You know we visited Gangtok in November it was awesome i can't explain you how much fun it was. We stayed in Main Gangtok city 🌆 5min up on hills hotels . So everyday after site scene we use to MG road down there it's best place to take pictures, for shopping and foods . ✨ ❤️ I will always remember that time.
I'm from India maharashtra and i love North East India amazing people humble kind and so beautiful how can we not talk about their hospitality it's sad that some of our indian brother's are being racist to North East Indian people i hope soon it'd end thank you for visiting india ❤️

Talking about the modern India 🇮🇳, here are the places to check out: Aerocity, New Delhi Salt Lake City/New town, W Bengal Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra Gift city and modern ahmadabad, Gujarat Bengaluru City, karnataka Hi tech city, Hyderabad Gurugram Cyber city Noida, UP Etc Are some of the modern cities that will give you European city vibes, please do visit these places, these are super clean and modern.
once upon a time delhi and mumbai were so clean many villagers and poor people come there for their needs and for jobs so than these cities become so much populated as we know and people treat these places like village they throw waste openly and also a big hand of our government
Visited Sikkim few months ago and I must say Sikkim is one of the most beautiful Indian state. The local people of Sikkim are so kind and humble.Hope to revisit this paradise land soon.
Most of the northeast states don't dispose waste properly. You can see this. It's not hidden. The main touristy areas might be clean. In comparison to other places in the world. It's garbage. Waste management sorting and trash collection inefficient burning is one of the problems. Storm water systems used as open drain sewer systems for blackwater greywater. There is no clear sewage system. The combined sewage and solid trash is not treated. I don't know about Sikkim however most places in northeast is as bad as mainland India if not a step down from there.
Himalayan states problem with garbage and sewage is getting worse. I also would like to complain about the narrow roads and lack of sidewalks and improper suburban and urban planning there. Been there done that. Thanks for listening to my charade. It's all because there is wasted potential that has become a permanent failure.

They really throw garbage anywhere and because of them the hidden gems are not more hidden and are more crowdy and dirty now . Like shimla and manali. So please don't show them the hidden places that are near to your heart. Specially content creators.
Surprisingly ! Sikkim was ruled by racist American queen! Who hate india/indians to core of her heart! It was the people of Sikkim who voted to join india ! and overthrows that queen !People of Sikkim kicked that American queen out from Sikkim! And she is still alive i think !
I hope Mainland Indian pple never infiltrate Sikkim. I saw one woman making her son pee in the water drain that ran down a public museum!!!! The way they litter is disgusting. Sincerely for this state, I hope there is no infiltration of mainland Indians. It’s not communal or anything. Sikkim has a lot of Agarwals, Punjabis and all. Which is wonderful. But hopefully not more people infiltrate her esp with the ‘it’s govt’s job wala mindset’

It's certainly a big difference when people take care of their city. I've been to several clean cities in India. It's much harder to do in big cities, but sometimes they are able to keep a section of a big city clean, which is sill a nice thing 👍
Gangtok is a hidden gem of India, beautiful, clean, affordable and absolutely praiseworthy. I fell in ❤ with Sikkim since I first visited it 3 yrs back. Absolutely amazing place. Must visit again
Do visit Assam, another North-Eastern state. Assam has World's smallest and largest river island, Kaziranga National Park and lots of temples, historical sites and natural beauties.
I'm an indian but when I traveled one state to another state within india.. .. It's feel like something different and feels like I traveled different world within india itself, which I always try to understand because of different language and cultures,way of living...

Cuz there population is less. ! Fun fact in Sikkim state there is chemical fertilizers are banned ! Sikkim is a capital of organic products of India ! Sikkim organic products so famous all over world ! There is strict punishment if u use chemical fertilizers! And even ur land also get checked if it's contain any chemical fertilizers or not !
North east,, North india (kashmir area) west india - (pubjab,Rajasthan and gujrat) and south india are good. Central india like UP, bihar, mp and orissa sucks

Sikkim state really is a good place no tourist find any problem touring the state. Hope you travel save and sound. Most of northeast states are safest states for women till now no case of serious crimes against women in these state. Mainland india states report serious crimes almost everyday against women and domestic helpers. 👋😃🍅
That is good to hear. Others told me similar info. Especially about safety for women. I hope that safety for women will grow to all parts so everyone can experience India without fear or problems. I do know many MANY solo female travelers that have spent many months all over India without issue. It is definitely possible. But safer is always better 🙂
In other cities of India there are chances of loot by locals be it in Hotel, Temple or other shops but trust me in Gangtok, people are decent and sincere. Good and helping people make the place cleaner.

Actually India has a lot of variation.historically The Indian subcontinent consists of India, Bhutan, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Pakistan So difference isn't the point what matters is unity in diversity. And north east and north India contains the himalayan mountain ranges and it is totally heaven beautiful .
You see India is easily the better alternative for Europe. It is infact a better Europe and much more affordable. Makes the perfect place for European and American tourists alike. I am Indian and have travelled across Europe and let me tell you..you cannot compare Europe to India lol India is nowhere near Europe in terms of cleanliness, sophistication and overall quality of life. Europe is way more aesthetic and beautiful in general and India has a few such places, but we cannot compete with European countries. But many things you can find in India, you can ONLY find in India. Including cleanliness, and modern, and historic and chaotic. For better or worse, India is unlike any other place !

It's has a very nice atmosphere, clean air, built on a slope with beautiful view of Kangchenjunga. It does feel "modern" but reminded me more of East Asia than "west". It was a refreshing visit 🙂
You can't judge India by just one city you saw in slumdog millionaire.....India is much more diverse, beautiful and developed....try to research more about India and how developed it is .
About this city very few foreigners know maximum foreigners know only Delhi, Mumbai, Taj Mahal, Jaipur. Just like you more and more foreigners vloger should come to Shima , manali, gangtok, leh Ladakh and make a video there

Bro this cleanliness can only be found in NE...(not all states) But Mostly... We need to accept and work on the flaws... Even I would say if I visit there, that this is not India... Becuz even I live in Assam this is much cleaner than our state... Becuz all the illegal immigrants and people from North Indian villages came here and slowly this is not clean as before... No offense to North Indian born people...but yes many of them who come from the villages in search of work and even many eduacted people from there make our streets dirty...

I spent 6 months in Gangtok and I have to tell that this is the best place in entire India I traveled across the globe but this place is the only 100% organic state No plastic, no chemical, rich culture and friendly people living in stunning nature
Sikkim was part of Tibet and when Tibet was being taken over by China, the king of Sikkim chose his kingdom to be a part of India. And the north-eastern states of India are somewhat different from the mainland India because most of the people from these states are tribals and all the tribal communities of northeast India look southeast asian although every single tribe speaks their own languages and most of them are unintelligible to the other tribes. I am from Arunachal Pradesh, the eastern most state of India and it's nice to see people from the west taking interest in northeast.

India is a country of diversity. People of every state look different in some way or the other. For example, Bengalis do not look like Biharis, Biharis do not look like Rajasthanis. People of Maharashtra look a bit different. Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka are quite different from all these. Tamil Nadu and Kerala are quite different from all these states. People of Manipur look a bit different from Meghalaya. Similarly, you can see some difference in the people of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Sikkim. Unity in diversity is our slogan. This is called India.
Sikkim was a independent country and Tibet you can say is like a sister state to Sikkim, as the former rulers had their roots in Tibet as they migrated to Sikkim to set up the Namgyal Dynasty who ruled till 1975 after that Sikkim became a part of India. Fyi Sikkim was never colonised it was a suzerainty of British India and after that became a protectorate state of India till 1975.
