All of these products would be SOO much fun for a sleepover party for kids. As an adult, I would love them as well, but I think kids would really enjoy them.
We Filipinos have cheese in/on some of our desserts. On our sweet bread rolls called ensaymada, we use cheddar cheese...and in our ice cream, we use Pina brand cheese which comes in a red ball and Is a Dutch cheese called Edam.
cheese is a very popular flavor in the Philippines!! It's one of my fave flavors! If you can find Magnolia brand anywhere near you, that's what I always had as a kid ❤
I live in NYC, and the piggy steamed buns are my kid's favorite when we get dimsum. Piggy custard is the highlight of his dimsum experience, whereas I'm totally there for the chicken feet, the boneless duck feet, and the duck tongue. Yesh...I'm the weird Gweilo...lol. They literally chuckle every time I point to what I want. A few of my regular favorite spots already know me and come right over.
The mangosteen one looks like it had a spongebob flower on top.... I love it. And while I love matcha ice cream my favorite flavor of soft serve is black sesame and it's hard to find in the US.
The ice cream macaron is great if you pick a good flavor. If you’ve never had one it’s definitely worth a try. Not everyone will like them. I’ve seen a variety of them at Whole Foods.
You should try out the Van Leeuwen ice creams! They're a french style ice cream so it's much more custard-y with more egg yolks in the recipe, but the flavors are the real stars of the show. The Earl Grey Tea flavor is my favorite, but they have some other unique ones like Lemon Poppy Seed Muffin, Buttermilk Berry Cornbread, Honeycomb, and more! The pints should be at most grocery stores, but you can buy them online too! Very thick, indulgent, and packed with flavor! You would love them! 🍨
Recently saw a "Jolly" episode on YT where they ate at a restaurant in London that had just earned its first Michelin star and they served a classy version of a pork "slider" served in a piggy bao bun.
I've been able to consistently find the Haagen-Dazs green tea matcha ice-cream at Publix. I always pick up a carton during their sushi day promotion c:
I have to agree with you with your review. When I went to Japan, I wanted to love the ice cream cones at the market, but it didn't have the same taste as fresh soft serve. And for steamed buns, they just aren't for me. I think you would have to grow up with them.
I think you need to take those melted cones back! If you have a Trader Joe's nearby they have mini ice cream cones and I like them a lot. Such cute buns!
@nicanonymus2491 Pretty similar to how Emmy described them. The ones I had were filled with the red bean paste instead of the custard like hers. The dough is really squishy, but pretty plain. I think I'll only buy them again for how cute they are!
Hi Emmy- they are stinkin cute 🐷 omg the fruits are just as cute. What a fun haul/ sorry about the mini cones. You make Thursdays and Saturdays so special!!!!
I think you should make bow with say strawberry jelly paste or like a pbj bao yas and like actual strawberry bao and so many different real nice flavors of bow bao? you know what I mean
The buns looks adorable but I feel like they missed a trick by not filling them with exciting, flavoursome ingredients! Very much style over substance.
We get the chocolate and vanilla mini soft cones in SCal from the local Korean mart. My teen loves them! He prefers soft serve over ice cream. They are pretty decent for frozen
Ugh, I felt the disappointment in the mini-cones, I would have been bummed too with the condition they're in. Those steamed buns are so adorable though, it's too bad they're so bland.
Omg I used to watch your slime videos as a kid on repeat for no reason-- might be from your comforting voice or beautiful slimes but I was shocked when I saw your video pop up on my home! Can't believe it's been almost 10 years..
Rechargeable products definitely have a shelf life. We have had to replace our vacuum and dust buster so mini vacuum a few times because the stupid rechargeable batteries died.
It's so disappointing when you open an ice cream and it's been melted & re-frozen and is a disgusting mess, I hate it when that happens, especially on hot days when you really want something to cool off with... :(
The refrozen ones migth be lazy custumer leave them out becouse change their minds. Sometimes other custumers find it before staff and instead tell them so they acculy cam check temperatur they pat their heads put it back in freazer and then this happen.
I just got back from Mitsuwa. They had the soft serve cones and I was tempted to buy it but I figured they would melt before I got home. Glad I didn't. BTW: The best matcha ice cream I've had outside of Japan is in Kapaa at a small shop called Matchaya. Amazing!
Oh my gosh! Does Emmy have someone that helps her record her videos?? That just blew my mind! I always thought she was a one woman show! I’m so glad she has help!! ❤️❤️❤️
Emmy: if your Drumstick cone had that weird rubbery texture, it was stale/freezer burnt. They should very much be crunchy. I'm guessing that one is, too.
