I love my cali king, shes a baby only about 6 months old, never refuses food, and out of my 9 other snakes, the only one that will take a shot at me. love them reguardless.
I love kingsnakes! I work with a Florida kingsnake at the zoo I volunteer at, and she's a beauty, probably the best program snake we have. I'd love to own my own kingsnake some day, probably a gray-banded.
He is so cute! I absolutely love california king snakes! They are definitely my dream snake! I'm obsessed with all of their morphs. I especially love the Lavender albinos, bananas, and high white! It's hard to beat the normals though! They are stunning!
He is beautiful. I love kingsnakes. My first reptile is a Florida king. She is now about two years old, super easy to handle, great eater (even during the cold months) and always exploring everything. I plan on having many different types of kingsnake in my family, and a California king is at the top of the list.
That's about how big my male Cal King is. But this one's colors are SO beautiful. 😍 Also, unless you put them in brumation in a cool down, they will still be awake and act like a normal snake, and eating regularly. All my snakes eat all year around.
He really is beautiful! I’ve spoken with a number of kingsnake keepers, and they’ve assured me that it’s not uncommon for them to exhibit brumation-like behaviors (including less appetite) during the cooler months.
@@HunterHouck Nice. Mine must just be the crazy king snake thst wants to eat everything. Although... 🤔 ... Lately he has been picky about only wanting to eat mice, instead of rats. So I guess that's a bit of a different behavior he's had with the changing of seasons. But the last 2 years I've had him he's still taken food throughout the cold seasons. Which is like, half the year here in Michigan. 😅
My CA kingsnake ate only 3 small meals in 8 months after being a great eater. I worried like crazy. Only lost 3 oz in all that time. Now he's back to eating enthusiastically. Snakes do what snakes do I guess ☺
So glad to see you uploaded! I am watching it now it looks good! Thanks again for uploading!( I do wanna say If I do ever adopt any reptiles/amphibians from crimson exotics I would give them the best home ever and I would also do it for reptile education)
29 june this year my grandson's male aberrant 66% het albino California Kingsnake (Ziggy) became 2 year, and 24 August he will have him for 2 years. Or the snake is incredible, or my grandson knows how to read his body language very good (he tried to teach me as well, I handled him before but he's close to 1meter now, so it's difficult for me because I don't feel very well anymore in my hands. (Late 70's does that to you) ) he was busy with him since 1 week afther arrival, and I also know that afther 4 days the little one ate already. He's never been bitten or been musked on by Ziggy. He's offcourse already been bitten by other snakes but not much. But his snake, no he knows him incredibly well. And my guess is it goes both ways. I joke around sometimes they have a connection like twins do. Because he can handle him with ease, and take him out off his enclosure without him being defensive. With me he's defensive in his enclosure. But with him he's very relaxed and explorative, if I wouldn't see it every day it would be hard to believe for me, but yeah it's really like they have a bond together. I say snakes are a lot smarter than most off the non reptile people think. Anyway you have a great kingsnake! Have a good day young sir. Greetings from Belgium.
I have been away working on something for so long that I have a LOT of videos to catch up to, lol. Glad to see that you look much more comfortable on camera. 👍 Your new foster looks amazing! Love that your first thing to do is put him around your neck. If you're still looking for names, here are some I thought of: 1. Panda, because he's showing black and white on camera 😊 2. Mattress, because he's a California King 😉 3. King Reginald, because it sounds as fancy as he looks 😁
@@HunterHouck haha. Yeah I’ve learned if you use numbers instead of bullet points you get a little better results 1) 2) etc... but still people won’t pay attention.
