I have been coming back to this video for every exam season in the last six (or so) years. Tomorrow I start a week of finals, which are hopefully going to wrap up my studies completely. This video has always been so calming and „treat it like it‘s game day“ is gonna get me through these last six exams. THANK YOU, John!
It’s about time for our second midterms and I’m watching this video. Honestly your videos helped me a lot to become more productive and organized. Thank you, love you.
I'm so happy that John decided to Vlog generally, his videos help a lot. now I'm 28 and have a bachelor at civil engineering and trying to pass my PE exams. I looked for motivation Videos and found John. I suggest his channel to anyone who is looking for a motivation to study.
How do you get motivated after studying your hardest and failing? Ever since I've started attending a prestigious college, I've felt very demotivated by my own bad grades.
John sweetie.. I must say as a senior.. The reason why u r where u r right now is not only because of your hard work dedication and discipline but that you are a genuinely wise person with an attitude of a modern young zen buddhist as I would put it.. I hope you see more brighter days and calm nights in the future.. Take care. Peace.
I love Japan! I took a class on Zen Buddhism this semester, and learned that I'm a big fan of sōtō zen and Dōgen. Plus, I really enjoy the minimalist Japanese aesthetic and the high quality of the products that I've bought from Japan!
How can you regiment your life this much, time for dinner etc especially after an exam surely after doing it for so long you start to have a routine or at least change it up abit. Is this the case, I know I couldn’t do that
Anyone know the song he used? I'm building a playlist with all of the songs he's used and Shazam & SoundHound aren't picking it up, and the link is dead :/
3 of my 4 classes had their finals/final projects in reading week--so I only had one exam during finals period, yes, but all of my classes had either final papers or tests (or both).
Momentum is really the key. If you can force yourself to start working at a specific time, it's so much easier to keep working. Give yourself regular breaks (this is why the Pomodoro method works so well for me)--you can't force out all unproductive behaviour, that wouldn't be healthy, but you can limit it by setting strict time limits on using your phone/being on social media.
Had this dude lived in India he would’ve been cooked out of his mind giving finals here all the while maintaining that sort of a compulsive attitude and planned schedule.
