So many people asked me about my Lyre Harp and my first song on it,so here goes my "tutorial" in case you would like to support my work or make a donation by paypal:janlaurenz@gmail.com Thanks for watching guys, you are the best
The lyre is an instrument that dates back to 1400 BC in Greece. If only the inventor of the lyre knew that thousands of years later, we would still be enjoying (his?) creation. I thoroughly enjoyed your demonstration. Thank you.
Ohh 😍thank you Jan!! This was exactly what you explained to me. Now I get to see it visually. SO HELPFUL!! I am more comfortable with the pads of my fingers or nails rather than the pick.( it's faster for me. ) That's so kind to help us newbies. It's a beautiful lyre and you're kind. I've saved this video. . ⭐🎶
thank you for making this. I was thinking about having a lyre for a while and because of your video, I finally did it. I'm holding my lyre and following your tutorial now.
Thank you so much! 💚 I'm going to try some of these tectonics and hopefully the whole song where I get better! I did notice it sounds nice when I play two strings apart but I didn't really thing about practicing the 3 in a row yet!
Grazie Jan, molto utile. Io ho un’arpa greca con le corde in canna da zucchero, il suono è molto diverso. Questa ha un suono più ‘celtico’, molto bello! 🎶
Because of this song , I purchased same lyre and I’m attempting to learn this song. Very ambitious I must confess , grin, but I’m determined to learn! ;) I’ve slow down to look at your hands so I can write the notes but some aren’t possible. Anyway you could share the notes ? Perhaps a pay download ❤?
Will you please link the maker /model of this lyre ? I don’t understand about the pick up is it plugged into an amplifier? Is it built into your lyre or glued? I enjoyed your video very much.
Hi,thanks!! i've seen that you found the place i ordered it from,on Gonsic youtube channel.i got mine from them,i could'nd find this model anywere else...i hope you find yours!!
Thanks :) yes this one is hard to find,i got mine after writing a comment under a youtube video channel called "Gonsic" there you will find a woman playing this exact model,a lot of people ask me were i got it :) i hope this was helpful
Hi,i played that song on a 12 string acoustic tapping guitar,i don't think many people own one of those,so a tutorial dosen't makes much sense i think...since on normal guitar it's impossible to play...anyway thanks for your request :)
Hi it's called Walter.T Lyre harp,i got mine trough a youtube channel called "Gonsic" there you will find a woman playing this exact same model,i couldn't find it nowhere so i got it from them, nice Lyre Harp
Haha that's funny! I'm opposite. I can read music sheet very easily. Okey I will try to get it by ear but it's too hard for me :D if I get it I'll write music sheet and share here.
