One thing I’ve come to realize about almost all Presages is that the camera does not do it justice. If you think it looks good now, wait till you see it in person. They’re freaking spectacular.
Very nice congrats on the Seiko ... I too love my Presage Cocktail time in Iced blue (with just the indices and no numerals) ... probably be the watch I'll wear to a wedding in September. The other Presage Cocktail time I really like is the Mojito which has a similar dial design/ pattern as yours.
Thanks mate. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the different options really. They all look great. It's the ideal watch to wear to a wedding I think. Good choice.
My first Seiko was a quartz I got as a gift in the 90's (gold dial and case) - still have it - although not the original strap or buckle. The first I bought myself was the SUP880 Seiko tank.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR not necessarily ... a JLC Reverso could take it out but that is a grail watch and a LONG way off. As for the 90's quartz I rarely if ever wear it so it is always on the bubble.
Very nice mate. I prefer it on the leather strap. I've got my eye on the green and gold version. My first Seiko was the Sea Urchin, which I never wore, so sold it to my mate, and told him to look after it as it's going up in value.
That’s funny. I figured you had half a dozen Seiko’s. My first watch was a Seiko SZSB015. It was supposed to be my only watch I wore on special occasions. Otherwise I always wore the latest Apple Watch. Just out of curiosity, I wanted to find out more about my Seiko, found about 1,000 videos, started watching them, discovered Aliexpress, gave my Apple Watch to my daughter and now I live, eat, and breathe affordable automatic watches. Thanks Seiko! And that SM strap looks way better. Sorry for long post.
I have lots of Seiko homages in the collection, but this is the first actual Seiko. Yeah that's how it starts. I found out about AliExpress watches through Jody at Just One More Watch. Bought a couple, then a few more. Now a few years later here I am... I had to start a RU-vid channel to justify the amount of watches I have to the Mrs 😆
Nice looker. I'd have bought several Presage models but I'm not giving Seiko a free pass on crystals any more. I own an embarrassing number of Seikos but all with sapphire. No sapphire, no deal.
Well done showing the dial in the sunshine, it really came alive 👍 . I think it looked much nicer on the leather strap, the full polished case was just too much on the mesh.
It really does pop when the sun hits it doesn't it? You'd almost think it was a different watch. It does look good on the leather strap. I think this would look good with pretty much any strap though.
Absolutely stunning....truly a cracking watch....there is one thing i dont understand, the date window, why would they do that....not a deal breaker though, enjoy my friend....🏴⌚🏴⌚
That is a georgeous watch and dial. I think i like it better than my blue dial Presage srpb41. Your video reminded me I hadn't worn than in a couple of months so that's what I'm wearing today on a Strapcode milanese rhat has a really nice 20 to 16 taper. But most Strapcode milanese have only a 20 to 18 taper. Thanks for the review James!
@HonestWatchReviewsHWR the one you bought has a very similar indices layout to a Tissot Visodate that I bought, but the Tissot dial is just plain lacquered and bit the gorgeous detail on your Seiko.
Awesome dial and the color is a winner but for my own personal preferences, the bracelet would need to be changed out. Mesh is a no for me. Leather strap for me on this one. Still like it the watch though. Cheers!
It really is. I'm not sure about a croc strap though, as they aren't my favourite really. That being said though, In think this would look good with lots of different straps.
What an absolute belter. The dial and the shine makes it a dazzler, too posh for me I think. I’ve never owned a Seiko but the majority of my watches are Seiko powered.
I bought this one for 300 euros. Pretty great value for the money. I am not a fan of mash bracelet and I changed it for nice dark brown retro leather strap and it suits the watch really well.
It is good value for money on the whole. I actually quite like it on the Milanese strap myself... So, I've yet to change the strap out to anything else.
