📌 NEXT I'm gonna check out WayV in the same format (two most viewed MVs), but I'm unsure how to proceed after that 🤔 would you guys prefer choosing one of the subunits and checking out some more MVs first, or a guide before getting deeper? or the sub-subunits you mentioned? also IF we're doing guides - do you prefer individual subunit guides or one for all of NCT? There's so many possibilities out there, and I'm not sure which you'd like to see (also i've watched so many subpar guides on my favs before.. pls help me avoid those 🥺)~ feel free to drop some recommendations down below! (beware though, IF we're watching a guide I'll skip all potential spoilers!)
After wayv reaction, I suggest you to react to the guides (I prefer individual guides because I think it will be so confusing for you to react to a guide for 23 members) HERE ARE THE MOST RECENT AND UPDATED ONE: - Guide to NCT 127 (Get to know them better) UPDATED 2020 - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qzZqLpravCQ.html - A guide to NCT Dream (2021) - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-amoxlkj9I3E.html - (un)HELPFUL guide to wayv l 2021 - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YFzDCaL3f-0.html
I think you should understand the unit system first because it might get more confusing later on, so knowing the unit systems and who belong in each unit before going deeper will make it a lot easier to get into their songs and concepts. There is a really good nct guide that explain nct unit system in a easy way and also some guide for the members but it was kinda old (from 2020) but still a good and recommended one to watch if you looking for a guide. Here the link if you interested (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vW_lZzt2bjg.html)
As an nctzen who her ult favorite unit is dream, I suggest you to react to Hello future and We go up or My First and Last. I think those title tracks are the ones that captures the dream essence the most.
These concepts don't really show it off but yes NCT dream are both literally younger and typically have a "younger" and "fresher" concept in comparison to NCT 127 and WayV, particularly in the earlier stages of their career. To give you an idea, the ages of NCT 127 range from being born in 1994-2000 whereas in dream it is from 1999-2002 (which is insane to think about since dream debuted in 2016 when 2 of the members were only 14). The second youngest member in NCT 127, Mark, is the oldest member in NCT dream.
17:25 he is Park Jisung, the maknae of the group and Nct as a whole and yeah he is the main dancer and he raps and also sings💚 he is the same person in Hot Sauce, the one you pointed out
12:54 he's Jisung, the youngest. He really sing well with his deep voice, I'm glad you always point out how good his vocal. If I'm not mistaken you also notice him in hot sauce at 5:35
Miss Landy, you can watch their debut song which is "chewing gum" then their latest mv, "Hello Future" to see how the NCT Dream grow vocally and visually.
17:25 yes Landy, you always point out how beautiful his vocal is. And I'm so happy because there are only some reactors who can appreciate how good his voice is 😭
you've seen haechan and mark in NCT 127 (mark was also in the NCT U boss) jaemin from NCT U make a wish you'd be shocked to see how much NCT dream changed over the years 🤣 they went from bubble pop children to edgy teenagers to now cool young adults Hot sauce was the first comeback with ot7 with mark back in the team so it was very meaningful to see all dream members reunited again BOOM was without mark when they had the graduation concept still and mark had graduated already and Haechan was promoting with 127 while preparing with dream comeback that's why he's not in some of the group dance shots 6:34 yes it was actually mark 9:43 they didn't sell the hot sauce but i really wanted it 🤣 13:06 this is jisung with the deep voice he is the maknae of all of NCT and you're right you haven't seen him before 16:07 my favorite thing about nct (or sm groups in general) is when they all sing together in a layered way mostly in the chorus parts 21:10 hot sauce is definitely a song and mv that urges you to watch and listen to it over and over again because of how interesting and new it is i feel like if you watch NCT dream's comebacks by order their concept would make more sense
Nct dream used to have a cute and fresh concept in the first 2 years because they were super young at that time. However since 2018 they had a stronger concept with each comeback as they grew older. Hot Sauce was the song they made after all the embers became adult which is 20 years in the Korean age (19 internationally)
funny enough nct dream was the last subunit i got into and now they’re my faves 🤭 17:30 yes that’s jisung (maknae of nct as a whole) who sings, raps, and dance aka ACE
I see Mark and Taeyong in literally every NCT video. Since I started following NCT from SuperM, I got to hear lots of Mark and Taeyong rap. They are very good at it. I am excited to see you will be reacting WayV next (We Are Your Vision) :)
Hallo, I subscribed to your channel after waching your 1st 2 reactions to NCT. Compliments for being honest, detailed and most of all - funny😂 ( yes, I find it quite important with reactors ). Keep up good job! Greetings from the Netherlands 😀
After doing a reaction vid on the guides, what if you watched all of their debut songs first and then from there watch their songs in order from the oldest the the newest. So that way you can see how their discography changes overtime.
First time to comment. I'm an exo-l secretly peeking at nct too and it took me a week to familiarised all 23 members with 6 of them I already know from before (superm and such) I'm rooting for U to get to know them all and love their music also. I'm really impressed with them cuz all of exo members are older than me but 90% of ncT members is younger than me so it shocked me how talented they are ..
Finally ive been waiting for this... In 6:31 it is Mark.. his a memeber of NCT Dream(leader) ,NCT 127, NCT U and SuperM. Is was born in Toronto Canada, lived in New York , Vancouver and South Korea (as a trainee).
please forgive me if there's editing mistakes in here~ due to uni assignments I couldn't start editing this until yesterday morning, so I ended up finishing cutting at 3 AM today and have only gotten 3 hrs of sleep in the last two nights each q.q I was almost falling asleep when previewing the video after finishing the edit, so if a mistake, typo or weird cut slipped in and I didn't catch it, sorryyy 🙃
You can do a reaction to their latest release for each unit or react to their debut and latest release for each unit. NCT 127 Firetruck and Favourite Dream Chewing gum and Hello Future WayV Regular and Kick Back
I’m glad to hear I’m not alone with that initial impression - it’s dangerous to have honest opinions as an outspoken fan of another group sometimes 👀 people easily take it as an attack! I find it pretty intriguing though, how they take something REALLY out there as the intro for their songs and somehow make it work in the structure of the song!
@@Landyra I was actually expecting you to be honest as possible in these videos since I know not anyone is gonna like NCTs songs and even I at first wasn't that fond of how they produce their music. And I was actually surprised you still liked Hot Sauce despite its intro being like that. As for boom I didn't like it at first BECAUSE of the intro, pretty ironic isn't it. But I came to like it too as time went by. Your journey of reacting to NCT songs will surely go in all sorts of directions with all the genre switches. But I hope it'll be a fun journey for you, cause it was honeslty the best journey as a Czennie/NCTZEN for me.
NCT songs are all about layers!!! Most of their songs, I tend to listen to the back layers because it's so soothing!! Thank you for this reaction, Landyy!!
Honestly, it may be better for you to do (individual unit) guides next before you dive deeper, so you have more of an idea who is who. Ultimately, it's up to you.
heh, did you see the pinned comment? 😅 that’s the thought progress I’m at aswell atm! Even though, tbh after a guide I’d most likely recognize one person at absolute max, if any - it would still make it slightly more likely to start recognizing a person here and there a couple weeks down the road, once some of the faces start seeming familiar 👀
SM absolutely should have created a hot sauce for Dream during this comeback. Like imagine buying an album and receiving a mini bottle of NCT Dream hot sauce with it. Ugh, lost opportunities.
Yesss LOVE THISSS!!! DREAM recently have been my ult unit, idk why but their b-sides hit different its Rnb/pop which in contrast to 127 that is Rnb/Hiphop. Idk why I resinated more towards Dream even tho I'm big on hiphop😅
NCT Dream does a lot of experimental stuff. I would suggest watching them chronologically to watch them grow up from children to grown men, but if you specifically wanted to hear their "style" then We go up and Hello future would be the ones I would recommend. Im glad that you said you liked Jeno's voice 💚💚 (Even if you dont know who he is) It made me smile 💚 (Im obviously Jeno bias) 💚💚 Thank you for reacting to the dreamies! 💚💚
Yay! I think you are starting to recognize Mark. (He's the first one I was able to recognize too. ☺). I read that he's the only member that's was in all of the subunits, (except for WayV), with his blonde streaks, blue, brown or whatever color in his hair at the time - side note..they all seem to change their hair color A LOT so don't try to recognize them by their hair color. 😄 ). I'm in agreement (again), with you on your review of these songs. When I first heard Hot Sauce, (without the MV), I felt the same way. Now hearing it a second time with the video, it's a little better, but still not something that I would purposely go back to. However, the song "Boom" IS on my NCT favorites playlist, and it was also one of the songs I suggested in your first NCT reaction video 😁 For WayV, I hope "Turn Back Time" is on your list 😊
I agree with some of the comments here, these two songs doesn't show their usual concepts, I really recommend you react to chewing gum (debut song), a very young, cute concept + hello future (the latest), fresh and bright but in more mature way, react to both and let you see and compare their growth. I bet you'll definitely hype over their cuteness 😂 and attacked by the growing visual, vocals and everything 😌 please react to it someday, let's give chance to wayv first (and other to-react list)
I got confused about which rapper you were refering to in Hot Sauce but the scene had Mark (yes, you're correct! :) ) and Jeno in there, then that's a different person from the deep vocals you mentioned in Boom. The one you mentioned in Boom is Jisung (and you did mention liking his voice in Hot Sauce as well). He is the maknae, main dancer and sub (?) rapper but I actually appreciate his vocals more. I hope SM realizes that and gives him more vocal lines. And yes, you don't know him yet lol :) I'm not sure if you saw the comments on the survey you posted but a few people were talking about how you will be watching these two videos and I agree with their sentiments about hoping for you to watch a different mv - one that is more representative of NCT Dream. In one of their broadcasts, one member mentioned that they "tried to look good, pretended they were tough" in a few comebacks and that in the most recent comeback, Hello Future (the one after Hot Sauce), they've grown and that they are back to who they were before. And so I recommend for you to watch that one, and I know a few others here will recommend other songs as well :)
I saw comments on the survey about which MVs people would like for me to check out, but I stopped reading when they got into WHY - because I’m the biggest spoiler allergic person on this planet 😂 I do have to say though, I was surprised with the look of the MVs - I was somewhat expecting something more bubbly and youthful. Idk, that’s probably stereotyping, that’s why I wrote in the video that it would probably be too easy for NCT, but my mental image was something bright, youthful and colourful and bubblegum pop-y, with pastel colours etc 😅 like an unapologetically “no worries” type of concept - but I already suspected that would probably be too easy of a guess xD still, the MVs were pretty far from what I subconsciously expected (especially BOOM was pretty mature visually), so I wonder how their other stuff looks like!
@@Landyra the music video that has the vibes you were expecting was their most recent music video, Hello Future and their older songs, Chewing Gum and We Go Up😊
@@Landyra they actually have Chewing Gum MV. 2 versions. One looks like they are playing and one where they also look like playing but with hoverboards.. Please check those two out. Then check Ridin', you'll see how much they have grown.
@@Landyra ohhh yeah, there were a some comments in there that said a lot. I'm not going to confirm nor deny your expectations and let you discover on your own :)
As for the concept, well... it's quite experimental. Something to do with dreams because that was their debut overall (NCT U - 7th Sense) but even the members aren't 100% sure apparently because SM storylines are just that wild.
NCT Dream members are from 1999-2002, when they debuted Mark was 17 & Jisung(maknae) was 14, their music/mvs has changed sounds over the years (ngl early songs still SLAP) the opening sound is actually spanish The member @ 4:20 with the 'deeper' vocals is funnily enough our dolphin Chenle XD he has ~range~ @6:30 Mark is on the left with the blue hair so nice job :D & the high note is Haechan, who's also in 127 Jaemin (black hair, turquoise suit) was the member with white hair in Make A Wish The member you liked @17:30 is Jisung, the maknae & an ace(dance/rap/vocal/visual) also the tallest in Dream lol (he was the shortest when they debuted, went from Jimin to RM in like 3 years) he kinda looks like Jae(Day6) & Mingi(Ateez) Hot Sauce was the first Dream album to recieve 1million preorders so EVERYONE was super excited (it was Dreams 1st full length album & we will FIGHT for the Dreamies)
woaahhh another nct content thank youuuuuuu... actually i was expecting Hot Sauce and Hello Future but i remember you will react them based on the most views mvs. anyway again thank you for ur honest thought.
They did sell little Hot Sauce Bottles on Key Rings but without Sauce in it, the licence for that would probably be to hard to attain for one promotion lol
that would’ve been so cool though! 😤 imagine making your dinner with your Kpop merch! I’m a sucker for practical or consumable merch that makes me feel like a responsible adult while buying it 👏🏻🔥
Landy 6:39: "i think this reminds me of Exo's Kokobop because it's raining food" I was like "Seriously?" 😂 That was hella amazing and random. Love you Landy ❤️ (I'm an Exol by the way)
If u havent notice in Boom mv there r only 6 members Mark graduated frm dream that time. And in between u can see only five members dancing bcus Haechan was with 127 or he will b busy with nct 127 comeback too
Hot sauce and Boom are two of the most popular songs of NCT DREAM, but it would be better if you react to Hello future, We young or Chewing gum which shows their youthful charms
13:18 that interesting voice is from haechan. He is in Nct 127 and Nct dream as well, also the rapper you mentioned in hot sauce is right that's Mark. Both haechan and Mark are in both Nct units. Also sometimes will come in some Nct U Songs aswell
hot sauce isnt my fav, i kinda hate thE song but please you gotta checkout the album's bsides!!!! dive into you, rainbow, my youth, life is still going on, and anl are SUPER DREAMIES STYLE AND VIBES
Compare hot sauce and hello future... I actually likes hello future more (I bring these 2 cus they r on the same era). Chewing gum would show more of dream. Also their older song like We Young , We go up. I love Haechan voice ^^ he's the one u say he have interesting voice. Also the other one u likes his voice the most is Jisung the maknae. Both is my bias. And correct Mark is 1 of the 2 in hot sauce (left) but he's not in Boom. Mark and Haechan is the 2 that r in nct127 too
I also suggest you if you want to check NCT Dream first, you should check them from their debut song to now. It would feel like you grew up with them😅 because that's how I exactly feel as an Dream stan
Catching up with the Dreamies needs to follow the order and to grow up with them. Every piece of music or group, especially stuffs from SM has its own concept to appreciate. But its one’s preference anyway and I do respect yours.
I recommend you to react Hello Future and its B sides like Bungee, Dive into you, Rainbow, My youth and Digitty, I’m 100% you’ll like this song it’s super youthful but hype at the same time and also the vocals, raps, melody, and harmony in these musics are way better than hot sauce, I must say😅 I promise you will like the whole vibe of this album it’s like the definition of NCT Dream’s music.. it’s very dreamy and soft but also slaps HAHAHAHAHAHA🤣🤘🏼🤘🏼
in nct dream there are 3 members that you already have seen: jaemin mark haechan / mark and haechan are in nct 127 and jaemin was in make a wish (white hair)
I’m glad you tried your best to do NCT reaction but seriously don’t force yourself it’s better to let someone catches your eyes than trying to dive into them by watching music videos and NCT’s music isn’t for everyone, they have their own pattern which just doesn’t click with other kpop fans, and they totally don’t do mainstream music
PLEASE OH MY GOD IF YOU LOVE THE WORD "GIDARYEO", YOU HAVE TO WATCH THEIR LATEST TITLE TRACK, HELLO FUTURE!!!!!!!! This is so random but i swear that song is really good aside from the fact that it has many "gidaryeo" in it. HAHAHA!
Next, you should do reaction to their latest release. NCT 127 Favourite, NCT Dream Hello Future and WayV Kick Back. Or you can do a reaction to their debut song and their latest release for each unit.
NCT DREAM is the young subunit, the oldest member is 22 years old (Mark, you know him from U and 127 already) and the youngest is 19 years old (Jisung, who you liked the most) in international age . Hot Sauce (+ repackage Hello Future) is much better comeback of 2021 than 127's comeback, at least in my opinion. You didn't heared yet 127's comeback, but it will be really interesting. Fandom is divided, half of them love it, second half hate this song. I saw a lot fans of 2nd generation, who really liked it. Do "Sticker" reaction one day. Btw, as I remeber, you were also MonstaX fan, right? Did you heard their comeback? If not, you should!!!
I used to follow Monsta X, but I haven’t checked any of their stuff after around the time Wonho left (can pinpoint that so specifically because I was in Seoul at that time) - kinda lost track of both Stray Kids and Monsta X due to a super busy year back then and haven’t been back yet 👀 I’m definitely interested in seeing what both of the groups have been up to, but I don’t think I have time to open myself another rabbit hole yet~
@@Landyra I still think you should check them out. You like rap and both groups lately did amazing songs with it. No need to record it, it won't take as much time as reactions for you, trust me, you don't want to missed it. btw, check Jessi too if you didn't
I was also annoyed in the intro of hot sauce When I first heard it , But then My cousin always play it like almost everyday and then it just grew on me and now I am addicted to it 🤣
Ridin reaction. Boom was my favorite, but Ridin grew on me a lot. Please check that out after you check out WayV. Please also check chewing gum. They are so cute!!
