It was a bit of a brown trousers moment 😂

You way braver than I would ever be to operate a lathe by cnc. Kudos to you for your achievements. That knob came out great. Well done. 👏👏👍😀

Thanks Andrew. It's certainly gets the heart going as the tool approaches the chuck!

Well done Olly, great to see the progress. There's probably a joke in there somewhere about knobs and CNC programmers, but I will spare you the anguish 🤣🤣🤣

What you didn't see was how long it took me to get fusion360 to generate the right toolpath. 🤯

Mornin' Olly, Great result, well done!!. And really well done for getting the lathe running on CNC. That first cut looked too deep but I wasnt totally sure with the camera angle. Looks quite a task getting the swarf not to wrap around the work piece. 4 more days to go!! All the best!!

It's maybe 5mm short but it works and has a very nice finish :)

What's that old chestnut, "It's not how long it is, it's how you use it"...

Great video but please use pliers not fingers if you're going to remove the bird's nest whilst the spindle is turning. The plastic's too strong to reliably snap by hand.

You are right, I'll station an appropriate tool by the lathe.
