If by together you mean both in the list of humans that no longer exist, then yes. If you mean some otherworldly, supernatural mumbo-jumbo like heaven, then no. He was a Zoroastrian. She was a Catholic. If either of them were right and an afterlife exists(highly doubtful), they wouldn't end up in the same place. He was bisexual and has laid down with men as you would a woman. Yahwe doesn't exactly like those that do that. And I am pretty sure Ahura Mazda would not be too fond of her worshiping some cheap knockoff of him called Yahwe.

the lyrics tell the story of when they met, in Barcelona. it’s Freddie’s love letter to Montsy. He idolized her. And she was very proud of her hometown.

I knew you would love this song💛 that's 2 Divas right there. Montsy is from Barcelona so he wrote this for her, they were going to do this at the 92 Olympics but Freddie died in 91 so Montsy sang this with a hologram of Freddie💔

Freddie wrote this song for Montserrat and the song Barcelona after Freddie’s death in 1991 the song was featured in the Summer Olympics in 1992 and was a hit in several countries , checkout another song be Freddie and Montserrat called ( How Can I Go On) also (The Golden Boy)both great songs , great reaction as usual thanks 🙏

Every time I hear this song I find a new level of appreciation for Freddie mercury. One of the most versatile singers ever. By the way this song Montsy was a native of Barcelona Spain and she was asked to help produce a song for the Olympics which was in Barcelona in 1992. This song was a huge hit at the 1992 Olympics.

Her brother was involved with the olympics. Mike moran has never suggested it was written for the olympics. She wanted to do a single with him so he wrote about when they met. It was then put forward for the olympics

Totally understand why you would feel that the song empowers you. It was chosen for the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics. Freddie passed away in 1991 but they included this during the Opening Ceremony with Montserrat singing along with Freddie’s hologram. So, it does have that pageantry and majestic feel of the Olympics. You need to also react to Golden Boy.

With this immortal, triumphant duet, an anthem noting less.we have the ultimate symbiosis, the meeting and blending perfectly, of two massive musical talents from totally different worlds. For me in the opening verses it is as though Montserrrat Caballe's(Caball-Yay) voice is soaring bird like, in the air high above a forest, whilst Freddie's softer tones remind me of a squirrel perhaps scurrying around the forest floor(Not in any way intended to be derogatory, everything has it's place). Then the Stirring first chorus, the emphatic "BARCELONA"..!! and Freddies voice too takes flight, to join hers in Triumph..!! Astounding...!!

There's documentary videos on RU-vid of their first meeting and some interviews. Truly magical. She also is seen at his funeral and at the dedication of his statue in Montreux. 💜

If you’re loving Freddie and Montsy together, you must try “La Japonaise” - very few reactors have done this one. There is no live video for it, only audio from the album. It’s a song for closing one’s eyes for pure listening bliss.

This song was composed by Freddie for Montserrat in honor to his great admiration for her. It was supposed to be the official song for Olympics games in Barcelona 1992, but Freddie unexpectedly died in 1991.

No. The reality is that Freddie was HIV-positive. He was contamined in 1983 during a tour in the United States but discovered his disease in 1987 because he was sick and his personal doctor told him to make an HIV which was positive. 1987 is also the year when he created the album with Montserrat. And after the last studio session, Freddie said to Montserrat the fact that he will not be present at the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games in Barcelona. Montserrat tought Freddie would traveling, but Mercury answered that he his HIV-positive and when the Games will start, he will certainly died.
