In this video I take you along with me for my first ENTYVIO Infusion. I have been getting Remicaid Infusions for years. Because my body has been having so many problems, my medical team wanted me to stop getting the Remicaid Infusions and switch to ENTYVIO Infusions to treat my Ulcerative Colitis. I really like Remicaid but my team believes my body needs a change with something that does not have as many side effects. I am willing to try something new as long as I don’t have to take steroids anymore.
ENTYVIO is a biologic medicine that is administered intravenously (IV). After a 6-week starting period, you'll receive maintenance doses every 8 week. You will receive starting doses of ENTYVIO 300 mg by infusion at weeks 0, 2 and 6. The infusion takes about 30 minutes. After you complete your starting doses, you'll get one 30-minute infusion every 8 weeks to help keep your disease under control.
