I go on my first ever motorcycle camping trip. Everything was new and untested. I used a Naturehike Mongar 2 tent and Big Agnes Diamond Park sleeping bag. #tenere700 #tenere700extreme #t7 #t7x #norway #nature #motorcycle #bikelife
Congratiulations on your first Campingtrip :) really nice to see you made your step towards mental peace and happiness. Also this is a beautiful scenerie. Already happy to see more of your adventures. Stay safe :)
Great video brother and well dine in the first camp out. Looks amazing. What drone do you use? How far away was your bike when you went ti bed in the tent? Make sure yiu lock it up OK. Jase
Thank you, bud! 🙏😊🎉 I use the DJI Mini Pro 3. Just getting started with it, but I'm very excited about it 👍 The bike was about 100m from me, I guess? You can see it better in the follow up video, coming soon 😄
Padded Cycling shorts are good ... 1 for riding comfort..under jeans 2 they can be shorts when camping...just whip ya jeans off . Crocs. Small to pack and so comfy .. Is your clutch lever not adjustable...it looks a long reach ...
Thanks for the tips! Padded shorts is a great idea! I brought Crocs (urban camo color 😄) , felt great 👍 Clutch lever, I don't know. Gotta look into that.
Thank you, buddy! 🙏👍⛺🥾 Some mosquitos, 2 days after the trip I itched quite a bit hehe 😁 As for leaving the bike, I think that's fine in this area. Very remote👍
Another great video, Thomas. I'm looking forward to Part 2 of your camping trip. I also camp with my adventure bike, here in Arizona. You mentioned in your video that you have limited dirt riding experience. Be careful on those dirt roads, especially in the remote areas where you ride. I suggest practicing dirt riding near your home where you have cell phone coverage and a bit of civilization in case you have a mishap. Better yet, maybe you can find an experienced dirt rider to give you a few pointers. Love all your videos - keep them coming!
Thank you, Mark! 🙏👍 Yes the dirt/gravel roads are new to me. Def need to get some training and go slow. Good point about the cell phone coverage. Crashing out there is a bad idea. 🤔
Really enjoyed the video. And learnt about some new roads aswell. A tip is I always carry with me diaper/dog po bags easy small for waste and waterproofs things hand clean alcohol nice for cleaning and fire making. But test what you use and don't use to make it easier. I love making food so I gotten my self some stuff from firebox stove*check his. youtube. But liv and learn. And you are never alone👍
This week im free from work. So i drove to Noppikoski and Idre here in sweden on my bike for 2 days. And then i was home 1 day. Then i drove to Karlstad and Oslo for 2 days. Now im home again. Love to ride bike on adventures :D
Great video! Keep up the good work 💪Dont god home, keep riding. The ride will harden you👊 Tip. Do not put your tent up on stone or rocky surface it will deteriorate the material for the times when it will rain. Looking forward to the next video😎Br Joey
I haven't tried the Raid, but have tried the World Rally, side by side comparison with the Extreme. The X was just more fun to ride and had a bit more height and legroom. 👍
headlight shorts towel so you can take a dip magnesium so youll cramp less for real tho, great video :D left me wanting a part 2 of the morning after and ride home :D
Excellent first camp Thomas 👌. I first started watching you due to the XSR but I’m hooked even though you’ve gone on to purchase the Tenere . you’ve got a great channel going here my friend, best of luck with the new bike and your future camps, all the best 👍🏻
Hi Thomas. Trust you are well. I've watched so many videos of the 900 Rally Pro and the World Raid. You name it.. I've watched it. But you made up my mind to get the Extreme. I like your videos a lot. I'm from South Africa. But when I'm ever in Norway one day. I will rent a bike and we will ride together. 👊👊😁 Johan Erskine.
I have bougt tent, sleeping bag and all the camping need's stil i have not got into a camping trip yet maybe i do it next year lol i don't know what it is every time i plan for a trip i only stop and take a normal ride instead, wel i guess i try later! I remember i loved to camp when i was a teenager but look's like the urge to do it is not there som much enymore! Hilsen Eivind fra Norge, Lillestrøm. Very good video thoug i learnes little there :)
i think what your get from it is both experience and memories, fun things too look back on. A good thought that might replace a bad one and it makes you just that little bit happier.
Great to see someones first encounter with moto camping (and camping in general)! I just got my A-license and this is what I really enjoy! Just imagine how great the journey would be with som eggs and bacon to go with those beans!
Det var en forfriskende video! Det virker som det er mer som ble utfordret enn bare første campingturen her. Du virker som en hyggelig fyr, lugn og god 👍 dette var bra!
Congratulations ! First camp , beautiful lake . A headlight is essential , also a lantern to hang from a pole or in the tent . Not too many cans of beans though 😅. But lots of bacon , all camping requires bacon , trust me .😊 Have fun , ride safe .
@@TalkTheRide Thomas ur gorgeous just as u are, I've only been with u from when u bought the Tenere, but there's something about ur personality that makes me smile and lifts my spirit, as I've been down myself. I've got a dual sport and a cruiser, been riding since I was 4, actually did some racing back in the day. But alas I'm an old Bird now and thourally enjoy motocampiing, there's lots to teach u, but believe me, it will change ur life, mistakes will always be made, how else do we learn. Much respect Karlene 💜
Great video and absolutely amazing camping spot! Get yourself a flashlight, though. Petzl is a great bulletproof choice. And extra batteries, AA or AAA - so, cheaper "non-rechargeable" flashlight works the best I had rather funny Klymit mats experience, as I always roll from them and end up sleeping on the ground or hard rock 😊
What kind of cameras do you use? I recently upgraded my old Garmin Virb XE with Insta360 ACE, which seems to be better and does not overheat, but I really miss the sensors, GPS, speed, G-force and banking angle
Well done! The first day is tough. We humans are very much a part of nature, it’s important to spend some cool time alone in the natural environment. I find it very grounding. I appreciate that everything is perfectly imperfect but in harmony. Hey, Ortlieb make a handy water bag in 2l, 4l and 10l.
Really liked the mini adventure, keep on going. As a T7 driver myself and a big fan of exploring the road. Live in Drammen so have ridden some of the same roads as you drive in the video, excellent! Haven't been to Myklevannet so will take a trip. When i go on longer trips i use the Kriega soft saddel bags (2x18L and a 30 liter bag) for camping and it works great. However last year I got me a Giant loop Diablo tank bag, would strongly recommend that tank bag on the T7. Super practical for smaller stuff, a bottle, sunglasses and etc. Use it everyday when i just need some smaller stuff and need somewhere to put it.
@@TalkTheRide I found your channel while searching Tenere Extreme. Got myself one 2 weeks ago and I am enyoing the beast.😄 In september I go for a solo trip to the Italian alps..🙏🏻 Regards, Max
Väldigt fint ställe. Kör även jag med Naturehike Mongar (fast ver 1) lätt o smidigt tält. Kunde du köra ner hojen, eller fick den stå vid vägen ? Tack för en bra film.
