I love bun Bo hue, one of my favorites. My maternal grandma (not of Viet origin) was born in Vietnam and she would make that for us often. Thanks for this video, Pat!

My favorite Cambodian dessert is Baing Genuet. The dessert with the ice added I'm not a big fan of either. The ice will dilute the sweetness of the dessert once it becomes melted.

It's actually the point haha. We don't just put ice into the dessert to cool it, but to dilute the sweetness as well. Vietnamese desserts are not supposed to be too sweet. That's why those that are supposed to eat with ice will be made sweeter than desserts that are enjoyed hot or at room temperature.

You should go to Da lat and other Cities. There so much to explore and eat! Vietnam is so cheap! 10,000 Vietnamese dong is like 41 cents in US dollars. keep it up. You should also try the Vietnamese egg coffee at Giang Cafe: The one and only birthplace of egg coffee, located at No. 39, Nguyen Huu Huan street, Hoan Kiem district.

My favourite part about bun bo hue is pronouncing the Huế . The pronounciation is so fun it hoes up down and then up so bun up bo down and hue up Right now i am in Hue and maybe eat bun bo for breakfast or as locals say eat something better hahaha

That's a tough call...the Khmer noodles in Kompong Cham are off the hook! ...and then there's a Vietnamese noodle lady next to Boeung Trabek Plaza at St 105 & St 456 that is amazing!
