My First Impressions And Quick Tour Of The Carnival Luminosa In Alaska!  

Solid Video thanks!! My wife and I are cruising on the Luminosa June 1-8 for Alaska. Leaves and returns to Seattle. I cannot wait to get to that Craps table!!!!

LOL, older? I did 3 cruises on the Conquest this winter. Luminosa is much newer than that one. And that ship was fine. They do a good job on maintenance IMO. I'll be on the Lumi in 4 days. I got the same deal only I am going solo, $100+ fees.

What table games did they have other than blackjack & roulette?

For anyone who wants to bag out the Luminosa, bag out the American Carnival company instead. It was they who were the money grabbing, time is of the essence and didn’t manage to complete all the necessary work needed. Initially it was the Costa Magica that was being rebranded for the Carnival run. Then a Greek company showed interest in the Magica which was actually an older ship by 6yrs-2003 Luminosa is 2009. Consequently because of the interest by the Greek Ferry company Luminosa didn’t have the optimum time for rebranding, all about the $$$. Sale finally went through on the Magica in Feb’23 I personally like the Luminosa. It has more pianos than I have seen on any other ship. She is actually a sister ship to Cunards Queen Elizabeth. She has 12 decks but you can only take the Atrium elevators to Deck 9 which I am sure you worked out. Yes she is an older ship, but that’s what I like about her. Don’t need all the fun ship bells and whistles up top for the children, gives you more deck space to see the panoramic views of the inside passage. We sail on her again early September, doing Alaska and a repositioning cruise back to Brisbane. Australia. Looking forward to it.

4 of us are on the 25th... with over 30 cruises under our belt this first impression video is revealing in the differences of European built ships and Caribbean built ships... others have mentioned the jumbled mess at the buffet...we will roll with whatever arises and enjoy... thanks for this video...

I wish they put a Ship back out of Fort Lauderdale ( like they had prior to 2020 - year around ) : like a carnival ship or Costa - Carnival ship
