My First Reaction To Elpis

yeah.. Elpis is a love letter to the Fans... many of us cried a bit when he came back for sure..

My favorite bit about Elpis is that Hyth just takes every opportunity to take the piss out of Emet-Selch.

When those piano notes kick in, it’s time to cry

The, "Satisfied?", line was both for narrative and for the fans who were sad that they couldn't have more interactions with Emet-Selch. When I played through I knew immediately by his voice who he was and cried a bit for joy. My godchildren (nephew and niece) would watch me play from time to time and my godson has told me on more than one occasion that I remind him of Emet-Selch. Which is funny as hell because his zodiac is Gemini-or the Third Seat's respective constellation. Mine is Libra, the Seventh Seat's-the Seat of Halmarut. I gave him my Crystal of Azem and he lost his mind. When his baby brother was born, I gave him my Paladin soul stone and told him he had to be his sister's and brother's protector. Funnily enough, his sister is a Leo and therefore Fandaniel. She actually liked how whimsical he was in the story...bless her little heart.

Notice that the border in wall paneling and platform edges in some places clearly has a Garlean flag symbol design repeating along the border? Emet always did have trouble letting go of the past.

I always love seeing such a big, imposing race reduced to "I need uppies!" in that scene.

hah! the look on your face was mine down to the tee. i was in fc chat with my buddy who'd already played past this point and who'd already had an earful about Elidibus and that i was going back to the past and what if i COULD change something (!!) maybe i COULD fix everything (!!!) and wouldn't that just be amaaaazing. then I got to here and.... yeah. I don't honestly know why i didn't immediately jump to the idea of, you know, maybe i was going to meet people I already knew? but then I heard that voice behind me/off camera and i distinctly recall putting my hands in front of my mouth and then starting to well up with this surge of completely unexpected emotion and i distinctly recall wobbly typing into fc chat "buddy? there's a voice. and I KNOW THAT VOICE." then i pretty much died for twenty minutes.

Ive just beaten Elpis a few hours ago, and every part of this Zone had me crying so hard. Sooooooo good.

I love seeing what different dialogue appears with different races. I definitely didn't get this one when I played (I'm a Mi'qote).

When the entire Elpis storyline, i did on a single sitting...and finished by like 4 am and went to sleep, when i woke up, i was unsure if everything that happened there really happened at all

Imagine, originally, waiting two years for this expansion to drop and seeing Emet once again after all that time...I was shedding tears of joy T_T

This also makes cannon Fantasia's just by that passing bit of words.

Fun fact: if this is the first time of Hades on Elpis, this means he *just* got his position as Emet-Selch. I mean, *just* might be hundreds of years ago, but they are immortal so yknow. So this means we, as Azem, probably got our seat before him. So we are Hades' senpai, to his utter doom.

6:51 If you are lalafell they have a similar dialog: Emet claims that it is PROPORTIONAL. Medium sized characters get their own dialog, but non as funny as this rogaedin and lalas XD

Is there no way to watch your playthrough of the game? I went on twitch but you have no vods of it from what I could see.
