I'm watching this on Sept. 16, 2023, and you've already got 1,000 "likes." Eleven minutes into the video, I'd like to know how much that hotel room cost in American Dollars, and which European language you think is most useful useful in traveling there. (I'm guessing that the Russian influence may still be fairly strong here. Is that right?) Good Luck!
there are great hotels for about 50-100 dollars a night. in terms of European language, not so much. Even English is fairly difficult there. Actually, Korean might be good because there's a lot of them there.@@519djw6
I was extremely surprised to see the city looking so modern. Also there were so many signs in English, possibly to make travel easier in the future. I particularly liked the delivery car for "Best Pizza." Aside from the wonderful looking meal you had at the hotel I would love to sample the best pizza.
I am deeply appreciative of your endeavor to present my country, Mongolia, in a favorable light, and I extend my gratitude for your efforts in this regard.
Jason this was an amazing tour of Mongolia. Thanks for taking us there. We look forward to watching more. Fascinating, and interesting how many parts of the world look similar to others. The neighborhood your first hotel stay was in looked similar to parts of Detroit, Michigan (USA) that I am familiar. Wonderful to see the monetary and the surrounding scenery. Awesome 😊
Love the content! Always cool to see where I hung out as a kid. Just to clarify about nationality... Mongolia and China are different nations. They have their own distinct identities and aren't the same in terms of nationality (also historically and culturally). Thank you again!
I love how much historical information you include in your videos. Makes for much more informed travelers. I watch another documentary on the Soviet Union and the residential communes were exactly the same. The apartment buildings make a square with the courtyard in the middle. And always a supermarket and pharmacy nearby. Nice to see how those plans were adopted throughout the USSR
As a Mongolian, I would say the historical information wasn't very accurate. Although I appreciate that he had read and tried to include the history, but it was like he read one article from Google.
Hi Jason! You're right, Padme Amidala's costume was based on a traditional Mongolian woman's look! I'm enjoying your Mongolia video so far. I'm from the Philippines, but I went there in 2015 to attend a youth form + some sightseeing. Missing Mongolia!
Ok , Jason , I had to look up EXACTLY where Mongolia was on a map. 😊. Beautiful place! Looking forward to more and especially love when you engage with locals. You're the best at that!🎯💯🥇🏆
One major blunder to correct. It was not last China's dynasty. It was Manchu dynasty. Totally different nation than Chinese linguistically, historically and culturally. Both Mongolia and China were colonies of Manchu Qing dynasty. Unfortunately, Chinese propagandists these days still claim this false propaganda just to acquit the existence their current colonial empire.
Hi Jason good to see you back and a big surprise being in Mongolia. A place where it seems so remote but with so much beauty and cultural value. Thank you again and I look forward to your next videos. Cheers
Looking forward to this series! Mongolia has been on my travel wishlist for a long time, now that it's opening up a bit more to tourism I will start planning!!!
I love that your showing this interesting and amazing place. I’d love to go there. It’s a beautiful community and the people look 👀 lovely to me. I’m Indigenous Native American and I heard a cousin of mine visits annually to support the Christian Community. He’s part Indigenous from an Arizona Tribe and half my Tribe from N. California so he probably fits right in. 😂🙆🏻♀️❤️🔥🙌🏽 I love everything about the clips you showed. Make lots of Amazing Memories while you’re there. I appreciate you sharing all of the clips of the city and countryside. 🙋🏻♀️🇺🇸❤️🔥
Less, closer to 135, probably even less, after waves of outward migration in response to the invasion of Ukraine, combat casualties, and under-reported covid mortality.
The area of flower hotel is called Sansar District or literal Space District. It was a district built around the 70s by the Soviet, and you can find few famous soviet statues inc Marshall Jukov and Flying plane statue near the Mongolian Ministry of Defence.
I am frommongolia and there are 4 groups 1.poor to move out cuz bought a car 2.too poor to buy car cuz bought nice home 3.has nice car and nice house 4.got into alcohol and now homeless(not many homeless people are out there)
When you left your hotel and showed us the buildings - I immediately thought Soviet architecture. And then you made the same comment lol Great minds think alike. Looking forward to seeing and learning more from your video series on Mongolia.
It's hard to wrap your head around the once vast Empire of Mongolia to what is now a sparsely populated Nation. Compare to its populous neighbors, it's virtually extinct, even the language script is no longer in use.
We use our traditional script. It's been 20 years since all children learned their traditional script in elementary/middle school. Also, the government has set the goal of making it an official state letter in 2025.
They have that same thing with the tag number in Colombia in Bogotá is called picoplaca it was done for another reason though it was because of the domestic terrorism inside their country years on since the 1940s, but it’s interesting that you say they have it there in Mongolia. I have a desire to go and see this country. Very interesting you know in Colombia they have the same occupation of Russian satellite state there until we started putting bases from United States over there in Colombia.. you really did a good job. I should’ve done something like this when I left Colombia .
Hey dear best wishes your youtube channel ✅ I am your big Fan i always follow your video on youtube😊 Are you looking professional RU-vid thumbnail designer at low price??
This was exactly our comment when we were there as well. There are even Prius in Gobi. I guess its because its reliable, cheap, easy to repair, and maybe strong enough for off road?
There are no import duties on used Priuses (or other hybrids). Hence the popularity. They make ip 50% of imported used vehicles. I believe this city has the highest percentage of Priuses in the world.
11:18 A vast overestimate, actually, only 150m. Don't forget the actually inhabitable part of Russia would only be the size of a few Germanys (Germanies?)
Jason I understand everything but you must eat buuzas with your hands. If you eat them with a fork it means you offend locals. Trust me. I'm from the adjacent region of Mongolia - Buryatsk region this is a part of Rússia. And don't get me wrong of course :)
