A quick review of WoodWick's Phantom Cherry. A new scent for 2024, possibly a Halloween collection scent. Not available on the WoodWick/Yankee website yet. But you can purchase it now at

Literally LOL @ Moose Lodge! I came here because I found Phantom Cherry today at my local YC Outlet. Totally surprised at this because Woodwick has never done Halloween before (IIRC). On cold, it's much richer and warmer than YC Black Cherry. I think I may go back and get another.

😆 I did see a picture today where it showed Phantom Cherry, Antiquarium, Guilded Sands and Hypnoflora in their "Autumn" collection this year. 🎃

@@SouthofSanityCandles I got to see the Woodwick photo for Phantom Cherry and now I under why I'm liking this so much. With YC Black Cherry, the cherry scent note is prominent but here it supports woody notes, tonka bean, amber, smoked vanilla, moss and musk. Phantom Cherry is easily a conceptual "fall" scent with a cherry twist, whereas Black Cherry is a straight forward dark cherry scent. Now that I'm thinking on it, this reminds me a bit of Woodwick's discontinued Oudwood, retooled with a cherry theme.

Never even heard of this one before. Sounds pretty good to me, but isn't Woodwick owned by Newell Brands aka Yankee Candle now? From what I recall, they used to be owned or made by Virgina Candle or Smith Mountain.

Still owned by Newell, on the bottom it does say Virginia Gift Brands though. 🎃

@@SouthofSanityCandles Interesting. My guess is that Woodwicks are made in their own separate factory.
