which chabot is this?...apparently, there's two in the bay area...one near the solano county fairgrounds and the other, near fremont...

I live like 5 minutes from Lake Chabot and never go fish there cause they always have a problem with blue algae there. Not sure how it is now but it was really bad like 2-3 years ago I think. I wouldn't eat anything I catch from there.

Do they have special hours that they allow people in?? You got there about the time the bite falls off. Looks like a great place to take the kids too. That is a really nice trout too!! As an old waterfowl hunter, I kept looking at the top of the screen for the geese. I can't help myself, I really miss hunting! Fishing and crabbing has taken it's place but it was a way of life for me. Thanks for the vid, another good one. For still fishing a glob of Valveta Cheese and Fireball Eggs on a small treble hook!!!
