What size board do you use at Linda mar? I’m a beginner, I wouldn’t say I’m intermediate yet. I started surfing 3-4 months ago in Hawaii so I’m pretty new to it. What size board should I buy for Linda mar? Any recommendations? I wanna ride waves below 4-5 feet.
Good question brother, I have a full quiver from 9'0s, mid-lenghts (a 7'6 and 6'4 Soft Top boards), and my shorties, everything from 5'10 and under. Bigger is usually better for new surfers. Wavestorms are the most inexpensive option, but I rather put out a little bit more and get a CatchSurf long board.
I would say that was a head dip, and it was far from a barrel. That being said, as long as you’re having fun and make sure to look left before you drop in on another surfer:-)
Maybe a head dip, but where I surf at, the rarity of a barrel, and from my POV looking at a lip go over my head, the camera didn't do me any justice. Next time though, I will get barreled for sure! Let's GO!
Right at the rewind to try and show it off again, the camera doesn't do it justice. It was a super quick cover up under the lip of the wave, I knew it happened, felt it in the drop, saw it in the steepness of the wave, watched the lip of the wave over my head, and thought, this is a horrible board to be doing this with, please don't get thrashed!
I can’t see your face lol thoughs rocks always hurt me over there on that path ahah I love surfing my local spot Linda mar shitty waves sometimes lots of close outs but you become a better surfer when you gota deal with those types of environments.
