I thought it looked different! I hadn't remembered seeing trees off your balcony! Great vid!

Thank you! I am still learning. We moved suburbs, about 8km further west. This all happened Between Christmas and New Year last year.

Thank you so much. I have been monitoring them, and sadly one didn't make it. It was the teensy single leaf mutant. But the rest are bouncing back a little, and seem to be producing some new leaves.

Thank goodness there is another orchid grower making videos in Australia. I’m more likely to recognise the names & track them down here!

There are a few of us, but not many make videos. The other one you might like to check out is Matthew over at HelloPlantLovers! But he is in Melbourne, so not quite as tropical as you. Do you belong to your local Orchid Society?

I belong to Eastern Districts Orchid Club & watch Matthew plus all the worldwide RU-vid orchid videos. It’s nice to see people in my country

great vid! but how do you "flask" them? I take it you bought them?

I buy them flasked. Orchid seeds are not like other seeds, and require a nutrient rich substrate around them. Seeds in the wild are notoriously unreliable. Which is why they are grown in laboratories, in nutrient rich agar. I bought this flask from Barrita Orchids in NSW. They have the lab set up to create flasks.
