As much as I know, Maithili is a official language in Nepal and many of us in Bihar speak Maithili. It goes back to the Ramayan days. Maa Sita tah Sitamarhi mein zameen mahein nikal lathin. Okra baad Nepal mein paalan poshan bhelai. So, we can obviously understand each-others language to a good extent.

No bro. Official language is nepali and only some people from terai region knows maithili . Newari, tamang, magar are other language most spoken in this country . You can’t understand nepal simple. Talking about the food, Momos are super famous here, you can find momo shop in every corner of kathmandu valley. Goddess Kumari is one and only living goddess in the entire world. the procedure for becoming goddess is too complicated and no once can become goddess like we do newratra. There are some protocols regarding the selection of the goddess.
