockade de-notes something that is factually inaccurate. We have much the same on Venezuela, Iran and North Korea in a similar manner.
@Zenopsis
@Zenopsis Год назад
@Matthew yes, you are correct. The United States does not "blockade" Cuba, it imposes a trade embargo which makes it illegal for US companies to do business with Cuba. I only referred to this policy as "the blockade" since you referred to it as such, as does the Cuban government. My point was that if the United States were to end the embargo, it would have a negligible to slightly positive effect on the Cuban economy, while increasing the political pressure on the Cuban government, since they and their apologists would no longer be able to justify Cuba's economic shortcomings as a consequence of "the blockade".

One thing you should know.. To visit Cuba, you will have to basically tell the Department of State in the U.S. the reason you are going. Your name will go on a list.... It's not a serious thing, but nevertheless, your name is on a list. The U.S. points it's finger at the former Eastern Europe countries that forbade it's citizens from leaving the country.. In this situation between the U.S. and Cuba, it's not much difference.. You see, the U.S. is a facade of freedom.. They claim to offer the most freedom in the world, but in truth, not so much...

I believe there are a few prisoners held by the U.S. in Guantanamo for decades now without a trial.. Tens of thousands of have killed by the U.S. and it's military just in the past decade. Assassinations conducted on orders by the White House on bogus charges. An illegal invasion of Iraq on false charges that Iraq had stockpiles of chemical and possible nuclear weapons. CIA operatives in Venezuela illegally blowing up electrical power stations in order to topple the government.. You see, the U.S. says it's for peace, but maybe not so much.. Like the American people, they often have a fake smile on their face and put a dagger in your back.. I'm sure one of those people too! Those 1000 Cuban citizens should be put in prison.. They're traders to the revolution.. Better yet, send them to the U.S. Now, go yourself!

Did you live as a regular people in Cuba 🇨🇺? I doubt it! That’s why your experience was “great” for the rest of the Cuban people isn’t an easy thing. I lived there 30 years of my life until I had the chance to scape. At least in the USA 🇺🇸 black people have the same opportunities as long as they work … in Cuba black and white people have the same fate; poverty and repression… socialism doesn’t work, two years living in Venezuela was the confirmation of that… I hope the Americans don’t embrace socialism because it will be the ruin of this beautiful and most prosperous country on earth. In Cuba for the tourist people everything looks perfect, but that’s the cover of a very sad truth behind of that tropical paradise…

As an African-American I was treated with more respect and kindness in Cuba than I did in America. You Cubans that fled Cuba are under the delusions that you are going to return to Cuba and Cuba will return to the pre-1959 era while America has brainwashed you, you are never going to return to Cuba and retain your superiority positions of power. Stay in the United States with all your whining moaning bitching and crying were you are comfortable playing the victim card. You arrogant Cubans in Miami are going to tell us African-Americans about our struggles in America you don't have the right to tell us a damn thing you Cubans had the best immigration policy of the United States if you set foot in America you got to stay in the United States you are not special you are just another useful tool of the power elite in America and are too stupid to figure it out take your arrogance and not preach to African-Americans that have been suffering for centuries in the United States.

The embargo really prevents them from getting food, gas, goods and resources to rebuild, or create things so there forced to recycle and reuse and share and ration many things. Life in cuba is hard mainly because they can’t get anything or trade with the outside so there limited and have shortages of many things. It’s hard, they can’t replace things fast enough because of the emabargo. Iran tried sending over 4 giant oil tankers for them and American ships swooped in seized it and sent it to private oil groups in the states. We have the nation surrounded and punish those who try to help them. Cuba faces many issues because of us. some people just don’t care for the politics or understand and just wanna have things so they flee and come here knowing it will be easier and over there it’s almost impossible to get. @@ififif2022 cuba isn’t communist either, they have a state capitalist economy with lots of social programs run by socialist and communist affiliated politicians. Socialism is cooperative and collective ownership, pure democracy. If the people don’t control and own it, it isn’t socialist.. you need to understand Leninism to understand cuba. Also Communism is stateless, moneyless and classless. They wanna achieve this but can’t move passed the state capitalist part of there transition. Hello, May I share an Old Testament Verse with you from Daniel 7:14 "And there was given him dominion, & glory, and a Kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should SERVE Him; his dominion is an Everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." God the Father loves you so much that He sent Holy Sinless Jesus (His Holy Son) to earth to be born of a virgin.Then, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins. He was in the tomb for 3 days, then Father God raised Holy and Sinless Jesus Christ (Y'shua) to Life! He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, & unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, & immoral persons sorcerers & idolaters & all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire & brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus and put your true faith and trust in Him today and please repent. Will you have a Real encounter with Holy Lord Jesus (Y'shua is His Hebrew Name) and stay in a Genuine relationship with Him daily please?

I’m Black British and have avoided Cuba, because of the lactic freedoms and shabby infrastructure…(been to Jamaica, Caymans,Antigua and Guadeloupe)… As a Black man with money and a British passport you will be subject to scrutiny… mixed race couples will be considered as - men scammer,women prostitute… Until things change… go to a country that will truly welcome you and the locals are properly rewarded not subject to propaganda and apartheid. Oh, didn’t mention electricity shortages, lack of sanitary products and really boring food options!!!
