the best start as you did, MST are high end for drift. In my case i use for drifting Traxxas 4Tec 2.0, the speed help to do the power slide more that 50 mph
I've driven real drift cars for several years now and want to get into rc drift. Would I shop for an rc in the same fashion I shop for a drift missile project?
Welcome to the addiction! 🤣🤙🏼 like the track layout! What are the dimensions? Looks like the gyro gain might be a little too high or something. Look forward to more drifting!!
Not even 2 minutes in.... we're talking about upgrades. Lots of us wanna get started - and - already have RC gear. So rather then a RTR where is a good place to start with a kit?
Great video I got used mst Rmx 2.0 rtr stock too. I took it drift track and everyone told I had to upgrade parts 🤣 I’m like tf. why did I even get rtr… plans for are futaba 3pv remote, Hobbywing xr10 10.5 motor/esc, reved rsst servo, futaba gyro gyd450. 😏 thats like another $500 & That just entry level stuff 😳. Didn’t realize drifting was expensive and people take it really seriously. Now maybe I can keep up with the experts at the drift track 🤣. I hope u do drift build. 👍 oh yea and don’t forget tires for each surface and shock upgrades. 😆
Love the start of the basement setup! Came across your video while looking into this RC car as I have the same widebody brz in real life and was thinking about picking this up to take to shows/car meets. How do you think it'd fair on asphalt? I suppose I'd probably have to pick up a few sets of extra wheels but would probably mostly drive it around tamely on rough surfaces. Thanks for any info!
Hey man, new subscriber here. loving your channel .Qick question I'm trying to decide between the big rock or the granite from Arrma .what is a better truck overall, suspension longevity ,motor ,durability just best Bang for the buck ,Thanks man
great car its my drifter to but if you can i would recoment turn buckles and the gearbox of the rmx mst 2.0 il post the link here www.driftparadiz.fr/en/collections/differentiels/products/set-cage-differentiel-a-pignon-rouge-rmx-rrx-mst-copy this is a french site i coulnd find in on amain sorry als would recomend a diffrent radio and servo gyro combo then you will really get going but just enjoy thats the most importand
It's a great looking car and it seems to be difficult to get a handle on. But, it gives the viewer a good idea about deciding to buy a drift car or not.
They did a nice job on it. I’ve been driving it since I made the video and I’m getting better at it. I felt it was more beneficial though to show my very first laps with it so people know what to expect.
I have the s15 . But your gyro looks diff. But it should have curve settings. That adjusted with the sensitivity Will help smooth the counter steering . Mine smoothed out the twitching effect. And once you get used to it you'll see you don't need alot of steering input .
Dude what are you talking about?! Your track setup is supra rad! It’s perfect for a basement setup! It would be a perfect 1:24 or 1:18 drift track too! I’m totally green jello right now over it! I’m thinking of adding this RTR to my RC drift collection because i have a guy that prints parts for these! You can have all wheel servos and a 6 chan radio to lift and drop these like air bags on a car. I have a bunch of high end RC street, track and drift stuff but he only sells these part options for this car. Thanks for the content, and i absolutely love your basement track and collection! I’m gonna sub, but for hobbie sakes please sub in return, maybe we can do some trades in the future, for parts, cars,or even custom work. Thanks! Ultra
I have a rc car worth 3 dollars and some other amount in my region, from a store, very light, rear wheel drive, very well powered, and direct turning proportions
Hi RC driver online! I'm subscribed for quite a while now and I watch all of your videos. You make amazing content! For a better drifting experience when you start it's the best to try to shift some weight to the back, like the esc and/ or the servo. that way the car flics around the corners mutch better. You can also place the motor at a higher posistion. That way the car is going to lean more to 1 side and corner mutch better. On the Amain hobbies yt account they show how to do that in a series. Awesome video again!
How’s it coming along? Your track isn’t too small in my opinion, it might be just a tad fast and complicated. figure 8 tracks gets you going a little easier :)
Hold the angle..always throttle on.Trick is you catch traction if you slow down, and slide when throttling up.Never use”brake”to engage slides like you would in real life.
It still messes with me that people who drift only rwd rc give so much hate the awd drift comunity yet they use a gyro... Awd powerslide purley controlled by the operator or a computer controlled burnout?? Im only on this video because im wanting to learn about to rwd life, but the more i learn the more im confused bout this awd hate
I don’t understand the hate either. RWD evolved from AWD. There’s always a few that rock the boat. But for the most part I think people in this segment are happy it grows in any fashion.
Hey my friend nice track for maybe 1/14 scale it's to small for a 1/10 scale car but good job or even better 1/18 scale would be key, thanks your friendly neighborhood Doorman william from NYC forgettaboutit 👊 😀
I got a Yokomo basic 4wd drift car kit. Not sure if they make the kit anymore. The kit does not include very much. No electrics, no body. I put a Tamiya "Z" body on mine. Thoughts?
I know im late but what battery and charger is recommended for this setup? Im brand new to this and was looking for something that will have decent run time and enough power for this. I saw somewhere that 100c batteries are good for these but i dont know which ones to choose
Welcome to the dark side!!! :) I help a lot of folks get started in drifting. Feel free to reach out via messenger if you want some tips. You did at least one of the most common mistakes when folks get into drifting! I have a whole video on that. :)
