I got 2 early hunts in this spring. The first one was hunting a park that the city had dumped a bunch of snow in. I find some gas money. The second hunt was with Tony, where we had the chance to detect a field that we have had a lot of success in finding buttons from the early 1800's. It did not disappoint us as Tony finds an early musket ball and an early 1800's U.S. military button. @@SWWisconsinMetalDetecting Yeah, no problem. Wanted to make sure that you guys know what you have there. You might want to look into ways of sealing it up. The pewter will dry out and it will (might) start to chip, flake, and start to decay and crumble once it drys out. I'd hate to see that beauty disappear in front of your eyes. 😥 GL & HH 😎👍🏼

Do you need a permit to metal detect in Wisconsin?

You always need permission wherever you metal detect. The only permit you need to get is if you want to metal detect on state owned land here in Wisconsin.
