My first time flying/traveling alone was when I was 19 years old been married for 6 months and I was going to visit my husband in his job training for the army. I got stuck an airport and had to find a last minute hotel it was a horrible experience but getting to see my husband for the first time in 6 months really made up for it ❤️

I just finished watching through all of your videos after a few months of lockdown in my country New Zealand. It's been wonderful to watch both of you grow so much over the years of traveling, and this solo flight is just another step. It's inspiring to see you both become more confident and comfortable throughout your travels and your video quality continue to improve. Great job capturing it all solo for the first time! My girlfriend and I have decided to try to vlog our future travels too. One suggestion I have is to split up your "watch from the beginning" playlist as scrolling through hundreds of videos on the list to get back to where I was up to viewing was time consuming. Having a playlist for each year would make it much easier to get back into each time someone wants to watch.

I love seeing you branch out and be independent, even though you miss Nate so much. It reminded me of when you started driving the van on your own in CO. I'm super single and, while I do have people I enjoy vacationing with, I love traveling on my own.

VIP lounges, business class seats, seems to be a good way to travel by oneself. Yep I know haven't been apart in 6 years. Been 43 for us and wife just spent a week apart with girlfriends at the beach. No tears. Just happy she enjoyed her time and enjoyed the reunion. Time to stop shedding tears. You live a life many can't afford. Enjoy it.

Awww, I can just imagine how strange it was to travel solo. I used to love flying by myself as a teenager, but I'm afraid of flying now and I don't know that I could do it alone without having a panic attack. Last time I flew was a year and a half ago with my husband from Orlando to Puerto Rico and that was scary enough. You did great, Kara. Proud of you, girl!

I been watching this journey from the start i can’t believe that y’all have been too 100 county’s. But I still can’t believe that Kara has never flown alone.

It's okay to be sad for leaving him for a few days. I remember the first time my husband left for work and, while it was just a short trip, it felt like a lifetime and I was a mess! Now we're currently 8 months and counting without seeing each other. You did amazing girl! It also goes to show you, that we are capable of so much more than we give ourselves credit for.

Loved watching your first flight! I recently got to experience my "first" solo flight again but this time as a wheelchair user! It felt a bit scary to fly by myself as a wheelchair user but the flight attendants and gate staff were amazing and so helpful!

Hi Kara so proud of you! I am from Ohio but, my husbands from Dubai and I travel to see family alone many times. Its a big journey and I've lived in Dubai for 27 years now and love it! The time alone lets you reflect on things and everything seems so small and you can accomplish anything you put you're mind to!!!

Hi Kara, I totally understand not wanting to be without Nate. I've been married to my hubby 23 years and just about the 6 year mark I took a trip with my dad and 2 kids on a 7 hour drive to see my nieces graduation. We were suppose to be gone a week, I didn't last but a few days. Being around family could not distract me from the ache I felt not being with my hubby. I felt a part of me was missing. Since then, I never took a trip with out him. Hope you enjoyed Michigan and your now reunited with your love. BTW all your adventures together are incredible. lol, this just shows how Relative & Subjective the world & life is. I've solo hitched boats up the entire Amazon river- Hiked the Amazon. Been in war zones & war. Crossed the Darién gap. Travelled with goats & chickens on trains through India. Trekked Mongolia & Kamchatka. Did a 300 foot scuba dive. And then there are people who are scared of flying alone 😁

I have travelled a lot on my own but always preferred to be with my husband, even though his definition of ‘on time’ was running to get on the plane just before the gates closed. I’m so PROUD of you Kara!!!!! My fiancé and I travel a lot, but obviously with covid, our travels have slowed down. However, I believe I could manage flying by myself, but I HATE turbulence and my fiancé who used to fly helicopters will reassume me everything is fine. So, props to you for doing it alone. I know for sure I wouldn’t be able to fly alone unless I really needed to!!!!

I had my first solo flight last year preCovid. My husband and I were stationed in Germany for 3yrs and I wanted to surprise my dad for his birthday. So I book a ticket and I made my way to the US alone for the first time. It took 3 planes and 10+ hours but I made it and my dad couldn’t have been any happier. I would do all over again because it’s a great experience and a challenge.

I love all your videos! I have dreams to travel many places, and the two of you inspire me to make that dream true. Out of the many RU-vidrs out there, I love your channel because of how genuine, sweet, curious, and goal driven you both are. Thank you for creating such a great channel, you are great at what you do and deserve everything you receive because of it! Side note: I flew by myself when I was only 11, and traveled alone just before Covid hit. I would consider myself to be more like Nate when it comes to navigating around, but I have to agree it can be lonely and the worst part is having to awkwardly sit next to a stranger. I couldn’t imagine having to film while doing so.

I was married to my David , for 42 years + 2 yrs dating =44 yrs of hardly ever apart. He passed away in 2020 at age 64. He was 21 and I was 18 when we meet. We were the same as you two. Always together..I thought I was going to die of a broken heart when he passed. He was my best half. We both played music together in church, he played bass guitar and I played piano. I know what you are feeling to be separated from him. I pray you two grow really old together!!
