Join me as I visit Efteling for the first ever time! This is my first reaction vlog! Riding rides such as Baron 1898, Droomvlucht, Symbolica and Joris en draak! These rollercoasters and rides were insane and I’m so glad I got to experience the park for the first time! I will return in future for the AMAZING new ride Danse Macabre and to get on the rides we missed out on and that were closed.

By far my favourite place in the world. I went in with unrealistically high expectations and Efteling surpassed them all.

Partly correct its not the first… efteling bought the prototype and build from there. So its in fact number zero before the first ^^.

6:22 The "steam" carousel is/was a traveling carousel built in 1895, which has been in the Efteling since 1956..

For a lot of Dutch "De vliegende Hollander" is their favourite Efteling ride. Because of the amazing theming. Cool waiting line and indoor part and watercoaster in 1. If you ever get to try it just read the story about the ride first if you want to understand the indoor part. It's very dark in there. It has the best themed waiting line in the park. But the waiting line for the new ride Dance Macabre will be better I think. That ride is going to be epic. It has a new ride system that has never been done before in the world. Creepy!!

I've grown up with this park and have visited every year as a kid. Took a year pass with friends during college and have kept it ever since. There's just something special to me about this park, Fata Morgana is my absolute favourite! Sad yu didn't get to do everything, but that means you definitely have to come back! Hope yu'll enjoy Danse Macabre, we're also looking forward to it!

People really underestimate Joris en de Draak. The blue side on the backrow is so intense. All the little airtime moments and laterals. Absolutely love it.

I just love that entrance so much. It's got the traditional thatch roof but it then turns it into something prehistoric, but also exotic and even somewhat lovecraftian.

Every point on the roof represents an sence: smelling, hearing, feeling, seeing and tasting. All things Efteling tries to let you experience.

It is always fun to see people going to Efteling for the first time. For most of us Dutch this will happen when we are a toddler or first grader. Either with parents or on a school trip. I have seen the park evolve since the early 70's amd it has become one of the best parks in Europe. My only real issue with the park is that it is still very "just Dutch". I always hear from channels like yours that storylines are hard to follow. Especially with Efteling exclusives (people of Laaf for example_ this could do with better signage.Yes there is some but hardly anything about stories and such. Do they already have audiotours in English as I was told that would be a thing and that was a while ago (few years)

When i was young i climbed over the fenche to come in, when i got older and came a carpenter i still got in for free because i worked on the Droomvlucht, the Hotel and some other projects haha nice video.

Yey! De Efteling❤❤❤ I went here in February and I loved it albeit was gutted to miss out on Joris en Draak and the water coaster that were both closed, but overall had an amazing time and fell in love with the charm and beauty of this park - will definitely be back, the only suggestion to make it a perfect park would be to add another couple of thrill rides for us thrill seekers

Its defently not a coaster park but it is still one of my favorite themeparks. Must say you about done maybe half the park at most. But you did do most of the major rides. I would suggest not coming during the weekend and a school holiday in may, june or spetember. Just look at the website of the park they have a good indication on how busy the days are.

In terms of joris en de draak, both tracks get about as much airtime, water is in my experience the rougher one of the 2 but both are good and definitely my favorite

@@whoknew2273 Why do you think that? They even have a new part of the play forest that is accessible for disabled children (in a wheelchair). What an amazing video. I was at Efteling too visiting from the UK on Tuesday 25th June! I’m only 9 years old and I went on my first upside down coaster (Python) i was scared at first but loved it went on 3 times.

Carnival Festival is actually an older ride than It's a Small World. In fact: designers from Disney went to Efteling for inspiration. Eventually came up with It's a Small World after seeing Carnival Festival. :)

I'm 3 minutes into the video and I already love it 😂 The entrance building is called 'huis van de 5 zintuigen' which means 'house of the 5 senses' The story of Symbolica is that you are visiting King Pardulfus. However, Pardoes (the mascot and the guy at the entrance) has other plans. He wants to show you all of the secrets of Symbolica

Dan, you have to go back to experience everything! I did a two night stay at the Efteling hotel with three day park entrance and still didn't get on some attractions due to maintenance. Efteling is one of the best parks in the world and is only going to get better!

If you go in the summer you need more than 1 day if you want to do everything. The park is very busy in the summer.

I am so jealous. A first trip to Efteling is something magical. And you kind of understand the language after a while … after Friesian (which is spoken by roughly nobody), Dutch is the closest language to English. My tip is to imagine you’re listening to someone speaking English in a heavy Dutch accent (and the North Brabantian accent is as heavy as it gets) and you will understand about 1/3 of it without knowing anything about the language.

Efteling is amazing. Went foe the first time last year with my 2 daughters who were obsessed. Max and Moritz is amazing even and the youngest went on that about 15 times in the 3 days we were there. If you can get on Python at the front next time then that's a whole different experience

Vila Volta actually was the first one!! had to laugh so hard....carnaval festival is from 1984, symbolica is from 2017. Do you really want to compare those :D Lifthill for Python probably is so slow due to operations; with 2 train service, they cant have to move faster, there would be a problem

Fun fact: Both the madhouses at Alton Towers and the Efteling were built by Vecoma. Villa Volta in 1996 and Hex in 2000.

In Symbolica every tour is almost the same, they each have one special interactive room filled with an organ(music) crystal diamonds(treasure) and fighting Knights(heroes)

The lift hill of Python is faster when running one train. When with 2 it has to be slowed due to regulations.

The Efteling is definitely a two-day park. Don't skip the "tamer" rides, like the swinging ship (the largest in the world!), or the Fairytale Forest.

It's not the biggest. It doesn't have the most outrageous rides. But it has warmth, and charm, and a simply amazing atmosphere. I've loved Efteling since i was a child and probably will continue to until my dying day. :D

Same I rode it on Saturday, I stupidly did as my first ride, I went on Nemesis Inferno afterwards and it was so tame in comparison, it basically ruined all the other rides.

22:54 Efteling is a Theme park with a capital T! .. not a rollercoaster park or thrill park, although they have some nice roller coasters as well.. but Theming is king.. Anyways, I do sincerly appologize that Flying Dutchman was closed because that's probably my favorite ride there.. I would advise you to come back for multiple days next time because you missed huge parts of the park by the looks of it..

Efteling officially still is a nature park, owned by a nonprofit foundation aiming to promote the enjoyment of nature, leisure and sport. Or something like that. They own way more ground than just the theme park and there are restrictions on the percentage of area that can be built up, as well as the maximum height.

The reason the lift goes so slow on python is because you would else be standing to long still on the brake section. When its running one train the lift is faster or well more normal speed.
