My First Cat 3 Crit - Mountbatten Circuit Race 

After my recent upgrade to 3rd cat, it was time to jump straight in and take on my first 3rd cat crit! This week saw me take on the Mountbatten circuit races, on a Wednesday evening in Portsmouth.
It's a very similar circuit to the Preston Park circuit races I had been taking part in recently but with a slightly shorter race length. The shorter race length no doubt meant it was going to be a full gas crit race, with plenty of attacks and it didn't disappoint.
The step up in speed and power required to cover attacks and keep up from 4th cat to 3rd was a big jump. I have plenty of work to do and lot more crit racing to tackle, but I hope you enjoyed the video.
