I got my first pair of carbon fiber KAFOs made by the Phat brace company! Thanks to my orthotist Rob for making sure they fit good. I can't wait to see what I can do in them!
hance wha is the name of the knee joint locks on your new KAFO's? I want the same for my new KAFO's ? I dont lke velcro so I always ask for leather straps with silver metal buckles .
@@SuperChanceKern I wear them and I've asked to stick with the old time metal and leather ones. They gave me a plastic AFO and it was horrible. You can wear the KAFOs all day and not really notice.
@@RobertShaw-fl3os Mine have never been sophisticated enough to be cast! Tape measure round the relevant bits was all I got. Surprisingly comfortable. Actually, they change shape of their own accord after a period and seem to accommodate to your stance.
@@SuperChanceKern They do seem to use you as a test bed for their ideas. The basic ones do seem best. Mine don't even have knee joints, as I find them unreliable.
