I ran my first half marathon about 6 months ago in Chicago. This video goes into my training for it and what shoes I used. I wouldn't take this as advice but rather what I did for myself.

This book was a fantastic guide for me and now I am using the full marathon book to train for my full.

Nicely done! And congrats on the sub 1:30. I'm going for 1:30 in one week as well. I'm in the same boat as a bigger runner who's been pushing mileage limits and doing multiple speed sessions per week. It will also be my first long race in super shoes. Love the invincibles but I'm more of a Saucony racer.

Good luck on your race, you got this! I’ve been meaning to test the Saucony ones. I heard their race shoe is solid, is that what you plan to use?

How many speed sessions were you doing a week .

Excellent job, congrats on the sub 1:30 … in training for my first half marathon in November and currently aiming at going sub 1:30 myself! I was doh ting if I can, but Hearing your story has given be a ton of hope and inspiration! Thanks for sharing!

@@veljkodailyI do! I feel really good at the moment. I actually got the book an currently making some adjustments to my training plan. Really hoping that this training can get me my desired goal.

Training plan is key! Try to find one that you can sustain and make sure it has some speed days. You got this

You're fast! I'm 140 lbs, started running a year ago, and just now got to a 1:38 HM after a 3 month training plan and averaging 40 miles per week
