Guys this was my first impressions video and it was raining! Just wait until the following videos, you'll be impressed by how lively the streets are! 🙏🏻🇧🇳❤️
Welcome to #Brunei 🇧🇳 Chris ✅ I saw your posting in FB recently and yeah... I agree with you... Many misconceptions by "bad people" and influencers in the past... but you corrected everything! Thanks man 👍🏻 Travel is about exploring... To learn and to engage... Cut the hype and be more realistic... You're the man! Keep the good #vibes and great videos coming okay... Cheers 🍻
If you were talking about Drew then im certain it was due to his personal experience at the mosque. No reason to talk bad about the whole country of course. At least he gave Brunei a second chance and enjoyed it. Looks from your perspective like a very nice quiet and peaceful place. Keep up the good work!
Drew went here again but it doesn't seem like he genuinely had a good time. He needs to stay here for extra few days to experience more great things just like Chris.
@@richardnuevoyeah after basically shaming a whole country because his feelings got hurt. What a diva. Chris did nothing wrong in calling him out, at least Chris didn't name dropped him.
Brunei seems like such a lovely place. Personally I love peaceful and clean spaces. I believe visiting would be great after the hustle and bustle of my city. I look forward to see more as you go along. Thanks again for taking us. Be well❤
What’s good chris, I love how you being such open minded about the country. RU-vidrs like you guys really makes the country more recognisable to the eyes of the world. Appreciate the love my man, humble to be a bruneian.
OMG YOU'RE IN BRUNEI??!!! WELCOME TO OUR COUNTRY, HOPE TO MEET YOU HERE 😍 staaaay safe, we hope you enjoy your stay here and please drink enough water. as our weather is pretty hot and raining lately.
Brunei 🇧🇳 it’s actually my dream country as myself Muslim woman I love being peaceful place no alcohol no smoking 🚭 no Haram thing I love it Insha Allah one day I will be in Brunei 🇧🇳
Brunei looks so beautiful peaceful and looking forward to seeing the sights in your future videos! Fun Fact: Brunei dollar is the same value as Singapore dollar! you can use the currency in either 2 countries. I love how positive your videos are! Keep it up!
Borneo is pronounced as ‘bor-nyo’ One of the possible reasons why Bandar was quiet, maybe because you probably visited when it was during the school holidays. We Bruneians love to travel during that period. Or since you mentioned about the flags being up, I think you were here during His Majesty’s birthday. We put up the flags to commemorate his birthday month. I’m gonna stalk your videos for a while 😂 thank you for appreciating Brunei. I would love to see you around in Brunei again. Wish I had known about you sooner.
I saw your story that you were in Brunei! Wish I could’ve brought your around! 🥲 But very very excited to see this series. I’m glad that you went during His Majesty’s birthday as it’s more happening than normal days. Hope you’ll have a longer stay next time! ❤
There's more activities and flags/banners/street decor around, as it is July is the Sultan's birthday month. Its great that you focus on taking time to explore and appreciate what the country has to offer. Some tourist come with preconceived ideas and get disappointed when they realized the reality doesn't match up to their initial hopes. They have missed out on what was infront of their eyes, when they focus on finding what was not available in the first place.
I'm currently living in Manila at the moment. When that long typhoon hit, good thing I was traveling in Indochina. The route that you took from Bangkok to Siem Reap. Keep up the good work, sir.
Hello Chris, wow can't believe it you here Brunei, welcome to our country bro, I love all ur videos and yet can't believe ure here. Sorry the transportation here Brunei is so expensive. While ure here Brunei you can try local famous dishes. Here Brunei we love to eat *Nasi Katok* and you should try nasi katok MAMA or nasi katok LILY. My favorite, u should go try, and don't forget to eat *ambuyat* at amniah arif restaurant. Not to forget try *Soto pabo* many tourists also went there to eat, river view 🎉🎉
I lived in Brunei years ago and it's a lovely although quiet place. Go eat ambuyat, a local delicacy, at Restaurant Tarindak D'Seni with a view of the river. The sushi at Kaizen also on the waterfront is excellent. Go to the pasar malam (night markets) ... Fresh coconut and sugarcane juice, lots of amazing street food ... Oh and of course the local fast food, RBC chicken.
OMG Chris you’re here in Brunei…. I’m so happy… been following your travel videos … to see you actually made it here is awesome.. Wished I could bring both of you around but i bet by this video is out you’re off to a different destination. Hope to meet you both in a different county when I travel. Thank you Chris for visiting Brunei and hope you enjoyed your stay.
If you are in Brunei you should definitely go take a look at the beaches in Empire and go on the cruise ship on Brunei River! Have a good stay and be safe ❤
@@KinssyDaisy Did you read my original comment right? Sorry but I'm not sure what you meant since I specifically mentioned THE BEACHES in Empire and not Empire Hotel itself
Hi Chris! Since you in Brunei, why not have a stop in Kota Kinabalu. It's only like half an hour flight. Here in KK it's definitely a touristy place with beautiful beaches/islands and cheap delicious seafoods. Please come if you can - I believe it's definitely worth it.
Please do not miss 3 things when you are in Brunei: 1. Try local food called Nasi Katok 2. Go to Empire Hotel (15 mins drive from BSB) 3. Go to Temburong to see dense rainforest
Hi Chris l just saw your video. We love your beautiful and pleasurable comments and everywords you say about Brunei. A big miss not meet while you are here. You hv a big heart. We love you
Good pick for a country to visit. I don't think I can pick out Brunei on a map until you said where it is. But damn flying into Brunei on a PJ is something else 😅
Welcome to Brunei chris... You can go to 'Pasar Gadong' and have a street food market everyday starting around 4pm until 10pm. The foods starting $1 brunei dollar and so many choices. Have a great time in Brunei Chris :) p/s Try our 'Nasi katok' (Rice+chicken with sambal) its our favourite dish in Brunei.
I'm from indonesia. 🥰
Are these two just friends or are they lovers? I just discovered the channel this weekend, but I have watched dozens of his videos in that time and I see this adorable women in many of them. Put a WRANG on that 1 Chris! Love what you do!
Part of promoting tourism in any country is the cultural dance events. Perhaps you can ask the locals, where such events are held for tourists to film and, or participate in legally.
Drew did the same with Guyana as with he done to Brunei. He has however went back to both to give them another chance. Its Drews speciality it seems😂 His latest one going back to Brunei he did get confronted about his video 7 years ago though hahahah. Love the content Chris though. keep levelling up bro!!!!
Hello there! Welcome to Brunei. Hope that you are having fun. And thank you for sharing this wonderful video and all the good comments on this great country.
Hi Chris! I’ve enjoyed watching your videos about these places. Would you be willing to give some advise about a day trip here? We are stopping on our cruise there for the day and I want to explore without taking a “tour”. Would love to go to do a mangrove tour and walk around. Seems easy enough right? Take taxi’s if needed? Bus around? Thanks for your advise!
I went here about 15 years ago and liked it. Had a fun night drinking with the uS special services guys on their way to do some work for the HK government.
The Sultan had just celebrated his birthday 🎂 😁 Your pronunciation is correct ✅ Bandar means "City" Seri mean "beautiful" Begawan means "name of the present Sultan's father" So it will be written as the Beautiful City of late Sultan (King)....
I think you came during his Majesty Birthday Celebration that explained all the flag.Yes Brunei Darussalam is small but at least it’s the most peaceful country.
Welcome to Brunei Chris, enjoy staying at our country, you suppose came in July Chris. Every year we celebrate our His Majesty birthday celebration on July 15.
Been following your trips around the world. I’m actually from here... Brunei. Thank you for sharing all the wonderful video. Do pay a visit to Seria Oil Town.
Welcome to Brunei Chris & Galadis.. hope u enjoy your stay.. Not much but enjoy the moment, calm and peaceful of our country.. Great positive energy you have.. btw the one you didnt mention🤫 he returned back and amaze with the hospitality he get.. someone noticed him and know what, that person even say hi and welcome him.. 😂
I never knew this country existed !!! Now I’m mad !!! I was always the young kid looking at my map during my breakfast and dinner and I didn’t see this country. Fuck my map lol This is why I watch you because your videos are awesome with traveling to all countries.
If you're currently still in Brunei, we'd be delighted to have you visit our cafe that you mentioned in your video at the 5:54 mark. Have a great time for the remainder of your trip!
His vlog was based on how he was treated, he also did another vlog in Brunei where he was treated better from his first time, you need to put it into context
Why? Drew never bothered to put it into context until he made that second video. His first video basically boils down to "I hate this country because someone was mean to me and I can't do everything as I please".
I dont know where have you been in the Philippines but i disagree about the hardness to cross the streets. Perhaps in the place where you visited but its not the case with other cities and regions.
Hi Hey Chris very quick question WHY DO YOU ALWAYS MAKE GLADYS WALK ON THE SIDE OF THE STREET? I ALWAYS MAKE MY FAMILY OR FRIENDS WALK ON THE OTHER SIDE FOR SAFETY I SAY
Curious why you didn't mention "that creator" made a second video where he had a totally different experience than his first. A Malaysian friend of mine told me that nobody goes to Brunei though because it's too boring. Personally, I think it looks like a decent spot for a family trip. I just think most people traveling SE Asia are looking for drinking and partying...which they're obviously not going to get in Brunei.
Yep. It's quite boring. But i find it peaceful and fit for my personality as an introvert lol .. The recreational activities are the most popular thing to do in Brunei .. It's not really much of family trip to take a break doing see sighting ... Also, I don't think "nobody" going to Brunei is true. It's quite unpopular fact for SEA stars to hid in Brunei during their vacations 😭 I don't remember the name, but he's one of famous indonesian emcee and was caught visiting Brunei multiple times.
You didn't understand what I was saying..... yes he came back, but that video sat on the internet for 4 years and generated millions of views, which stopped millions from coming to visit.
