I was diagnosed with stage 3 , colon cancer and had cancers in my gallbladder ,and one ovary. All news was bad, chemo was not working and went through the blood barrier and I had a brain tumor stage 4 . My meds where changed to immunotherapy drugs. You have the right attitude and spirituality. That’s where I got strength. Cancer free since 2021. Still have cat scans to check, so I still pray and try to be a good person.

I'm starting a melanoma journey right now. It's in my lymph nodes but haven't been to oncology yet to figure out where else it may be. Nerve wracking. 37 single mom of 3 girls, (15 13 and 4) this sucks but your videos are giving me some form of cameraderie right now. I pray one day we can both be here to see them graduate high school. That would be amazing. Thanks for sharing your life here.

I am SO sorry you are going through this. I know this time is scary, and all we want is to be there for our kids for as long as we can… But just know that treatments have come SUCH a long way. And your kids will have the opportunity to see true perseverance and strength through your journey. It helps to let his teacher know about his issues (in case she doesn't know). She'll be able to help him deal with what's bothering him and can let you know how his day is going so you don't have to wonder all day. I was a primary teacher for 42 years and it meant so much when parents clued me in on "issues" I might have missed. I hope today was much better for him!

Awww sweet friend 😌… Im crying a bit along side you. So normal to have all those emotions bubbling up. Cove is going to be fine.. 💛. You did take the right decision in having him go to school. He would have had to go back at one point anyway. Better face the monster right away instead of putting it off. Love Capri’s spunkiness 🥰.

I also knew such a lady. Cancer in the 40ies and 60ies, stopped chemo while the second cancer, and lived until she was 86. 😮

My PET scan done recently didn't really worry me either. The immunotherapy that I've been on since December has done the job because my original Melanoma was dead when it was removed and the metastatic lesions were not. So l have been trying to focus my energy on positive thoughts. I got the results recently and there was no evidence of disease! I will continue the Keytruda through the end of the year as a precaution and my oncology team will recommend any treatment going forward. Hold good thoughts! Your scan will be good too! Hey Meridith You truly are amazing annd have showed me ways to stay emotionally strong. I wish you knew how much it helps to see that others are on same journey and not that i wish anyone on the path with Melenoma, it helps that i am NOT alone. I felt so alone when i found out it was in my brain. Every scan i am literally shaken. ..To core... a week before the scan, than theres the wait for results. I cannot e plain the FEAR.. When i had TOXIC side effects and HAD to stop treatments. That was so scary, now i wait for another plan of treatments. : (... You are so brave, its normal to cry and be emotional and terrified with scans, being strong is stre gth those emotions are part of bravery . Hi Misty I used to have pet scans every 4 months. I've just gone out to a year now. Don't worry about it. It doesn't hurt Just a needle prick to fit a canular The rest is just boring takes ages My last one took three hours.

Meredith please find out and talk to Cove about why he did not want to go to school, if he normally loves it as a teacher for 25+ years I would not brush this off THERES A VALID reason please protect him and find out why, it’s crucial, hopefully it’s just anxiety and not an internal issue about the school or someone at the school, hugs ❤

I completely understand this. I know exactly why he didn’t want to go to school, and we had a very long conversation about all of it. I definitely wouldn’t brush that under the rug… I’m obviously just not going to talk about details of all this on my vlog. Hi. Your scan time is really quick. When I have my body scan, It's called a Pet scan I arrive I go into a small room where they check blood sugar then fit a canular into my arm. Then a doc will inject radioactive contrast into my system. Then I have to sit alone for one hour for the contrast to flow around my system. This radioactive contrast makes any tumor light up. Then I go to the scanner this takes twenty minutes to go through. The whole process takes at least 3 hours. You look great, I know it's hard with young children But try to keep your emotions in check. You do a great job with them But at the moment you have to be thinking of you. Being positive and strong is the key to beating this thing. Good luck I really hope the scans are getting better each time.❤

Yes, I only have CT scans most of the time, and they are super quick! Rather than full-body pet scans, which I have had previously but don’t do everytime! Those can be sooo brutal, to lay there still for that long, so I feel for you. Thanks so much for your encouragement and kind words. You are so sweet. 💕

Hey I still love a good elliptical machine workout! And that was my go-to cardio in the gym before I started trail running, so way to go girl!! Crushing it 👏 And thank you so much for your sweet encouragement. Cove is having a good weekend, and I’m sure he’ll feel better about things soon enough. Hi Meredith. Have you even watched Dr. William Lee on YT? He recommends using food to fight cancer and just watched his discussion on how important it is to have gut bacteria such as Akkermansia to fuel your immune system to kill cancer. I've been following him and incorporated many of his science-based suggestions. Sending thoughts and hugs to you🥰

I have been motivated by the 1 hour a day message you have given. Although too hot to walk or hike outside and with snake problems in the heat in Mexico I have taken to the water swimming and snorkeling and doing physical projects in the house - thank you!!! Did you say you were trying to get in less protein and that it was hard on a plant based diet? I thought it was more difficult to get in protein on a plant diet and why would you want less protein?

I had to go back and listen to myself, and it does sound like I said “less protein” 🤦🏼‍♀️ but I meant More… maybe I said “lots of” protein and I didn’t annunciate?? I don’t even know lol my brain was clearly not all there that day. But yes, I’m trying to get in MORE protein, which I really have to be intentional to do this on a plant-based diet.

Just be careful with digestive. They can cause "heat" from an Eastern perspective, in the gut. Which is inflammation. Just be careful.....

I hesitate saying that I’m “finished” with treatment, because there’s a chance that I will have to go back on it if my cancer progresses at some point. But I’m done for now! We also didn’t have a specific plan with a number of treatments I would have with this immunotherapy… we just kept going with it until we decided it was safe to stop basically. I honestly don’t know how many I had, but I did it consistently for 2.5 years 😮‍💨

Blessings dear one. I too am a new sub. I will be praying with you and for you going forward. I’m praying you will keep an open mind and check out a lot of ways of eating for health. True health. Please check out Dr Ken Barry and cancer. There are other great Drs out there who really know what they are talking about. Some have been lying to us and it’s good to find out which ones. Ultimately GOD is in control and HE has you. Much love❤️
