Jeff, I’m sure this has been said a lot but THANK YOU for being so open and truthful. I’m sure it’s hard to put yourself out there but I’m a fan. I hope you have a successful year (learn without injury). Touching on what Jerry said about having the front end down. I’ve seen some crazy pictures in one of the mags of guys coming up pretty short (in Supercross) but somehow the front soaks it up.
I watched a video of JS7 casing a quad with his bike level instead of front wheel high. Takes balls to trust the bike like that. Keep it up bro or shall I say keep it level. Be safe!
That track looks pretty intense. You have to be focused. And, each lap takes something out of you. Maybe it's a good idea to take more breaks between laps to keep your energy up. I mean after all, you're just practicing, right? Have fun but don't get hurt just having fun.
Glad your doing fine! Not the worst crash but any at that speed are super risky. Glad it went as well as it did. You can tell in the video that you didn't have as much speed as the previous laps. Also after the crash your speed was down a little and you clipped a lip or two, Overall another successful day in the JWalk Supercross story. Keep up the good work and stay in the safe zone. Braaap!
Thankfully your all good and so is the bike! Great idea to get back on it and these things happen no biggy! Thought you almost saved it! The progress is noticable from video 1 to now!
Okay supercross is so much scarier than I thought. Been watching it for twenty years and only after watching Jeff's vids has it really opened my eyes to just how treacherous it is.
100% after that stack I’m going home with my tail Between my legs and treating myself to a nice bite to eat in some form of drive through to sooth my soul. Haha
Man I saw that crash coming when you were in there air, I was like 😬 oh God here it comes! Handled it well though, at least you didn't whiskey throttle it... LOL. Good job though. Just discovered your channel yesterday, I enjoy watching these videos, keep em coming.
Good to see your ok. You look quite good out there! Does not looks like a third day of riding SX. All the best for you and kind regards from Germany 🇩🇪👋🏻
Both my wrist's are bad after like 10 years doing amateur motocross back in the day on 2 strokes. Thats just one of those things that happens over time if you race long enough. But looking good out their man keep shredding it!
SX triples are no joke. Not even possible for most amateurs and keyboard warriors. Glad you're not seriously injured; smart to call it a session if you're not 100%- SX isn't a track you can be ragged on after a fall. Get some ice and elevation on it and get back on the horse for the next session. I plan to stop by with a brief hello for the Arlington event. Keep going!
AJ Catazaro just did a breakdown video of some Stew 7 crashes. for one he said the same thing jerry said to you. land front tire just into it and you wont get such a huckabuck. keep at it man
Washed out in a ditch with my front break on. Wasn't too bad, nothing broken, but bad bruises and kinda endo'd like you. Out 3 weeks soo far. Gonna take another two weeks. And this was on a wilderness trail at 7000ft.
Man my heart was pounding leading up to the crash not knowing the outcome. You have a much bigger pair then me running those jumps and getting back out there. Hope it doesn’t get worse (wrist) 👍
Can you plz make a video on what GoPro settings you use for your riding because I use the GoPro hero 9 and my footage looks nothing like yours, your footage just has great color and it’s so crispy
Watch your clips back. Notice that your not carrying your speed through the entire corner on most of the track. The only corner you do carry your speed through is the 180 before the whoops. Don’t worry about rhythm ahead as much. Look at your head in the shadows before that triple in where you crashed. Your more worried about hitting the triple. Your squaring the corner instead of coming in wider and rolling the through the corner and carrying your momentum. I think you should take a moto day at Perris and focus on the bowl turns standing and late sitting. If you start carrying more speed through the entire corner you'll get a-lot more comfortable in the rhythms.
I agree, for me personally I always start with singles to learn the track, then doubles and so on after a few minutes of track time I feel loose and completely comfortable. What he does with going off then coming back on and putting around until the section he crashed on. You have to build momentum. JWalk is doing great though. Just keep laying down the laps, keep growing those wings!
Great SX progression in a few days. The best pro's in the world case jumps. Some over time develop the skills to ride it out, but there are times when bike setup and many other factors come into play and saving it just wont happen. Ignore the nay sayers and non riders. Keep at it.
There is that moment . . . . after the cobwebs clear . . . that you realize this injury is a bit more serious than you thought . . you were riding really good until the case job though . . .
I've had many injuries in the sports I have played and if you lose strength in you hand like you did that normally means you have a fracture or some form of damage.
I hate that feeling after a crash when you refuse to accept the fact that you got hurt and you try to do normal things like adjusting the lever with the hurt wrist. Like "No it can't be hurt" lol just cause you know it's going to be sore AF for the next 1-2 weeks :( But I've learned that if you imply ICE immediately and consistently the recovery time is significantly better. Heal up quick man.
